Wish I had people to crawl with. Where I live there is almost no one that has any rc, let alone crawlers. Looks like a great time. God bless and stay safe sir. 😁✌️
I have the treal axle housings and the portal weights on my 10iii . It made it so much better of a crawler by putting weight down low. Next mod is a rear sway bar to be installed.
Currently I am running purple Springs 30 wait in the front 40 weight in the rear aluminum bead locks with Vudu tires and I really like it I just got a set of 20% overdrive front gears for it and a rear trailing arm relocation kit to move it up so we’ll see how those work out definitely going to need to get some weight up
Rotational Weight equals Drive Train Stress. Sprung Weight equals Stability Issues and adds to higher COGs. What you want to add, which is what this does, is Unsprung, non Rotational Weight. Get it low, and static (doesn't Move) under the springs and that is Stability Weight.
Yup, agreed. A real discovery too is spin-up, acceleration for quick bumps is more responsive with light wheels/tires. Braking at critical points is improved too. Drivetrain stress, we haven't had much of an issue with these slowwww crawlers and very beefy drivetrains. But it can be an issue for some. Very true in fast cars for sure.
Hi Francis, I got a question about the Proline Dual Stage Foams: I drive the class 1 Hyrax on my Sendero and I'm unsure, if the PL Dual Stage Foams are to big (seller description says:".. for 1.9 XL.." So you know, if the a smaller version, or will fit these foams on class 1 tires? Thanks a lot for your answer and your input and the vids! Maik from Hessen, Germany.
Lower it with the traxxas big bore shox, put any low clearance skid, $team garage hack$ rims, a ton of brass in front, overdrive the front and $intheworks$ links.. boom! comp capra ready is ready! Works so good!
With his simple climbs and observations, I noticed a lot of subtleties. The way he steered and backed up were legit. The observation too on the the capra being 'quick' was pure gold. #unrehearsed
Any plans to build a lcg vehicle? Personally I've never built any kit but just ordered a custom chassis and trx4 kit to try and build a custom lcg vehicle. A little nervous but very excited. My rtr upgraded TRX4 sport does great But I want to step it up to the next level. 🤞
@@RCReviewChannel i kinda figured You may have something up your sleeve. You seem to have quite an interest in those belly draggers and the performance they were capable of. Me also. 👍
Great video Francis! I have two Capra kits I just finished and torn on what the must have upgrades are. Do you consider the rear link riser a good option or just stick to the brass stuff up front?
@@RCReviewChannel The Real Crawlers fill their tires with water. They don't look like they flex at all but they don't spin or slip either. I've seen solid copper wheels also.

In MY honest opinion: BUT, the brass steering weights are extremely rough on the STOCK/original plastic front (& rear) axles. Too, the portal covers r not bad. I upgraded to the all aluminum front and rear axles. You can do anything brass to them!

Love my Capra your videos are definitely helping a lot and it is so cool to see the kids into this hobby really brings a smile to my face
Glad you like them!
Thats awesome, way to get the young ones into the hobby!
Yeah, we give him fast cars and slow cars and he handles himself well.
@@RCReviewChannel thats awesome. I see some youngsters at the track. Sometimes theyre better than the adults!
😍😍😍
10+for the driver!!!

Avery , what a Champ!!! Nice mod.👍👍👍
Yeah, I literally just put that in his hands for the first time ever.

Great job Avery keep it up.
I wish brass was available for the ECX Temper Gen 2! It's such a great entry-level crawler, but there's no third-party support for it at all :(
Thanks for your videos, so much good information!

Do you think it would be worth puttting the rear portals in too to help with downhills or it it good how it is
I think it's good how it is. If one has very steep descents and the rear is unstable, rear portal covers will help plant the reaer.
RC Review would you say with all the weight in the front makes it worse at decending that the Capra in its stock form without the brass?
hello nice videos,
i wanna ask you do you have maybe or gonne make maybe a video of whats the best suspension mod oil update for crawling please?
How is are the carbon fiber panels holding up to scratches?
Can I use these on my Scx 10 III?

Sir, can a person convert regular axles to the portal type?? I would really like to know, thanks for your time and efforts.
It's possible but not practical. It costs hundreds of dollars and the result is mediocre with a high cg chassis
Hahahahahaha awesome!!! Little man is killing it!!! Good job
Avery does better than some 4 times his age. Nice driving young man!
Yes, super cool. Quiet, insightful kid. Son of one of our crew.
are you running any weight in the actual wheels themselves?
Only when there's no other brass weight on the chassis.
Where's the rs800 servo??
it's coming!! Had to pull out the other big time servos to compare.
They should make silicone tire inserts instead of foam.
What would that do? They used close cell foam for durability and waterproofing and open cell foam for ultimate conformity.
@@RCReviewChannel The Real Crawlers fill their tires with water. They don't look like they flex at all but they don't spin or slip either. I've seen solid copper wheels also.
I just figured it would weigh more than foam and still good flexibility.

Try some brass 3rd members f/r.
ooh what are those? Any links?

After having brass, & spending $$ on 8 axles, I went all aluminum. ONLY way 2 be!
