    I make all kinds of realistic eyes. I use polymer clay and even a silicone and corn starch mixture but this is such a better solution for smaller eyes. The Crafsman always teaching me something to make my life a little easier.

    • @TheCrafsMan
      @TheCrafsMan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you so much! I bet some type of simple push-mold could work for getting the iris and pupil shapes in polymer clay. :D What I like about polymer clay is you can get some that have a nice translucence to them, which I feel would add more to the realism. :)

    • @gesarts3625
      @gesarts3625 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheCrafsMan that exactly the type of clay I use (translucent). Then for blood vessels I use alcohol inks then lightly wipe most away with a tiny brush tip covered in alcohol as it thins the red ink it also makes smaller vessel lines, but leaves a lighter pink surrounding area underneath adding some realism. I love making eyes. They're so much fun because there are so many different types. I make a ton of monsters so those are even more fun.

    I've been a fan for ages, some of his knowledge comes up in my random memory even tho I haven't seen one of his videos in years.
    The other day I was just remembering something of his regarding melting plastics... This person must surely work for The Industry

    Crafsman, you never fail to relax and amuse me. Your passion for tiny crafts is inspiring. Let me share a craft I uses to do as a kid all the time.
    Aluminum foil sculptures.
    I would go to the store and buy the large packets of aluminum foil. After comin back home I would draw a picture of something I wanted to make (mostly dinosaurs). Then I would take sheets of aluminum foil and try to create what I drew. Only thing I used was foil. Eventually I got good enough to make cool helmets for my siblings. Did a lot of freddys characters for them. They looked pretty good too.
    Its a fun craft if ya ever wanna try it
