I live by a metro track and i like how you can tell the time from the trains coming past.

I used to use one of those alcohol lamps with the chemistry set I had as a child. Yes, people used to let kids in play with stuff like that- safety hadn’t been invented yet. But my alcohol lamp didn’t have a blowtorch feature.

Pop sculpture is one of my favorite books! It really is the only book I've come across so far that really gives me a idea of how toy design is traditionally done. Another great video as always!

I made Scott's recipe for Toy wax a few years back. Its great. The most difficult part to me was acquiring all the necessary ingredients in smaller quantities. Still using the same batch today... Great Stuff and great Video as always!

Found your channel maybe 4-5 months ago and was hooked after the first episode and binged the whole vid list lol.
Shortly after I got into modeling clay then polymer clay and dabbling in small scale wooden cabin things most recently. Steady crafting is an essential attribute for steady successing 😉
Crasfman that’s not monster clay, that’s what they call: “Steady Puddy”. It ain’t silly puddy, it ain’t muddy puddy, for crafting it’s “Steady Puddy”.

I want to be better at Castilene, but it probably has the biggest learning curve out of all the sculpting mediums I have.
:) Still... it's what the pros use. So that says something, for sure. :)

for larger figures like 1/5 and above I still use an aluminum armature with Castilene. I find that as it cools, the outside sets before the inside does, this causes it to crack and break at thin parts like the knees. Castilene doesn't have a particularly good affinity for itself so once a piece snaps, it'll always be a week point. The manufacturer says to make an armature out of hard castilene and then add the medium and soft stuff to build your volume . . . . I find it better just to use the aluminum armature. You can still cut and articulate the figure just fine with the soft aluminum.
