I wish they would take away the metal borders of the cubes when you open the doors once it is powered. That way one could make insanely cool underwater bases!

You know what ark needs? Levyatan Melvillei A prehistoric giant albino spermwhale that for purposes like demolishing that base could smash through metal. Untameable with a size comparable to the titanosaur that roams the oceans like a boss. Normally an apex predator of the deep forced away from deeper waters with various frontal battlescars to tell the tale of its epic struggle against moerder. Reason being, theres no sea creature on ark at least that I know of that can destroy metal or tek structures underwater.
Yea this is one of the reasons I don't like the Tek gear. It's way to dependant on end game materials to make and maintain. Not to mention a underwater base could techincally be made with stone and metal teirs though they only allow it with a mod currently.
You dont NEED a moonhole, you can use one compartment as an airlock, keep all sides closed, when you enter it open the side you enter from, enter the block, close it behind you, then open the other side, this prevents flooding.
Moonpool isn't working. powergenerator is up and working, but moonpool isn't blocking water. You are freely swimming up it and it is instantly leading you to no water. That isn't what it is doing for me.
I think it was a good move from the devs. Because huge tribes or better to say, alpha tribes can´t just hide underwater. It takes a lot of time to get all the artifacts, to spawn a boss, to kill it and to build a really good underwater base you´ll have to farm a lot and by a lot I mean A LOT! So I think that devs did a good job with it that even small or medium tribes can survive on servers long enought to become stronger and to have a chance to fight these alpha tribes.
wildcard wants to keep the strong powerful and the weak beneath them. That's all this is, because only larger tribes will be able to have this, and even underwater is no longer safe for travel. ...Its actually pretty sad, really.

For those who want to start a smaller tribe, don't play official servers. As expected each hour you play puts you leagues ahead of the noobs. But people have beat you to the punch, hard. Not to mention cross servers. Start your own server, it's not hard, it can run in the background while you're on it. It's not as intensive as running the game twice over. I have my own server with it setup just how I like it. And if anyone comes on doing that tek domination stuff I snap em back to reality real quick. Ban their head hancho and leave the rest wiped. Someone has to only take items in my server, minimal damage. Necessary damage only. Passive tames, off turrets, unlocked containers, all off limits for demo.
