2 of the best yt creators getting allong. Love to see it. Both of you have been huge inspirations in my creative life over the last few... years? Can that be right?!? It must be.
My entire life all I wanted to do was work with wood in some capacity whether it be my profession or just a hobby. Well, all I heard my whole life was "You're afraid of saws, so you'll never be able to do it" which is true, I am terrified of cutting fingers/hands off, but I also knew how much I wanted to do something. So I got over it, and started building things. I discovered an unrelenting love for making things out of wood, especially lathe-work. All it took was that initial push, and that was that. I discovered something I truly enjoy doing.
I don't know if you realise how much of an inspiration you are to so many people, both creatively and mentally. Your videos are like therapy and education all rolled into one. You should have been a teacher, the world needs more people like you. Keep on keeping on.
My favorite thing is when he trolls people with the “do you like Star Trek figures” holding up Star Wars figures. It makes me laugh every time and it’s not the first time he’s done it. I’m sure he likes knowing that it’s fun poking at someone’s obsession with things. If this is a character he’s doing and it’s all pretend I’m still in because these are some of the most calming videos to watch and there’s always something great to take away from them even if I’ll never do the craft he’s talking about.

@@TheCrafsMan As someone who’s written the official guide to Star Trek the animated series… I laugh every single time! Even though I occasionally make a living with Star Trek I think people need to not take everything quite so seriously!
I've never understood the animosity between "Trekkies" and those who like Star Wars. I like both myself and don't see why they can't coexist in someones mind. I mean.... Star Wars was along time ago in a galaxy far away and Star trek was in the future (although we're catching up. We've done already passed the point in time when Khan was supposed to have lived and been put on board "Botany bay") so it's not even like it has to be alternate universe stuff.
Crafsman: I'm a senior who often doesn't get started when I should because things might "hurt", so this video is just the shot in the arm I need to refer to when I'm tempted to stay in bed all day.. Thank you !!
I’m still young, but I’ve known enough elderly folk to know that things get a lot harder to start when your body works against you. I’m trying to get into the habit of starting things even when I’m scared NOW so I can keep doing it when I get older. I really admire older folk for doing all they do regardless of their bodies. I know you’re all still young inside, like me. And I believe in you!
I didn’t mind the whispering, it was very comforting, but your professional voice is great too! However you decide to run the channel I will still be here because you are an amazing human being. Have a great day, friend!
Agreed, the whispering in a way reminded me of Bob Ross' soft take on his presentations. He was a gentle soul much like how you are in these videos. Also I loved that explanation about the Crafsman persona. As someone who had creative people in my life no longer here, it was rather touching.
You got .99 cent burgers AND a faygo? That's the high life right there. When I grew up we got a .69 cent bag of egg noodles to split between three people. And water from the tap to drink. (Sometimes we saved the water used to boil the noodles cause it had some flavor in it) First time I ate anything from a fast food restaurant was after I got my first job/paycheck.
This made me mist up a bit, especially the part about those of us who've been in the valley having a better appreciation of the mountain top. Crafsman, you are pretty much a bodhisattva or something.

This video was just what I needed. I've been unmotivated to do anything since I lost my little best friend of 9 years. I'm in that valley right now but I'll get back to the mountain top.
So glad you won the fight! Keep that determination going! The world needs you! We're glad you're with the rest of us Crafsman fans. Chillin and gettin our craft on!

And unlike other people, you gonna be the one that's gon to appreciate that mountain because you been down here in that valley." I think I needed to hear this. Thank you for all you do.
I REALLY needed this video Mr. Crafsman. My GF of 2.5 years broke up with me because she lost "the spark" and lost feelings for me. And listening to you fight sad/depressing things and to keep moving forward. It just makes me feel like there might be a light at the end of what I'm feeling. Thank you so much!❤
Chris, I'm sorry to hear that. To hear that this little video is of some help to you is a major (major!) deal to me. So I want to thank YOU for taking time despite your disheartening situation to be an encouragement to someone else today. Wishing you all the best, my friend.
Hey Chris, just wanted to say that it's worth fighting through. Been there before and there absolutely is a better side and better days coming your way. Hang in there and know that you are loved and supported
You've become my personal therapist and it's working! I've been crafting like crazy since I found your channel. It had been almost 2 years of me being uninspired/motivated. Thank you!
You play with your toys like you are a child, while giving us the wisdom of an ancient sage. I love this channel!! You reminded me today, that you can't wait till everything is perfect to get started. Just do it! Thank you Crafsman😊🐝❤
Thank you, I needed the parted about not waiting to feel better before starting. I have watched your work through some tough times and they helped me get to sleep when I was full of worry, regret & loneliness. Things are a lot better now but I still enjoy the craftsmanship and effort you put in production. Thank you.
I like it when you whisper, no matter what the others say. Its so relaxing! Dont worry about your voice being raspy or whispery (pretty sure I just invnted that word), we all appreciate it anyways, because we can learn abput interesting things like action figures and relax at the same time!
There's that quote attributed to Thomas Edison, "Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." If you don't try to do something (and dedicate yourself to it's practice), you never get to see what might come from it.
You probably hear this all the time but Crafsman, you are so much more than just an instructional channel. Even when you aren't you dropping your nuggets of wisdom your mere presence is therapeutic
Still waiting on the 2 hour video stream of the view from craftsman's workshop on a rainy day. Or a sunny day with the birds around. There's a whole crafsman Spotify album of ambient music/sounds to fall asleep to, just waiting to be recorded.
Hi Crafsman, you probably won't see this but I love the work you do. I am in high school getting ready to go to college and you always remind me to stay young at heart and make things. You always inspire me to make new things and try new things. I do not have all the tools you do but I love watching your videos and thinking of ways I can do similar things. Keep up the great work crafsman!
CrafsMan, thank you for sharing your words of wisdom and encouragement. You have no idea, but your words about motivation and creativity were exactly what I needed to hear right now. You're a gift to this world sir and I hope you know you make so many lives better just by being you and putting yourself out there. Thank you!💜
Thank you, Crafsman, Crafsmama, and Crafson! You show us that the world isn't necessarily as complicated as we make it. Sound advice, good cooking, and leaning into it and finding our own uniqueness can really improve our world. :) Lookin forward to that rainy day when you answer more questions. :)
I recently came across your channel. After watching a couple of your videos I had to subscribe. Awesome content. After watching this video I have to comment on the gloves. You do you. If your hands bother someone because they are worn from years of work and use, thats their problem not yourse. Thats character, shows character. Your content is what makes your channel, not the condition of your hands. Keep that creativity flowing.
I really appreciate what you have to say about motivation. I live with depression, and while I'm not sad that much anymore, I still really struggle with motivation to do not only the chores in my day to day life, but also the fun or creative things I enjoyed. I've been stuck working on a model kit for weeks because I stopped partway through and never felt like starting up again, so it gathered dust and took over my coffee table for ages. Just today I went back to it so I could reclaim my living room, and even though it started off feeling like a chore, I really felt good once I got back into the swing of things. It's easy to forget how just getting started can really help.
Its kind of awesome the feel of the show kinda happened through accident, and not planned. This has ended up my favorite youtube channel. I always look forward to the next episode. Thank you.
Two things: 1. You are, without a doubt, one of the most interesting people on youtube. - and 2. The wisdom you hand out at 15:20 ( that Crafsmama told you ) is absolutely something I wish every single person on the planet could understand. Rock on, Crafsman. Rock on.
Crafsman, I have been around since around 4 or 5k subs. I want to thank you for doing this for so long and always making days brighter for all of us. Every time I see Tim, my little tree stump figure you made, I think back to years ago finding your channel through a video on aging wood with vinegar, I believe. Anyway, thank you again man, you’re a big part of a lot of peoples lives.
Humanity and the world needs more special characters like the Crafsman. Aren’t enough people who are unique anymore, in a world with trends and such, so it’s nice seeing such a unique soul who is free in being themselves, as well as helping others and entertaining them. God bless you 🙏
I’m a patreon patron, and at this point I’d pay Crafsman to just exist and have a nice day and make some videos when he’s ready. Edit: omg, thank crafsmama for sharing her recipe! We’re so lucky!
Today was the first time my name showed up as one of your supporters! It's an honor, Crafsman. Thank you for all you do! (PS - I'm making those biscuits for my family Sunday.)
Crafsman, your timing and pearls of wisdom could not have been better timed! I have a task that I am loathe to take on, and I have been deep in the valley staring up at that mountain. But now I am focusing on what happens when I reach the top, and how it will benefit me and my family. Thank you for taking the time and the introspection to create this lovely primer on overcoming personal obstacles. Keep Steady Craftin’ Brother.
To me, finding a purpose in life is a big part of being happy or even just shy of feeling content. Also as a person that tries to be creative I try to remember the following quote. "Comparison is the thief of joy" while it is difficult at times I make an effort to never compare my work to others I only compare my work to my own previous work. This is all in the hopes that I am growing and getting better at my craft. There are times when I fail to do this but I try to always keep that quote in mind. As always thank you for sharing.
Honestly this video right here TheCrafsMan is very helpful for myself. Sometimes creating content you feel very alone and unsure of yourself, I have scrapped so many videos thinking is it worth it, will people like it?. So many things going on in the head of a creator before hitting upload.

We're glad you're with the rest of us Crafsman fans. Chillin and gettin our craft on!
I'm glad you are here to enjoy this wonderful man. One day at a time. Wishing you the best.
This is exactly what I needed 👍 -thanks Crafsman
Anyone else do their best crafsman voice while out shopping for crafting supplies, or am I the only one?
indeed... I like to say "Well, hello" in Crafspeak to the cashier and see if they are in the know... if not, they are before I leave
Not at all! His voice even inspired some VO work I've done recently. It just sounds so soothing 😊
Meee
100% do this
When I'm trying to figure something out I say "come on Crafsman!... I don't know..."
Crafsman, you're like the rain: I could listen to you all day long.
"People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily."
- Zig Ziglar
"and to share the love that's been shared with me with you all" - wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone thought this way?
"And so my advice is to remind you that while you down here in the valley to go on ahead and look foward to that mountain cause you know it's coming. And unlike other people, you gonna be the one that's gon to appreciate that mountain because you been down here in that valley."
I think I needed to hear this. Thank you for all you do.
Maaaaan. I was all relaxed and chillin. And he came at us with “do you all like Star Trek?” And I died laughing.
;) Thank you for watching!
@@creativestudios3d I may not be much help. But I hope you (we) can take the steps to get better. My inbox is always open
@@TheCrafsMan THANK YOU! I hope one day I can be as kind as you and meet a girl as sweet as Crafsmama.
@@natemills6220 Thank you so much man. It's so nice that even someone who I don't even know can be supportive, even just a comment.
You've become my personal therapist and it's working! I've been crafting like crazy since I found your channel. It had been almost 2 years of me being uninspired/motivated. Thank you!
My friend, words can't articulate just how much this comment means to me. Thank you so much.
This is SO motivating to me. Wow.
I got really into that scene with the parents and kid.
Just wanted to say, your videos are a ray of sunshine. Keep being wonderful.
Im leaning into it man, and having a great time
That's what I'm talkin about! :D Glad to hear this.
Thank you for the words of encouragement , You amazing . keep on steady crafing........ :)
No matter how I'm feeling you always have a way of making my day better. You give me the motivation to push in a positive direction. Thank you.
Best channel on TH-cam. I can't wait to buy my first home so I can build a workshop and start crafting. Thank you for everything you do Crafsman.
Thanks Crafsman. That story about motivation was very motivational.
Very glad to hear it!
You play with your toys like you are a child, while giving us the wisdom of an ancient sage. I love this channel!!
You reminded me today, that you can't wait till everything is perfect to get started. Just do it!
Thank you Crafsman😊🐝❤
Yes!!!

Secret of NIHM is still a banger after all these years.
Thank you, I needed the parted about not waiting to feel better before starting.
I have watched your work through some tough times and they helped me get to sleep when I was full of worry, regret & loneliness. Things are a lot better now but I still enjoy the craftsmanship and effort you put in production. Thank you.
Thanks for including clips of the original video! The gloved hands and video that hooked me.
I LIKE THAT! :D Thank you!
Opportunity is disguised as a problem or a hassle often.
I am so glad I stumbled upon your page today! 🙌😭
You, Sir, are a breath of fresh air to fellow crafters, thank you. Sweet tea and cool breeze dreams to you sir.
Craftsman from NC.
It was so nice to see clips of those early videos! I remember watching them!
Thank you to whoever asked the sincere questions. Thank you Crafman for sharing your knowledge and life experiences.
There is a strange beauty to your videos that makes me incredibly nostalgic. Thank you for doing what you do.
I love your videos, Thank you CrafsMan!
Craftsman don’t ever change. You are the coolest cat that I (don’t) know! Keep on steady craftin, friend.
Thanks for being you and sharing yourself with us.
I love when crafsman subtly flexes his friendship with Pendleton Ward
It's so perfect
Oh they’re friends? Didnt get that from the video but that’s cool
I love y'all, CrafsMan. I hope you and the rest of the CrafsFamily are doing good down there over your way.
CrafsMan, you the best. I have most of my housemates watching you.
Jason, I appreciate that so much!
You are a much appreciated, iconic TH-camr.
This was the best TED Talk I have ever seen. I found this highly motivating. Thank you, Crafsman!
One of my all-time favorite channels on the TH-cams! ♥
Its kind of awesome the feel of the show kinda happened through accident, and not planned. This has ended up my favorite youtube channel. I always look forward to the next episode. Thank you.
You are a joy and a national treasure, Crafsman. I appreciate you. ❤️
I'm so pleased to be a patron, thank you for this video. I needed this.
Your videos are like medicine for the rest of the internet, this one is especially lovely
thankyou you make an awful lot of sense. I'm in lockdown here in the uk so its not great on your own. You inspire a lot of people
Two things: 1. You are, without a doubt, one of the most interesting people on youtube. - and 2. The wisdom you hand out at 15:20 ( that Crafsmama told you ) is absolutely something I wish every single person on the planet could understand. Rock on, Crafsman. Rock on.
i am watching this with a rainy monday. everything is good in the world.
The world needs more Crafsman. Keep bringing the joy.
Man I needed this video, needed a break from work for awhile
Crafsman, I have been around since around 4 or 5k subs. I want to thank you for doing this for so long and always making days brighter for all of us. Every time I see Tim, my little tree stump figure you made, I think back to years ago finding your channel through a video on aging wood with vinegar, I believe. Anyway, thank you again man, you’re a big part of a lot of peoples lives.
Crafsman, you are a wise sage. The tenets you shared are sound ones to embrace and implement into our lives. Many thanks and peace to you and yours.
Humanity and the world needs more special characters like the Crafsman. Aren’t enough people who are unique anymore, in a world with trends and such, so it’s nice seeing such a unique soul who is free in being themselves, as well as helping others and entertaining them. God bless you 🙏
0:25 This is better advice than I've gotten from my therapist, I swear.
I am so happy that you exist. Thank you
I’m a patreon patron, and at this point I’d pay Crafsman to just exist and have a nice day and make some videos when he’s ready.
Edit: omg, thank crafsmama for sharing her recipe! We’re so lucky!
Today was the first time my name showed up as one of your supporters! It's an honor, Crafsman. Thank you for all you do!
(PS - I'm making those biscuits for my family Sunday.)
I just love your humor and your whole persona 💜
Crafsman, your timing and pearls of wisdom could not have been better timed! I have a task that I am loathe to take on, and I have been deep in the valley staring up at that mountain. But now I am focusing on what happens when I reach the top, and how it will benefit me and my family. Thank you for taking the time and the introspection to create this lovely primer on overcoming personal obstacles. Keep Steady Craftin’ Brother.
I love you, CrafsMan. Keep on craftin'.
I actually found your channel because of the whispering voice - it was on a subreddit about unintentional ASMR!
Whenever my students start talking TH-cam, I tell them Crafsman is my favorite channel.
This is the most hilariously inspiring video I’ve ever seen! Thanks CrafsMan!!👍
I've rewatched this video, it's so nice.
Always a joy to watch one of your vid-e-os!
I like Crafs at Night voice. Thank you for your work!
Honestly this video right here TheCrafsMan is very helpful for myself. Sometimes creating content you feel very alone and unsure of yourself, I have scrapped so many videos thinking is it worth it, will people like it?. So many things going on in the head of a creator before hitting upload.
The energy that comes out of your videos are like no other on TH-cam. Brilliant!
