Great video! Couple things to add.. Always bring a chair with you, so you can place it to sit and regain stamina. And, if a Leed attacks your raft, throw a honey into the water, and it will deagro and swim far away.
I also would have included honorable mention for the baryonyx, I might have spelled that incorrectly. Their stun attack makes them incredibly safe to traverse the shallow waters in. They can stun megalodon, manta (making taming a basilosaurus easier), dolphins, turtles, jellyfish (although the range at which you can stun and kill the jellyfish safely is only slightly larger than when the jellyfish will stun you, so while you can do this it's tough), and maybe plesiosaur. Never tested it on them. Regardless, this makes them excellent aquatic mounts. They can even stun alpha megalodon with their attack making killing them even easier.
This video is perfect! I have watched hours of ark videos and I wish they were all this focused, well paced and clear. You are fast becoming my favourite. Wonderful content 😊
The Recommendation of a sarco is good, but most people forgett to grasp how amazing Sarcos realy are underwater. You can kill and tame almost everything with a sarco underwater cause it is sooo incredibly fast and you can shoot your crossbow from its back. So you can hit and run shoot tranq arrows into a mosa or Plesio and easy tame them with it, they regain stamina under water almost instantly, even while moving, they have the DPS of a rex in the water, and they can kill alpha Mosas by biting their ass while not getting hit back cause they are quicker. Also Sharks are food for them that cant realy fight back and their turn around attack slays Manta swarms easy. You can kill Jellys you encounter by shooting them from its back and if something like a tuso emerges, you are so quick you can just swim away from everything. I use Sarcos for most underwater stuff, so recomending them is a must! Baryonix are highly underrated as well, they can stun swarms of sharks and even Alpha sharks so going to caves with them makes it much easier if you have a basilo for jellys.... Just my Experience with Supercrocs... My Pro-Tipp....
The Leedsitchys are the reason why Ragnarok is my favorite map right now. They don’t spawn there, so I can actually use the raft to explore or bring stuff home (or build a mobile base or taming trap) without getting having to worry about something wrecking my boat, destroying everything I’ve built, and leaving me to get eaten by whatever happens to be in the area.
Man... ragnarok is just the superior map in general, even to this day. I like most of the maps for different reasons, but the majesty of rag just doesn't get old to me for some reason. With that said... I kind of wish leeds existed on pvp servers lol... people abuse the raft life way too much for griefing purposes, which is why leeds were introduced to begin with (albeit, poorly).
At the start you say you need the Scuba set which are lvl 81 engrams and then 2min down the road recommend taking a crossbow since you won't be high enough level for the harpoon gun, at lvl 43 :P
That is very true, I didn't think about the scuba level lol. I guess because I was doing it on the island, I usually spend the first hour just doing explorer notes, so by that time you can get level 80, then once I'm a decent level I then start to make things :)
This is absolutely golden! I am far from a seasoned Ark player and am even more noob when it comes to water.....with the information in this video at least I can begin to dip my toes into the deep to experience the other half of the game i have previously missed out on! I'll subscribe for good measure :) take care dude
I enjoyed your video structure. Cut to the chase, didn't ask me to sub and like as soon as I got here. You deserve more subs if you continue to put out content like this. don't give up
i remember traveling by raft witha friend seeing a mosasaur on the edge of a ocean cliff and I jumped off and tried punching it to death despite it being level 130
I am terrified of the ocean in real life and in ark I got on my raft once and just went sailing and I came across something huge, I started crying and rushed away.. never had a heart attack that bad in my life.
I'm new to ark, friend has shown me a lot of stuff on land but not anything about water he always goes alone. I tried couple time to go in ocean I've never came out alive lol. This guide makes me feel like I have a chance. I've used a sarco in small lakes and rivers pretty good but haven't worked up nerve to try ocean yet
I took my 130 baryonyx into the ocean to get pearls (my first time in deep ocean) got stunned by a eel thing and a bunch of mantas came up to me and one shot me and my tame died it was sad
Nice work ! I just got my Scuba Gear, so off I go. I like the bed on the raft idea and the storage boxes also. I don't have an underwater mount yet so just going solo for now to hopefully an easy cave down in the South East off Herbivore Island.
Great video! Couple things to add.. Always bring a chair with you, so you can place it to sit and regain stamina. And, if a Leed attacks your raft, throw a honey into the water, and it will deagro and swim far away.
Welp i have had rotten luck and everyone is an alpha so i get surprised on the first hit and then get my raft destroyed before i can throw the honey
@@t.e.a4357 Listen for the whale's gurgle just before he hits, sometimes you can evade.
Also go into "K" mode to look underwater to see if its clear.
Will have to listen for the gurgle thanks for the tip
Idk why but I never had problems with animals attacking my raft in this game ever
Thank you for the tip!! Beginner here lol🙋♀️

Plus no oxygen meter and what they can't stun they slow down.
I use basil and bunch of them on follow, nothing stops me in ocean.
@@Radical_Middle Basilo to keep the jellyfish away and Barys to stun the megalodons… why didn’t I think of this before
This was so helpful and thorough! I can't believe how small your channel is, this video should have so many more views.
Thank you so much bro, really means a lot! I'm glad its helped you out!
Literally the best guide I could find after an hour of searching, you’re just amazing. Thanks for the knowledge.
Thank you so much man, Really means a lot!! Hope it helped you out!
Cannot agree more , I’m waiting for the taming creatures vid so excited for it

Thanks a lot, Glad you're enjoying my content!
It's amazing how many big named ark youtubers don't cover thr ocean. This has been a great help for a noob ark player

I took my theraizosaurus under water lol. Killed a few alphas. Was funny
@@tusharbhudia9421 Do you mean Therizinosaurs aka Freddy Krueger Ducks? That can work as well, yes! did you use vegetable cakes?

amazing video guide! the way you make these videos short, quick, and informative is amazing! I can't wait to see what else you make in the future!

Criminally underrated channel.
This guide is super helpful because the water scares me. Thanks a lot
i remember traveling by raft witha friend seeing a mosasaur on the edge of a ocean cliff and I jumped off and tried punching it to death despite it being level 130
But they don’t come to the surface? They come about halfway
this was good enough for an immidiate sub, nice clear explanations.
I am terrified of the ocean in real life and in ark I got on my raft once and just went sailing and I came across something huge, I started crying and rushed away.. never had a heart attack that bad in my life.
Great job editing this video! It was an excellent guide of the ocean 🌊 loads of stuff in this I didn’t know! Cheers mate!
Thanks a lot man! Glad it’s helped you out!
This was some quality content, I hope you make it far.
Thanks a lot man!

Thank you soooo much for the info!!
Great guide! Really helped me out
Awesome video! I subscibed
Thanks a lot bro!
another great early game water dino if your on the correct map that is is the shadowmane it is just such an easy tame and very good in the water
This was a great guide. I just subbed to your channel. Thanks.
Thanks a lot man!
Plessies also have good attack range for the jelly fish
Are the leopleurodons a reference to the magical leopleurodons in charlie the unicorn?
Was searching for this comment lol
How do you only have 550 subs you deserve waaay more!!!
Thanks a lot man!
Not me watching this because a leed just attacked me and my friends raft
I wish that tanks acted like in subnautica, where once your out of water the tank regens, and you swap to backup tanks when you run out of oxygen
Baffled as to how you have less than a 1000 subs, great video.
Thanks a lot man!

great guide but i feel like you had a bit of a bias for the mosa over the tuso
I play primitive plus, any tips for underwater exploration for that? No scuba, only Lazarus chowder available.
what was the noise near the start???
Just subscribed.
".. double stay the f*** away" 🤣🤣🤣
I hate the ocean in anything even in real life it feels like your being sucked into an endless void
I am in a cycle of taming an icthy finding a new powerful tame dying to eels trying to tame it and repeat
I’ve got 2 sarco that spawned very close inland
Why are you using a sarco, I've been hearing and seeing that the Baryonyx is the best for the waters because of its crazy AoE spin atttck stun
Honorable dino mention: baryonyx
How is your ocean so clear even with fog off its so blurry under water i dont understand
Maybe unpopular opinion but the jellys either need a nerf or removal.
What level is scuba?
Does oxygen stat increase speed underwater or movement speed
Probably just underwater speed
My sarco died from and alpha tuso 😢
get yourself a megalodon army and nothing can harm you anymore.
I put Worcestershire sauce on my Greggs sausage roll
Ammonite: *cries in being too irrelevant for this guide*
Here is my tip: avoid the fking eels
To bad they got rid of spiked walls on Mosa platforms. Made the ocean a breeze to get through
How do you not have more subs than me? This is a fucking crime!
1 year later he has more subs than you
@@FreakFrederick rightfully so, should've happened sooner.
Uhuh Waha
5:5$ WTF IS THAT
You forgot about the alpha squids
Hahahahha
