They have balls of steel working like that. Grafters for sure, but at those heights, it’s a bit crazy to not have kind of safety in place. Confident workers with no fear at all 💪🏻
It's so good seeing young men killing it in the building trades!! Those guys are fearless and look like they have been doing this for decades!!! There is faith in our next generation!!!
This crew is so admirable in the way they perform their jobs. You always hear how young guys nowadays don't want to work. Not these guys! We need more like them!!
Now that's a crew and builder worth using. Non-stop action, outstanding preparation, planned to perfection, and a great advertisement for their company. Young men at their best.
A well oiled and efficient crew is so satisfying to watch. The fact that this crew is so young is awesome and gives me hope for the future of craftsmanship!
One major injury, and the company will be forced by insurance to use lifts, which will increase the cost of projects. After seeing this video, they might not wait for the injury.
Those young men are experts!! Their employer is blessed to have them!! The building looks great & will be perfect for all you do - so happy for y'all. God bless you and your family! 🙏♥️👍
Great progress on the new build. Using the trusses that you purchased 2 years ago and designing the building to incorporate them was visionary thinking.
That building would be a dream come true for me. Nice size with lean to's for equipment storage. Love to watch the process. R&R Buildings just started to build a building on their channel that is 300 plus feet long! Love watching your channel grow and your lifestyle develop. I've been a long time subscriber and have loved your content through the years. Thanks for bringing me along for the ride Adam.
Very nice building Adam, it should serve you well. It is really reassuring to see such hard-working young men. Great work ethic, which is certainly not as common as it used to be.
Adam, these guys are amazing. Not only do they not have any wasted motion they are fearless when it comes to walking around on this structure. This will be a really nice structure and hopefully meet your needs for a long time. Anyway, stay safe healthy and cool. Bill H from Cranberry Township
That is CRAZY, how balanced and agile those kids are, especially over 16ft in the air. 😮 This building....it's going to be soooo much fun for us to watch exactly how you decide to use it. I can't wait to see the coming videos. 👏😀👏
@@charlesmach7511 I wish I had monies and didn't live 2:53 hr away. Those guys do great work and I'd make them basket for the skid-steer before they came lol
Looks great! You’ll never regret this investment. If I could convince Jennifer, I’d save up and build another pole building on our adjoining property. My 40x60 filled up fast.
Adam, lotta comments bout the crew being young, but being young your still fearless, nimble, and strong,.. AND they ARE professionals, Great crew, awesome build, worth every penny !
Definitely. I have a building that hasn't had doors on it for 2 years now. Bird nests to knock down daily, hornet nests to spray every week or so... Don't even get me started on the carpenter bees. I really need to put doors on it, but I really want to put a floor down first.
Glad you gave the information about the builders at the end. I am about an hour south of Greenville, well within their maximum area of travel. Close enough to consider them for a future pole building build we are considering.
I am pretty cavalier when it comes to my own health and safety and have a collection of scars to prove it, but your contractors take this to a new level, one slip from that height and there a good chance you are spending the rest of your life in a wheelchair - if you survive the fall.
Those guys work together well. Pretty amazing how fast they work and still maintain good quality of work….All while you stand over them drinking your coffee. Did you buy them lunch?
It’s amazing how fast these things go. With most building, it’s the finish work that takes forever. Lot of worker safety violations though… fall protection, ppe with the chainsaw, no gloves handling the metal roofing (those edges can be nasty), etc. That’s a huge building!
You should have a scissor lift on this job. I can't believe this is filmed and posted online with no regard for safety. A scissor lift would be way faster and safer.
Really surprised they let you film this with guys well over 6ft above the ground and not tied off. OSHA would have a field day with this video. As a full time safety guy it just makes me shake my head that the owner doesn’t care enough about his employees to give them the tools to do it safely and make it home to their families at the end of the day. One slip and someone’s life if forever changed.
Thats how we did it 20 plus years ago,,,, if the safety inspector rocked up,, they would take us to town lock up,,,, and charge us over 100 000 in fines
Stack the longer boards from the sawmill against the back wall of scissor truss area. Make or buy a material rack. You could box in 10' of that area to be a solar kiln. Having a clean work site is wonderful. I hate tripping over clutter. Especially when the clutter doesn't need to be there.
How did they account for the scissor trusses pushing the 16ft columns outward as the center of the truss deflects downward under load? Not the best use of scissor trusses. Hope that doesn’t cause you issues down the road.
Wow, incredible efficiency and tremendous young craftsman. I spent 40 years in the construction trade. I called these guys the flash in the pan crew. None of them will be in this trade past 40 or 45 years of age. Some will fall and never be able to work in the trade again, others will be so beat up that they will have a hard time moving. An extremely dangerous work site and work conditions. And no, I’m not a Karen or Ken. I have seen men paralyzed. I’ve seen men fall and die. No safety harnesses no eye protection, kneeling on the ground with no knee pads , riding in a bucket. Efficiency yes unnecessary risk plenty.
Hi Adam. Since your new works so fast can you put a time on the video when it's in time lapse? It would be fun to see what time of day it was on each step.
I can't believe that the roof is housewrap and then metal roofing. That doesn't seem like it would stand up to a serious wind storm (especially the covered sawmill area). Is that typical for this type of building?
Impressive build, well done. Have you any plans to pipe/collect the rain water away from this building , that roof will collect a lot of water and maybe trigger mud and local drainage issues. Time yet to do what is maybe needed.
Adam, what about lift? When I built my barn I had to pour concrete with anchors under the post to keep the barn from lifting. This was due to the height and to prevent wind lift. I did not see this here, any engineering done on this?
MAAAAAAANNNN, You're absolutely Lucky you live where you do. Those contractors working like they are at the beginning of this vid Wouldn't At All get away with the way they are hoisting themselves and the lumber up to the mounting points of the frames here in So. Cal. Its so regulated that local state and county law enforcement, and city code inspectors driving around and should they see that kind of work practices being used, can and will shut down the work site. If the homeowner or building contractor has a pulled permit that permit is suspended pending the OSHA Review board. If there's no work permit somebody's going to pay a fine and could go to jail.
What state in the US is this shed being constructed? I’m sure most other States would not allow this. A simple slip or sudden gust of wind would be a widow maker. It was hard to watch.
Holy smokes, America never disappoints... As clean and efficient as they are, doesn't mean shit if they end up in a wheelchair or potentially worse. What year are we in?...
The reason these guys are so quick is that there is no regard for health and safety. The company would have been shut down ages ago over here in the UK. Good luck to them if they get over our nanny state.
I'd think the biggest reason you'd want the sawmill end of the building closed would be to keep debris from blowing or migrating from the sawmill area to the interior. Sawdust on everything would be a headache.
As long as your contract places the crew's health and safety liability 100% on the contractor then those guys' work habits are amazingly efficient. I wish them all the best of luck.Have you ever thought of putting in a chicken run under that lean to?🤔
I’m so glad you finally got me some shade to work under.
😂😂

Just a suggestion, keep the opening in the side wall. Then frame out and install a small garage door.

It's Going to be a very nice building, Adam. You will be so glad many times that you went with the 16 feet height,
You’re going to have fun coming up with different layout options. I question the lack of roof sheathing though. It’s going to be an amazing space.
