Just want to thank you to tell about the mst I just got it and I have had for 3 days and it so fun to use but it does Really take skill thank you once again
On my Gen 8 Axe, I did outer portal covers, still need to put on inner covers, but I am waiting for new links to come in so I can do it all at once along with servo relocation. Did lower link mounts too. I took it out to my favorite spot, game changer just with outer portal covers. I am going to just go all the way and do the aluminum axle housings. I am so addicted.
@@derricklee5695 So far the front outer. I have inner for the front but I want to wait on that until I get the axle housings. I will be doing brass all around. Just finished with Club 5 suspension links and steering links, as well as club 5 servo relocation. Very pleased with all. Bump steer is still there, but not nearly as bad.
Awesome upgrades! I have the same brass portal covers on my Purple Haze. Never could find the diff cover like that though. My truck weighs in at 7lbs on the nose!
Yeah, some folks really like that, and I get it. When clean it sure looks nice! I really appreciate how treal blacked it out, but then beveled those edges so you still get a hint!
My Gen. 7 is right around 7 pounds After I put the Portal axles on it it started having tipping issues again I need to retune the shocks and add more weight My wallet is gonna be empty with this truck 🤣

Congratulations!
Very glad you have the MST working.
Keep practicing. Then, a controller and gyro upgrade helps a lot for that car!

Awesome!
I am always nervous about going "All-in" on the brass weight.
My son's SCX10ii crawls really well as a light weight.
@@RoadsideRC the gen8 absolutely needs the weight up front, but now I have to be careful going down or it will flip. Trying to get the balance right
Craig did you do the outer covers only for the front, or all 4?

@@CraigThomas2070 What are the inner parts? Is it the Treal counterweights?
Very best information.
Thanks.
Thank you!

Yes sir!
I took one side of the steering linkage off to put the diff cover on, feel dumb now haha
Ah! Don't worry about it! You got it done!

See what you can do to lower it down!
Getting that suspension lower will help you in MANY ways....except getting through the snow.
