Why Most People Suck At Holding Angles

- Based on these results, holding an angle is not just about crosshair placement and good ping. It shows us that we can lower our reaction time if we play it correctly.
The results should be interpreted with caution because the participants were primarily students and not limited to esports athletes.

I noticed that I would basically "fall asleep" while holding corners
so un consciously, i started jiggling in place and imagining some one peeking to keep my reaction time up
i didn't know i was doing a researched backed technique lol
Yep, same ;D
I still don't understand how a few pros on Dust 2 can hold down the double door from T-Spawn and actually hit a shot after waiting 60 seconds. I would definitely “fall asleep” in those situations ;)
@@Aimcademy_Guyi think it's cause of the enviroment, it's high pressure, they are always thinking that at any second someone will push that angle. I have tried keeping my trigger and brain ready for someone to pop out and it kinda works, keeps your brain working or you can just keep strafing xd
@@jeams6836 Yeah, it's likely that players can get used to these situations to some degree, but it's unlikely that even professionals can maintain the same reaction time after 60 seconds of waiting compared to just 1 second.
Would be a fun investigation IMO. 😄
I like this content and I hope you can get better audio quality one day. keep it up.
Thank you!🙌
The audio will be better next time!😅
Ong, your content has the fundamentals to become good, you just gotta keep improving the little areas of it and you'll be the person people flock to for information
@@Aimcademy_Guy I think you forgot to change your input to the microphone you're holding lol
I'm so happy to see fresh content creators in this underrated field
love how this video is:
1) quick
2) snappy
3) immediatly gets to the point
4) well made
5) respects my time
Thank you for your appreciation!
This comment didn't respect my time, could have summarized all 5 points into 1
If you don’t have a dedicated audio room, cover yourself with a weighted blanket (or a normal blanket), it’ll block echo and became a makeshift audio room.
cool Idea! thanks :)
The Eevee slippers do it for me... mic sucks though 😘
It’s not the mic itself but the room they are recording in they need to put dampening in
Great info, better audio quality would be amazing for the next video!
Good video, and i like the explanation. I enjoy science based content like this. i do get bored holding angles sometimes LOL
Love the content, instant subscribed, best of luck growing your channel. Love science of aiming
Very nice video I hope more people would know about it giggle peak is so much better than just holding open
bro this was very helpful and i agree ty for ur good video i hope much much better audio at next one
Thank you! I will ;)
Great video, interesting content love it
nice info. Keep it up 🔥
Thanks, will do! 🙌
how have u got a handheld mic but the audio sounds like its coming from inbuild mic from across the room?
Goofy ah set-up
tbh i have no clue why it is that bad😅 but i promise it will be better next time🖖
subbed! hope to see better audio soonnn
Nice video! but I noticed you're using a mic but the audio seems to be captured by the webcam anyways thanks for the amazing information!
Hi man, you can greatly enhance your sound with Izotope RX software. Content is cool, good luck with the channel!
so to keep the reaction time fast, w key into the enemy
True ;)
I really urge you to get a better mic and re-record this video. i did not finish it because its extremely inaudible and straining on my ears, but it seems good
Thank you for the Feedback. The audio will be better next time!
I thought of the seagulls too
The seagulls were absolutely necessary in this case!😆
agreed lol
This is called “falling asleep” on an angle lmao
Like he said jiggling the angle (AT RANDOM timings) is very strong, not only for “reaction” time but also you have higher chances of catching the enemy crosshair further away from you
Has six year ago I know this, I probably push pass platinum in siege. What a shame
This happens faster to people with ADHD.
Starting at anything for too long leads to the eyes quite literally unfocusing.
Moving tends to counter it, but it's entirely possible to have the movement become auto piloted and your eyes still lose that focus.
Not sure what fix works
Good point. Must be really tough to deal with that.
I have slight inattentive ADD…. Facts… my mind will wander quickly.
Nice video! Like others have said mic quality could use some improvement. Captions might help and or speaking louder
nice video, next time make sure you have a good sound for your mic ! Sound is so important in a video, especially this type of content.
try recording in a closed small room, we can hear a lot of resonance. And EQ the sound. Good luck bro
Thank you for the feedback! I will definitely try those things :)
The issue isn't actually the mic itself, but the room you're recording in
its a large empty room no?
that creates a lot of natural reverb
it's a cool sound effect but obviously like the others have said, it reduces clarity
suggestions: you can just ship this video as is, except you redub/redo audio it in a different room (like a closet full of clothes, or a car)
or you can put stuff in the current room to deflect the bouncing sound waves
i suggest looking up "sound proofing for recording" or "improve voiceover quality"
most microphones are good enough, i just don't want you to spend extra money for maybe no reason
You probably have a decent mic already so don't worry too much about that
Thank you for the great and detailed feedback!
You are right, it was a pretty big room. ;) I will make some audio checks in smaller rooms. :D
idk that clip on mid is just peakers advantage lol
liebs, weiter so 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank You!🤩
thanks
nice video
Upping my Valorant skills🎉
Good content, but please get a better mic. I suggest something from Blue Yeti series.
Thank you for the feedback. I will take a look at it :)
Idk, when playing awp I don’t see this difference tbh. Maybe only valid for normal guns
W Video
Ummmmm. I’m pretty sure that was peakers advantage. lol.
in this clip you are probably right xD
bro how can the audio quality be so bad in 2024 even cheap phones have better mics than that
So whats the solution
1:35 jiggle the corners.
Relax behind safe objects 👌
and turn on full focus if you are in action 🙌
lol @ seagulls
hahahaahh
For me I have focus issues when holding an angle, my trick is that I would constantly flick my mouse up and down to keep focus while spamming A D a little bit, I noticed players like kangkang doing this when he OPs
Nice strat! I've never seen this before in a game, but I might try it out myself :D
Great video, just improve your audio
So its peekers advantage……
Lol
Peekers advantage usually refers to latency benefits.
This is a different type of peekers advantage, so you are basically right ;)
Has a mic but is not using it
What is this childish game where you shoot a dragon and not a gun. Cs2 just better
tbh, I like both games and sometimes I hate both games, but for full transparency, I even played Fortnite seven years ago, so maybe I am just strange ;)
@@Aimcademy_Guy Nah fortnite goated
