Great idea thanks for sharing, you guys are awesome.
I am going to use this technique for my screens but I will make one small change in the construction of the screens, placing the Velcro on the screens before I staple them, that way the staples also helps hold on the Velcro when removing the screens and adds another layer of strength to the whole assembly .

The tape around the edges was the trick I needed! I had the screen and the Velcro, also cut in half but couldn’t find an edge to use. This is Perfect. Thank you for sharing this project.

Tiff great job on the screens. One tip with the gaffers tape if you want to remove the staples is to iron the edges with a regular clothing iron so the adhesive on the tape flows through the mesh and combines with the adhesive from the opposite side. The reason the tape has a hard time normally is that there is not much surface area to stick to so using the iron allows the tape to flow and stick to itself. The iron will also help make the velcro strips stick better.

I am thinking about the RV fun and heartache. I didn't think about schoolies. I have not found any of your videos boring in fact very well made. If you find yourself in Salem Oregon, let me know I would love to talk to you about your bus and how your thought process made it come true.

Really nice solution. Can camouflage the staples if you want with a black sharpie pen.

Great idea guys thank you for sharing I've got a MCI MC9 coach and the Windows are big but don't slide right to left they open from the bottom out and replacing them with RV style windows is crazy expensive so I could definitely do your idea and still get plenty of ventilation without the bug party that comes along with camping and we all know how much that sucks so thanks for the info.
    Much appreciated.

Use a black sharpie to camouflage the staples, at least they won't be as stark against the black or maybe get a little bottle of black acrylic craft paint, sharpie would be easier though. Good job!

A bug zapper light would work Great when you’re using a generator or hooked to shore power. You don’t need to leave it on for very long maybe about an hour.

I should add just in case it isn't obvious, don't iron directly on the tap. Put a thin cloth down on your table top, place the screen on that cloth, then another cloth over the tape so you can apply heat, (and pressure) without marring the surface of the tape.

So glad I ran across this video! I just returned from Menards with screen material. Had stopped by JoAnn Fabrics hoping to find something to sew around the edges, but I really like your Duck Tape idea! So much simpler and faster. Can you give me an update? How did these work for you? Was there anything you would do differently? Thank you very much. By the way, I already added the screen door to my amazon cart and will be purchasing it here in about 15 minutes. Love it.

Just curious, anyone else have longer term usage updates on this technique? We used it and the adhesive is not holding up to the heat even in the PNW. Not sure if someone has found a better way to stick these or if you just redo it every 3-ish years.

I would rather sew it. Stapling is not safe. Especially with pets or kids around.
