Wow guys can you believe it? Nudge and Prod happened in 2024 and now it'll happen in 2025!!!

Sora has assumed many roles throughout the Kingdom Hearts series from, Unlikely Hero, to Knight in Shining Armor, to Fool, but in Kingdom Hearts 3 Sora assumes his most important role, as a Fairy Tale Guardian.This can first be seen in Kingdom Of Corona where Sora Guides Rapunzel throughout her journey and encourages here to see the beauty of the outside world. The main point of the world was to explore how Sora’s role allows him to spread joy to others. Monstropolis further elaborates on Sora as a Fairy Tale Guardian by exploring how his role makes him a protector of children. The goal of Monstropolis is to protect Boo and get her back home. Fighting the Unversed, putting out the fires, overcoming Randall’s challenges, and traversing the Door Vault, it’s all done for Boo’s sake. However it is not just her physical body that the team strives to protect her heart as well. Throughout the World a special meter known as Laugh Power appears. Whenever this meter appears the mission statement changes from just fighting the unversed and heartless to keeping Boo happy. You must pull out all the stops and defeat the monsters as flashily as possible without letting yourself or Sully get hurt. This is all done for the sake of keeping Boo Happy. Her laughter must be preserved in the face of darkness, not just because it serves as an in-universe power source but because a child should be laughing. No child should ever go through such terror like this, their childhood should never be sullied by the greed of selfish adults. So Sora fights to keep Boo smiling, to keep the memories of terror far away from her heart and to instead give her memories of laughter. Even outside of the meter the ideal of preserving Children’s laughter is ever present in the World’s story. Several times throughout the Journey the Gang takes pit stops to cheer Boo up such as when Mike and Sully cover themselves in paint to make Boo laugh or when Sora puts on his iconic silly face. And interestingly enough both of these events have the characters calling back their past. During Mike and Sully’s College years they were humiliated by a group of bullies who covered them in colorful paint. This was one of their lowest moments as their dignity was stripped from them for the sake of a petty joke. And Yet in this moment they reclaim that humiliating memory and use it as a force of good. Willingly covering themselves in pink and blue paint in order to make Boo Smile. The sting of the painful memory now replaced with the child’s joyous laughter. As for Sora’s goofy face this moment calls back to Sora’s first meeting with Donald and Goofy in KH1. When they first meet Sora’s soul was playing a symphony of sadness. The loss of his home and friends dragged his heart down, threatening to drown him in darkness. And so to combat this Donald and Goofy shared their ideals with Sora, telling him that if he wants to come with he has to wear a happy and silly face, explaining that their ship runs on happy faces. And while out of context this may seem harsh, it’s far more than the two just telling Sora to buck up and smile. As disney characters and fairy tale heroes it is Donalds and Goofy’s mission is to not only help others but to make them happy. They can not waste time worrying when people need them, they must traverse the Ocean Between smiling all the way so that others may smile in turn. Sora shows his understanding and acceptance of this ideal by giving his own Goofy smile in turn, Truly becoming a Disney character and fairy tale hero. So when Sora brings this smile back in KH3 we know he is putting on a Brave face for Boo, inspiring her to be courageous and smile in turn, becoming for her what Doanld and Goofy were for him in KH1. If Sora and Sully are Fairy Tale Guardians Than Randall and Vanitas are Childhood Nightmares. Randal is a selfish egomaniac terrifying children and preying on the weak simply to validate himself. He rejects the truth that Laughter is more powerful than screams in order to justify his self-serving desire of returning to the old way. He doesn’t care for the safety of his world nor the well being of the children. To him everyone else only exists to stroke his ego. And so he warps Monsters Incorporated into a twisted reflection of its past. A death trap filled with mindless monsters that never think for themselves as they preying upon those that are different from them and machinery that destroys rather creates. Born from sinful pride Randall’s path of fear only serves to reveal the weakness of both his ideology and his true self. The Factory falls apart under Randall’s control. With the Unversed and Heartless free to run wild as they burn down the metaphorical Kingdom Randall lusts for all while the screams Randall gathered fail to power anything of value. Randall himself is shown to be nothing more than a parasite. He never once fights Sora, Donald, Goofy, Sully, and Mike himself, instead choosing to hide in the shadows while letting the Unversed and Heartless do all the fighting for him as he pathetically taunts the heroes or complains when they fail to get the job done. Randall can do nothing for himself because he is fundamentally a coward who prays on the weak in order to feel like a big man. And in the end Randal is rejected by the world itself as not only does the authority of the world in the form of the CDA Agents oppose him but he is permanently banished from the monster world thanks to Sora’s keyblade, a weapon born from a literal age of fairy tales. For parasites parading as Nightmares have no right to stop children from laughing. While Randal was just a weakling parading as a creature of fear, Vanitas is a true walking nightmare. A horror born from the abyss itself, Vanitas seeks only to spread terror and despair. Using Randall’s ego and the Unversed spawned from his maelstrom of hatred Vanitas spreads terror to not just the world of monsters but the countless dreams of all children, he torments them, scarring their very hearts for no reason other than to consume their very screams. Every tragedy in the world is born from his twisted machinations, the torment of the children, the destruction of the factory, and the creation of the Lump of Horror. This is what Nightmares do, they spread misery everywhere they go, feeding off the fears of children to take shape, just like how Vanitas needs the negative emotions of others to take a form. And that is exactly why Vanitas losses at the end of the world. He can only exist through the pain of others whereas Fairy Tale Guardians like Mike and Sully exist for the sake of others. They do not rely on the children for strength but instead are the ones who give children the strength to move forward. And as such Vanitas is powerless against Sully. Even with his body fully restored Vanitas is incapable of fighting back against Sully who effortlessly banishes him from Monsters Incorporated using the Very doors Vanitas abused. In Contrast to Vanitas and Randall who are punished for their acts of terror against the young, Sora and Sully are rewarded. By protecting both Boo’s innocence they are able to use her laughter to save both their world and themselves. Through the Laugh Power meter they are able to destroy Armies of Heartless and Unversed or restore power to the falling machinery, more importantly near the end of the journey Sora is rewarded with the powerful accessory of the Laugh Pin. A one of the kind item that grants the miraculous ability MP walker which restores MP with every step taken. Ultimately the accessory represents both the courage Sora gave Boo through his goofy face and the power Boo’s laughter gave to Sora. In the end while a Fairy tale Guardian’s job is to protect children they can’t keep them safe forever. As Seen by the Unversed malice will always find a way to reach the children and their hearts. Pain is an inevitability of life and while what Randall said about fear remaining sticking with a child is true that is not the end all be all. Hope though weak is eternal and can blossom in any heart is nurtured by Joy. While Mike and Sully can not erase the pain burdened upon them by Vanitas they are more than capable of healing the wounds by continuing to make them laugh every night. For a fairy tale guardian never gives up on the children. They will always be the protector of the light of children, Just like how Sora will continue to protect all hearts in his war against Xehanort.

Here's my Legend of Zelda timeline theory. Legends are passed down from one generation to the next, right? And time often has a way of changing things. Like just one missed word here, another there. A different sequence of events. My theory is that all the games are just a retelling of the Legend Of Zelda over and over again. But since so much time has passed, no one really knows the TRUE Legend of The Legend Of Zelda, no one knows how Hyrule actually came to be, no one actually knows how the Goddesses came to be, or the Triforce, or how Ganondorf, Zelda and Link came to be and why they're trapped in an neverending battle. No one knows, so all the Legend of Zelda games we have are just Hyruleun Historians trying to make sense of a Legend that's been passed down for decades upon decades. And since Botw and Totk are so far into the future that it's technically the LAST Legend of Zelda in the timeline -not game wise, but just timeline wise- I believe that since Ganon swallowed his secret stone, it broke Demise's curse. Because Ganon truly lost himself by becoming a Dragon and then was killed, NOT SEALED AWAY, like the other times he has been beaten. One could argue Twilight Princess Ganon was killed as well. But the difference is- that while yes, he was killed, he was still Ganon. He didn't lose himself. So the curse continued. And in any other games where he died, he still was Ganon so Demise's Curse continued over. But since Ganon lost himself at the end and then died, I believe that Zelda and Link are finally freed from the curse at the end of TOTK. And that any more games we get after this one, is just Hyrule trying to make sense of what is/was the true Legend of Zelda, and how it all began, played out and ended. Just like how we try to figure out the Zelda Timeline. Which I don't think we are ever supposed to. I think the timeline is just the same Legend told through different games. And the timeline split is nothing more than discrepancies and speculation on the True Legend. What the True Legend was, we probably will never know. But we can all agree that it truly is the Legend of all Legends.

If Twilight town’s main purpose in Kingdom Hearts 3 was to explore the intrinsic melancholy of Sora’s journey then the purpose of The Kingdom Of Corona would be to explore the joy of Sora’s journey and how he shares it with others. The Kingdom of Corona focuses primarily on The Halfpint Trio helping Rapunzel live out her dream of seeing the floating lanterns as they act as her bodyguards. However Sora does far more than just protect Rapunzel on her quest. He acts as her friend and fairy tale guardian encouraging her to stop and smell the roses, to feel the joy of the world outside her. Heavy parallels are drawn between Sora and Rapunzel with him remarking that he felt the same uncertainty and wonder as her when he first left his Islands. Both Sora and Rapunzel dreamed of seeing the outside world. And while Sora’s dream was tainted by the forces of Darkness he vows to make Rapunzel’s dream come true, fulfilling the same role as Doanld and Goofy did for him in his first adventure. He pushes Rapunzel not to run away from the darkness of the outside world but instead to face it head on, fighting alongside her against the heartless and teaching her to take her power into her own hands through the team attack Tangled Twist. Most importantly Sora encourages Rapunzel to slow down and truly experience the wonders around her. Throughout the team’s journey to the Kingdom there are several different Side quests that pop up. You play with Rapunzel in the water, blow the dandelion, watch a rainbow, save some adorable bunnies, and meet a new kind of bird. All of these quests, of course, are not necessary for the overall goal of seeing the lanterns, however that doesn't make them any less important. These detours are what brings joy to her fairy tale story. The game even encourages the Player themselves to slow down and enjoy the level like Sora and Rapunzel. The world is littered with hidden chests and lucky emblems for them to find. The Player can go back to Rapunzel's Tower to find a chest with the rare Armor piece, Mask Rosette, which serves as a great boon for upcoming boss fights against Grim Guardians. Or they can explore the docks of the Kingdom before joining in the festival inorder to find the rare cuisine Sea Bass en Papillote+ which sports amazing stat buffs. Most importantly however, if the Player chooses to do all four of Rapunzel's side quests they are rewarded with the rare and one of the kind accessory Forest Clasp. An accessory that can only be obtained if the player manages to complete all of Rapunzel’s side quests before bringing her to the Kingdom as the item itself is ultimately symbolic of the World's philosophy, “To stop and smell the roses”. Shown best through the ability HP Walker which restores HP with every step. In Contrast to Sora, Marluxia, and by proxy The True Organization XIII, acts as a force of stagnation and ignorance. They do not seek to understand the people of this world nor do they wish to enjoy its simple beauty. Instead Marluxia only focuses on his mission and how he can use the world to fit the Organization's Goals. He makes no effort to form connections, only using Mother Gothel as a pawn for his machinations and then discarding her once he can no longer use her. He never once ventures out to experience what this fairy tale kingdom has to offer, never joining the festival nor taking the time to watch the floating lanterns. No instead Marluxia stays in the shadows, incurious of what lies beyond him. And when he does interact with the world it is to impose his will upon it and destroy the joy of others. Marluxia wishes to return Rapunzel to her tower, to destroy her connections to the outside world and leave her a prisoner of Gothel’s greed. He does not care about what she wants, does not respect the love and happiness she found with Flynn, nor acknowledge her growth and autonomy as a person. Marluxia’s goal is to undo all the good Sora has done for Rapunzel in order to return her to what she once was, an infantilized and objectified child to be used by those that have kept her captive. In order words Marluxia wishes to transform Rapunzel into another Namine. But Marluxia fails. Rapunzel will not become another bird in a cage. The happines and love Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Eugeune Gave her is too strong to be broken, and Rapunzel's heart shows her the truth of her real family forever breaking the poisonous influence Mother Gothel had over her. Marluxia did not respect The Kingdom of Corona nor its people. He made no effort to appreciate it. So in the end the word thoroughly rejected him and his influence. Shown best as the heartless he creates from Gothel’s ugly heart, the ultimate manifestation of his and Xehanort’s will on the world, is destroyed By Sora, the one who earned the world love and trust by simply stopping to take a breather and pay his respect to those around him. Ultimately all journey’s must come to an end and as the gang finally reaches the Kingdom Rapunzel leaves the party of good and returns all her items back to Sora. Rapunzel's absence is felt by both Sora and the Player as not only is he no longer in the party during revists to the world but her team attack Tangled Twist is permanently lost. So that begs the question, why does Sora care so much about spreading joy to those he shares his adventures with if they are inevitably going to leave him? And the answer is simple, it is exactly because the good times are going to end that they must enjoy their time together while it lasts. Sora knew that his time spent with every new friend is Finite. That eventually he will have to say goodbye. Even Donald and Goofy will eventually leave him once they reach their journey's end. So instead of wallowing in self pity he chooses to celebrate his time together with others as best he can, forming wonderful memories with all those he meets so that when he has to say goodbye, the happy times they spent together will remain in their hearts. And we see this through Rapunzel as her final moments of Joy with Sora remain etched in her heart through the mini game, Festival Dance, which she continues to play even when Sora is gone.

Twilight Town is a very interesting world when you compare it to the rest of the worlds in KH3. Instead of being a sprawling fantasy world Twilight Town is a small town filled to the brim with the locals and traditions. You see the children playing through their final days of summer, families visiting the new bistro, and the whole community coming together for Movie night. And this simplicity is all by design, Twilight Town’s main purpose in KH3 is to reexamine what Sora is fighting for and the melancholy that is intrinsic to said journey. Sora first travels to Twilight Town in KH3 with the purpose of Finding a way to save Roxas with the rest of the world empathizing why this is So important. When Sora first enters the world he is flooded with a sense of nostalgia, feeling as if it’s been forever since he has visited this world despite him only being gone for a week or two. This is because Sora is feeling what Roxas feels, his love and longing for Twilight Town, the only world he considers his true home. And Sora is all too familiar with this feeling as he too was once taken away from his home, making Roxas a mirror of Sora’s past. And this is why Sora is so personally driven to save Roxas, because for him it is the same as saving a long lost brother. Afterwards Sora is reunited with Hayner, Pence, and Olette. Upon hearing Roxas’s story and seeing the photo of him with their data doublegangers They are driven to help Save Roxas. But why is that? Why does the Twilight Town Trio wish to save someone they only meet once? Well that simple, in Kingdom hearts connections exist beyond just one version of a person. As shown by Rinzler in Dream Drop Distance Bonds of friendship are so powerful that they not only transcend worlds but time and space. Sora had never met the original version of Tron as the one Sora befriended was a copy, and Rinzler himself isn’t even the original version of Tron, just a dream copy made by the sleeping world. And yet Sora still felt a connection to Rinzler, still saw him as a friend, and so did Rinzler in turn as he gave his life to save Sora’s. The same thing happens with both the real and data versions of Twilight Town. To Roxas the days spent in the Data Twilight Town was the best time of his life. For the first time ever Roxas got to act like a real kid, play with his friends without worry, and enjoy a summer vacation. Though his life there might have been fake his feelings weren't. The friendship he felt with the data copies of Haeyner, Pence, and Olette was as real as any other connection, allowing those feelings to transcend the data world and into the real world. Roxas is for more than just Sora’s Nobody, he is his own person who not only has bonds of his own but a place in this world. Sora’s need to save Roxas is perhaps the most important part of Sora’s motivation in Kingdom Hearts 3 as it exemplifies why Sora fights. Sora is a hero but not in the traditional way of being a great warrior who takes down a giant monster or archives something extraordinary. No Sora is a hero in that he is someone who sees the value in all hearts and constantly fights to save them. Sora does not give up on people, he does not accept the tragic fates of others, nor does he believe people are beyond saving. To him every heart has a light that will never go out and as long as that light still shines Sora will fight for them. This is why Twilight Town’s story is built around empathizing the importance of saving Roxas, because saving people like Roxas are the entire Reason Sora fights. It’s why when confronted by Xemnas and Ansem Sora whole heartedly rejects the idea that Saving Roxas is an act of darkness Though Roxas isn’t the only reason Sora fights the forces of Darkness. Through Kh3’s depiction of Twilight Town heavy focus is placed on the people and their simple joy. The world is covered head to toe with als sorts of different people just living their lives. You see children playing through the streets, adults gossiping about the latest trends, people enjoying a nice cold sea salt ice cream in the summer heat, families eating at the Bistro, or the entire community coming together to watch movies. Even the gameplay mechanics feed into this sense of community. Twilight town is designed to be a place for you to come back to after every visit and just enjoy some downtime. It's where you go to cook with a little chef, synthesize items with the Moogles, and mail in your prize postcards. It’s also the world that introduces you to the lucky emblems and Classic Kingdom, the only parts of Sora’s journey that are not entangled in the conflict between Light and Darkness. Twilight Town is a place of peace for Sora, Donald and Goofy, The embodiment of community. These carefree summer days and simple bonds are what Sora fights for, and when they heartless attacks it makes it all the more apparent why Sora can not refuse Xehanort’s call to action. Sora’s return to Twilight Town in Kingdom Hearts 3 is marked by an attack of The Demon Tide. One of the most powerful of Heartless. This monster represents the true horrors that lie within the darkness. A faceless hivemind whose body consists of nothing more than tangled legs that scambel around in both pain and pleasure. More soulless than any other heartless The Demon Tide seeks destruction alone, like an avatar of gluttony it consumes not just hearts but all it sees. And as soon as it lays its ghastly tendrils upon the world Twilight Town goes from peaceful suburbs to a battlefield, where the people have vanished and their culture is erased. When the heartless appear, Twilight Town is reduced nothing more than a corpse that is only spared from its fate by Sora’s efforts. Though it is only a temporary victory. The Demon Tide was not vanquished and can always return as long as those that beckon the darkness continue to impose their heart on others. Sora soon learns what brought The Demon Tide to this world when he comes face to face with two old enemies. It Was Xemnas and Ansem’s mere presence in the world that drew the Demon Tide to it. Xehanort’s return through off the balance between light and darkness, and as he other selves travel between worlds they bring the heartless with them. No world is safe as long as Xehanort continues to spread his heart like plague. As The King of Heartless and the king Nobodies stand before him Sora is faced with a terrible truth, he can not escape his own destiny. Sora must face the 13 seekers of Darkness. If not they will continue to endanger worlds and strip the people of their smiles. Sora is a hero because he is always fighting for the sake of others. Whether it be for those that share his heart with or strangers he’s just meant. Sora will continue to travel, continue to fight, and continue to risk his life for the sake of others' smiles. Just like when he does tricks on the barrels to make the people of Twilight Town laugh, Sora accepts his cruel fate for the sake of protecting the joy of others. Even if that means he can never truly partake in that happiness himself.

16:29 So from what I understand, the save data is stored in the PNG’s metadata. Metadata for those who don’t know is essentially “data about data”. It stores stuff like the date of the file’s creation, the size and type of the file, who created it and where, etc. So the actual png doesn’t store any save data, but the png’s metadata does. Why they did this I have no idea. The best guess I found was maybe they wanted to make altering the save data harder than if it was stored in a different file format. Nonetheless it’s very funny and very on brand for this series to have such an odd way of storing save data

Ever since finishing Kingdom Hearts 2 Nomura has been insistent on including Toy story in Kingdom hearts 3 even going as far as to say in an interview with Jen Simpkins from GameRader’s Edge Magazine, “After we were done with Kingdom Hearts II and were starting to consider III, we started talks with Disney, I remember saying, ‘If we can’t use Pixar, then we can’t have a third game.’ It’s that important to the game series,” (Nomura). And it’s clear to see why Nomura put so much importance on Toy Story once you realize how much its story connects to and reinforces the themes and mythos of Kingdom Hearts. Toy Box is a magical world. While it appears to be the same of our own it holds a great secret, Toys are alive. When a child looks away a Toy springs to life revealing a heart of their very own, but that begs the question, how does a toy possess a heart? In Kingdom Hearts 3 we learn the answer. A toy is given a heart by the love of children. When a child looks upon a toy they do not see a cheap piece of plastic but instead they see a friend with a heart of its own to be loved and cherished. And it is that belief which truly gives the toys a heart. This is what Woody means when he says the Toys within Galaxy Toys have yet to figure it out. That they have yet to realize the love of a child and thus are empty shells without a heart of their own. As Young Xehanort himself points out this draws heavily parallels between the toys and Nobodies, both incomplete creatures searching for their missing Half, but this parallel isn't just there to establish why the heartless can possess the empty toys. The point of this Parallel is to answer a question that has haunted the narrative of Kingdom Hearts since the events of KH2, Why does Roxas have a heart? Roxas, just like his somebody, is an anomaly in the world of Kingdom Hearts. He is a nobody that bears neither the face nor the memories of his original self. He is more shallow than any other nobody, less a body without a heart and more a broken shell. Yet not only was Roxas the first nobody to grow a heart but said heart was his alone. Throughout the events of Days Roxas grows from a barely living husk of a man to one who definitely proclaims his own existence and personhood. And this is thanks to the bonds forged in his first year. Just like how a Toy is given a heart through the eyes of a child Roxas was given a heart by those that were drawn to him. From those he shared ice cream with under the twilight sky, the trio he befriended ever so slightly on a lazy afternoon, the fairy tale heroes his somebody cherished, and even the forgotten longing of brothership from the King of Nothing Roxas began to be shaped by those around him. His soul is learning the rules of the world, the nature of a heart, the simple joys of friendship, the sting of betrayal, and the heartbreak of goodbyes. As Roxas’s newborn heart grew with every day he too gained the ability to see the hearts of others whether it be in the Flurry of Dancing Flames whose false smile became true or the Puppet who became a Real Girl. But perhaps the final proof of Roxas' heart lies with his own “Andy”. Sora at first refused to see his “Woody”, whether it be or out of ignorance or prejudice Sora denied Roxas existence, refusing to heed the clues of the other half or feel his presence in his heart. That is until Roxas forced Sora to acknowledge him. Within the very core of his heart Sora came face to face with Roxas and was forced to acknowledge their connection through the Keyblades in order to win the fight. With Roxas’s tragedy laid before him Sora is at last ready to accept the truth and later on in the realm of sleep acknowledge not only Roxas’s existence but that he has a heart of his own. Just like how Andy gave woody and Buzz hearts by writing his name on them, Sora gives his Nobody a heart by acknowledging him as his own person. While Toy Box Provides many answers it also raises a new question. If A toy gets its heart from a child’s love what happens when a toy becomes worlds apart from its kid? This question plaques Buzz throughout the events of Toy Box. With every possessed toy they defeat Buzz sees himself in them more and more. He fears that as he continues to drift away from Andy he too will lose his heart and become just another lifeless puppet . Ironically enough it is this very fear of separation that allows the darkness to grow inside Buzz making him another weapon for the heartless. In contrast to Buzz Woody is able to resist the pull of darkness. Woody has already dealt with the fear of separation first through his anxiety over being replaced by Buzz as Andy's favorite toy and second when he became paranoid over the idea of Andy abandoning if he broke. Both events taught Woody something important that yes his time with Andy is not permanent, that someday they will part but that doesn't mean their bond will ever end. Thanks to the events of Toy story 1 and 2 Woody has the resolve to face the hardships of Young Xehanort’s trials and keep his faith in Andy. And this is why Woody is the one to challenge Young Xehanort. ToyBox is ultimately an encapsulation of the themes of Kingdom Hearts. This can be seen through the many parallels between The World and KH as a series. We’ve already pointed out the connection between the toys and Nobodies but what about how the world is split in two just like in dream drop Distance. Or how about the toy's separation from Andy mirrors Sora’s separation from Riku and Kairi in KH1 with Woody managing to resist the pull to darkness and put his faith in the light because he knows the true strength of a heart thanks to his connections. And lets not forget Buzz’s possession calling back to Riku and Terra’s fall to darkness. Even Buzz’s salvation continues to draw parallels between him and Riku with how they are both saved from the darkness by their friends never giving up on them. Yes Toy Box is a world built up from the ground to parallel the events of Kingdom Hearts, but why is that? Why out of all the other worlds in KH3 was this one chosen to hold a mirror directly to Sora’s journey? Well that's simple because the story of Toy Story is at its core a story about friendship, about how bonds can last forever even if the time spent together is finite. There is another purpose however for Why Toy Box is set up this way. Toy Box’s main role in the overall narrative of Kingdom Hearts 3 is to be a test trial for his destined clash with Master Xehanort. The main antagonist of Toy Box is Young Xehanort who split the world in two and took the toys away from Andy in order to conduct an experiment. Said experiment was to see whether or not a toy is not only capable of having a heart but if they can carry darkness. This is all done as part of the True Organization's goal to achieve their final vessel but as the world’s story progresses it becomes Clear that Young Xehanort has his own reasons for doing all this. Young Xehnaort wishes to use this experiment to validate himself. Young Xehanort is the earliest version of Xehanort and thus represents his cynical beliefs at their most immature. He believes that not only is darkness the heart’s true nature but that strength comes from isolation. That it is not bonds and connections that make a heart strong but instead the never ending darkness that is born from fighting alone. It is a fundamentally childish ideal not born from understanding but instead self serving cynicism. And that is why Young Xehnort was chosen to be the villain of this world as his childish ideals serve as the perfect test run for Sora, allowing him to confront a weaker version of Xehnort’s ideals and see just how far his own ideals can stand up against him. Ultimately Sora manages to pass the test but not without some help. In the End Woody is the one to ultimately confront Young Xehanort and Save Buzz. Using his maturity Woody is able to shut down Young Xehanort’s childish worldview and break the darkness imprisoning Buzz. So While Sora is victorious in the end it does beg the question, Is Sora truly ready to confront Master Xehanort? So the reason for Chernabog appearing in End of the World isn't just something random because he's evil and looks like a heartless. Chernabog was actually originally conceptualized as the main antagonist and final boss, being the commander of darkness before an original character who would be finalized as Ansem would take that role instead. End of the World also originally didn't exist, and Chernabog would have been fought in Hollow Bastion as the finale. Presumably this encounter was replaced with the much less exciting Behemoth and Hollow Bastion no longer being the final world, and Chernabog's presence in End of the World likely a remnant of that original plan, choosing to put him somewhere at the very least even if as just a one off encounter with no significance. You can see concept art for that final battle on the prerelease page for Kingdom Hearts I on The Cutting Room Floor. I'd recommend looking through that prerelease page in general as well as the rest of what TCRF has to offer in terms of cut content and prerelease/development material for the Kingdom Hearts series as a whole, obviously excluding Kingdom Hearts III since actively playing through that one currently. Additionally I recommend the Removed Content page on KH Wiki which has some stuff not on TCRF. There's a lot of interesting things, such as the fact that the already plentiful phases of Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts II and an additional two phases that were cut that look really cool.
