Hello everyone! As said in the video, this is my first attempt at a scripted video and I do know that there is at least one error that slipped past me while editing, so I apologize for that! I made this entire thing very hastily as there was a major thunderstorm in my area and I had to work on it in between taking shelter whenever the sirens went off :/ I will make more videos like this in the future, and they’ll have more work put into them, so the quality will only go up from here hopefully!
After watching, I genuinely enjoy the points and facts you bring up and I feel like the Movie could of been worked on more with Luigi, But all and all, The film is still a great step in the right direction.
Now personally I can completely understand the film's flaws and even so, They still knocked it out of the park; Mario and Luigi's Dynamic at the beginning and ending, Luigi standing up to his fears and protecting his brother, Mario's overwhelming concern for Luigi, The fact Peach feels like a real ruler instead of "Mario! Help me!", her concern for the toads. Bowser actually showing his care for his kingdom and beloved army, the wedding being hilarious and great reference to Odyssey. DK wanting to impress his father as a king since he was Orginal DK, All of this film was done with love and understanding of the mainline cast. Even Toad gets to shine with his more unique characteristics instead of being.... "Bup." But regardless, I believe they should of focused a bit more on Luigi, Maybe him trying to escape with the Penguins would be interesting as the Luma tried to he morbid and nearly getting them caught before them being threatened to be killed at the wedding would of been nice. But regardless, The Super Mario Bros Movie for 2023 was definitely a success and bigger opportunity for Nintendo down the road.
I did come off as very critical but I do believe this was because I failed to hype responsibly lol. I watched all the trailers multiple times so overall I ended up having a fairly spoiled experience aside from the wedding/final fight. If I had to give the movie an ACTUAL letter grade it’d probably be around an 8/10, which for me is great
@@nudgeandprod Honestly, I can respect that, Even if alot was shown off in the trailers, This was Nintendo's first go at a real movie and wanted to get everyone on board with Movie. And even if I knew a hand full of scenes, the the movie still suprised me of what lead to that scene and what happened after like, Take the scene with Luigi in the dark world. The Dry Bones jumpscare and the end with the shy guys make the the trailer chase scene so much better, even if we knew it was gonna happen. But considering we need to give a letter grade possibly, I would personally give this film a 9/10. For a first go with Nintendo this was definitely a great start. If more Nintendo films come out, maybe it's best to return and reevaluate the score with other works coming in the later years. But all and all great review man, I think you did a wonderful job and hope to see more soon, I believe your content is worth a subscription. 👍
With Bowser it’s actually the opposite of what you said. In the games, Bowser actually genuinely cares about his kingdom and his people. However in this movie, he’s a cruel leader who doesn’t give a damn about his people probably to emphasize more on his villainy.
I played Mario 3d land as a wee little boy on the new 3ds and all the references to all the older ips from the nes were really nice and added some nostalgia to probably a lot of older fans of the series, so I’d like to say, this movie was amazing to watch.
know we talked yesterday but this is basically my opinion of the movie too. Was really fun, had me grinning at multiple points, beginning and ending are definitely the strongest parts! ...Not much substance and moves waaaay too fast, not allowing itself to breathe, ultimately having a plot that feels unfocused. But as a Mario fan, I still think it was well worth the watch.
@@nudgeandprod I think a fun way to handle that video would be to put each game on a tier list at the end of each game's review segment. Like after you review Sonic 1, you put it somewhere on the tier list and go right into reviewing Sonic 2
An actual rating would be around a 7.5/10, maybe an 8. I’m real bad with number scores so I just compared the movie experience to which game it felt the most like to me enjoyment wise

This is how I feel about the Mario Movie. Its a really pretty and well animated toy commercial.
i love this more casual video, as im used to the streams
also maybe do short lil' reviews for the streams you did on sonic?
The sonic series as a whole is getting a review once frontiers is highlighted!

What would a NSMBWii out of 10 be in number form?

So how do you compare this movie to the sonic movies?
Would you believe I have yet to see the sonic movie 💀
@@nudgeandprod Really.
I just got done with the games give me some time😭😭
@@carterh914 He only ever saw the end bits of Sonic 2 back when he worked at a movie theater I think
@@nudgeandprod did i upset you at all?
How would you say it compares to the first Sonic movie?
I still have yet to see it 😭
