I have been a contractor for 36 years and you and your team place concrete second to none!.. I enjoy watching your channel and have learned a ton watching you and your crew!... Great content
100% Agreed
btw, if you do not mind:
Did you guys use a jitterbug? We did on just about every pour, never seen Tom use one, or anyone else on you tube ??
Love the parade idea. Great community participation. Throw lots of candy👍👍👍
Philadelphia Mike here -- yes you are kind of funny the way you script your videos. -- it’s like you’re a teacher trying to teach us how to do step-by-step concrete -
As I told you before, I’m a retired concrete businessman -- I enjoyed the way you do your jobs -- You remind me so much of my grandfather -
Everything had to be precise - didn’t care how long we took long as the job was done, right
I see that’s the way you and your team are --
I still say you’re the top three of all the concrete TH-camrs
I hope I never change. Thanks
Boy have you made progress from doing the Morgans concrete, I think Mike will be needing your assistance in the near future when he getsthe wood yard in order. Nice job!!
Everybody's a beginner sometime. I watched that video where you were stamping Mike and Melissa's patio, and you were fine. I found it informative and entertaining.
Thanks
We handle the heat well down south. Start early - pouring by 5 except where local laws won't allow. Mostly that is 7AM. But exceptions are allowed sometimes. Overnight pours do happen in industrial zones, Mostly, there aren't noise rules there. We sometimes use burlap sheets or canvas tarps and sprinklers on timers to keep it moist that first day, maybe the second. Love your work. Concrete Artistry! Happy 4th Thanks to all our Veterans for letting us have it.
Nice job as usual Tom, i remember those hot days, the ones you come home did not want to eat, just shower and very doon bed. Not when i was 25, when i was 50, now i'm 71. :) I worked about 3-4 hours repairing my roof, about a month ago, and at 71, i did ok, but the next day, i remembered i am not 45 no more LOL
Three hardest jobs i have ever done, Roofing, Concrete work, Working for the Rail Road on Track Crew. Later a brakeman,, [rode caboose then] Most do not have a caboose anymore] I was 21, did not have the new equipment they have now, we drove the spikes in will mauls, pick up the track with manual track jacks, and shovel all the stone, carried the hot creosote ties by hand, it would burn your skin etc. Never again LOL Love your videos - beautiful finished work.
Your attention to details is great Tom, like the steps with the cutout - 100 x better looking.. Long winded again
:) 🙏
Love it thanks
You're lucky with weather, here in England we have constant cloud cover and rain almost every day. Some people have their heating on all through June!
Great idea on the inlay for each side of the steps! Enjoyed the video!
Top notch workmanship fellas. Nice job!
I was in the business for 45years in Halifax N S and I never seen knee boards until I watched you and Victory I did all my finish with just the bull float. Jim.
Did you guys use a jitterbug? We did on just about every pour, never seen Tom use one, or anyone else on you tube ??
Your content is always improving. Love the go pro parts, and showing multiple jobs
Thanks 👍
Love those inlays you guys do on your steps!
I know right - beautiful
I wondered why not spray them with the release agent. Perhaps the Styrofoam would react horribly to the liquid release.
Good Sunday, thanks for another great video ☕️🦌
Happy Fourth of July to you and your family and crew Tom. We are celebrating 🇨🇦 day tomorrow 👍
I had a Grandpa that was in a Polka band & the other Grandpa was a well driller, they both were in the local Parades I got to be in it with either one! Excellent childhood memories😊
Fantastic video as always. That house with the steps sure looks familiar 😊Around the 17 minute mark I can hear my daughter playing the piano.
I am super happy with my new steps - great job!
Thanks, Tim. I really appreciate the work. And your daughter plays the piano incredibly well.
Remember your video at the Morgan's place you were diffently green and a rookie at this you've come a long ways enjoying this Sunday video keep up the good work and videos.
I appreciate that!
Get your gloves ready, Haus is up, Lol. Beautiful patio and steps! Thank for sharing.
glad you came on today , raining here not much to do , remember when Fitzgerald played for Pitt - against WV
Nice work as always !
It was a heat index of 106 here in Virginia Beach 🥵🥵🥵
I hate this weather
Stay cool & safe Fellas
Have a day
Yall killed this one!!
More awesome work as always
The more you practice, the better "patter" you give and you get.😊
Just love when you laugh smile! Great jobs as usual. Great video!
You and your guys really know how to hustle. Great job and vedio. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
You are such a great guy...Happy 4th to all of you......
You n ur team always do a great job,!!!
Always running wide open and one more small job. Hopefully the July 4th video happens. Figure a way out to do a wheel barrow of candy if not the buggy. At a idle, it won't be to loud. Attach a barrow to the bumper some how. I look forward to what you come up with.
Good job guys and Happy 4th
Thanks same to you
Very nice work and hope that everyone has a wonderful 4th of July!!
Thanks! You too!
@@Concretewiththehauses You are very welcome!
I can't believe more people don't opt for the barn wood pattern you used at Tommy's house. It's crazy how much it looks like wood. Does it cost more?
I like your style Tom.
Your videos are awesome 👍
Glad you like them!
When I was younger the old timers would tell me to always lay down a piece of styrofoam or cardboard before sitting or laying down on green concrete. Something about the heat and humidity seeping through and messing with your body. Idk if it was bs or not but to this day I still do it
The level of attention to detail you show should be the standard.
Skid steer full of candy is cool
Wish I went to high point, used to work the national races
Happy 4th of July got 5 days to go we go to our camp on a small lake up here good time
nice video, looks good
Thank you 👍
Nice Vid!
Bang on job
Do the parade, sounds like a great idea. I'm looking forward to it.
We used to oick it up with a concrete buggy. Have you ever cover the concrete with wet burlap when picking it up with a trailer
106 in Az. at 5 pm.
Our 4th of is canceled due to flooding, Davenport Iowa 🤣🤣🤣in LeClaire Park.
Oh, so sorry to hear that
Whats the roller your using? Does a good job it looks like it could be a marshaltown
How/when did you seal up the brick wall when you poured the steps first? Was that just not recorded?
What kind of concrete sealer do you use?
Love your videos but man why don’t you 2 man rod you have enough people. Keep up the good work
Sounds like a great town. I do doubt they would allow a drone for obvious safety concerns. Happy 4TH.
Very true
obvious safety reasons? living in fear must be a real drag
Happy 4th of July!
Same to you
@@Concretewiththehauses Thank you 😊
Happy Independence Day
how many gal.did that patio take
Im surprised u dont go to the Morgans 4th of july bash
You guys do great work, make it look easy but I know it's not.
What ever happened with the huge hole underground that you were filling with stone ? Surprised there was no follow up in this video on what the final outcome was with that ?
I know we’ve videoed filling it in
@@Concretewiththehauses Ah I did not know if anything else was involved or anything tricky or all you had to do is dump the rock down :). Great videos as always though
Tom don’t they put ice or dry ice in the mixer on hot days? As for your personal growth, it just shows that you have became more comfortable as time went on.
In Az we do use ice in the mix if ordered that way and have very cold water in the tank..Of course that's extra too. The cold water sprays on the drum
on the way to the job it helps.
There's a lot of drunkard cokehead business owners in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.. I deal with the lunatic ravings of a cocaine mind all the time I'm sick of it. Nice job by the way
Why do you not us power trowels?
Sometimes
@@Concretewiththehauses Not an answer.
Can I ask why no fiber was used?
Sometimes it stands up
That’s kind of what I thought but I wasn’t sure. Thank you!
Ya
I have always thought why don't you guys wear button up shirts on the job? From personal experience (and I am a tad chubby) that t-shirts were hotter to wear than button up shirts.
Concert isn’t made for this heat? Neither am I!
My son says that when it gets hot out (90 and up) that I turn into a turtle. Only sticking my head out of the house occasionally 😂😂.
@@ronallen6578hahaha. I always tell my wife after I get off work on hot days, 90 and up, I’m going into my dark cold hole. Aka the basement. You won’t see me again until time to go back to work.
Even at the Morgan house you sounded better than Biden.
If you like that you can send me a shirt. LOL
@@exmethol Sound just like Trump begging for shit.
If you would like a big laugh. Watch Easy E concrete. Unfortunately this guy gets his attention from Ryan at victory.
What does that bother you? He has little group of fans along with his haters.
