lower levels are so bad they flame and tilt off anything different than what they are used to, even if it is the correct play and if it's not often times it isn't even that bad
Do it like he said, ask if it’s ok if you can play Rehgar in the solo lane. Personally I want to get good at Rehgar but I have Graymane Syndrome baaaad so it’s probably not a good idea for me lol
While I do understand that his waveclear is very good for a healer or even in general, solo lane is so much about the match up you drafted that I don’t see that in a game versus Vikings. I don’t doubt that it might be viable as a compositional pick, I just can’t see that in this video versus a Zagara/Vikings comp. It would be nice to get more details about when he is strong and versus which character/ comp. Thanks for the content and I appreciate your critical thinking and meta analysis to help players with the game and to spark ideas.
I love this build on Rehgar! I've been playing it with ancestral instead of bloodlust as a solo healer for a while, and have been getting overall a good win rate with him. It's really fun, especially with a beefy tank that I can throw my W on after I get rising storm. Also, getting storm shield at 20 is a big boost to survivability of the team during team fights. It's also a great build to have on him to cover lanes and take camps when no fights are going down or there are dead teammates whose lanes would get pushed in otherwise. Happy to see a video on it! 😁😁 Also, since ancestral healing became self-castable again, playing him on maps like braxis and dragon-shire is pretty doable since you end up being able to 1v1 most other characters and just out heal their damage. 😋
Recent;y I've been struggling to figure out where Rehgar fits in the meta; other healers heal more, other heals have better cc, some healers have better ults. This video has illuminated the fact that no other support has better waveclear/camp clear. I'm excited to try this out. On a side note, I've been playing with the aba changes a lot, and I'm having a lot of fun taking camps at lvl 16 with locust build, you'd be suprised how fast aba can take camps by himself you don't even need monstro; the only downside being you can't do that untill 16. Maybe you could do it at 10 with monstro.
i think the most value rehgar gives is his ability to be a swiss army knife hero and the fact he have a powerspike at every lvl. You have constant heals from Q and your lvl 4 totem (that heals 20% of everyone each 30s) he have cleanse at lvl 7 and can deny enemy lockdown, he have burst healing at lvl 10 with ancestral, he have 12% of target hp shield at lvl 13 + aoe shield at 20. he have 90% slow at 16, and its basicly like a root, he can lane, he can camp, he can provide more dmg, his Z is not canceled by dmg, so have an escape tool. Rehgar doesnt have one OP thing that other healers have, but he have decent "everything" - something like a tassadar - i call them swiss army knife heroes, because they provide alot of utility to your team inside only one hero
@@Krige1111 he's classed as healer/support but I find you can do a good amount of damage with him and like you said lightning shield is a good wave clearer.
I used to upload replays to Hotslogs a lot back in the day, but then stopped after the site underwent a whole big controversy with the owner, malware etc. It seems to have calmed over by now, but I'm back to uploading my stuff to Hotsapi due to your videos and push for it. So your campaign is working!
Paradox would you ever consider doing a reasons you SHOULD play LiLi video at some point ? I feel like my favourite healer is in a bit of a slump as far as pick rates and the want to play her goes , i know she hasnt gotten any love from Blizzard in a long time now but i still think she is a great hero that brings so much to a team fight and she is great for learning positioning and she can literally 1v1 ANY hero in the game and probably win if she needs to , and she has gank potential with water dragon and a slow an aoe slow on your E. You dont have to make this video but i think people need to be reminded that she exists , thanks for even reading this if you do :)
She is a horrible hero to lear positioning, simply because you can literaly bail out of almost any situation with self heal plus blind and move speed. That makes new players think they can do whatever they want.
She is great, I did more damage than my friend, he was playing Hanzo. He called me out that I don't do any healing and only damage, but I did a great job in healing and damage.
She used to be pretty good with slowing wind at 4; now she can't really kill anyone in 1v1 despite "winning" the lane. And she can't push the lane or quick rotate because it takes forever to kill minions. So she makes a poor solo laner. On the other hand, she's a good 2v2 hero if your ally can wave clear. But the only map where 2v2 is a thing is probably dragon shire. Water dragon is good if the enemy has no counter, but it easily countered by any tank with cc reduction, cleanse, decoys, or simple bushes. I usually pick water dragon, not because it is good, but because I usually have zero confidence in my team to do anything.
@@icd9418 she can absolutely deal lots of dmg, but with auto heal, auto dmg and forgiving positioning due to move speed, new players aren't getting better at the game. There are easy characters like valla who are good for training positioning and mechanical skill. Lili is just too easy and forgiving for you to learn anything.
Still wondering if Electric Charge is worth it. 2,5 k self heal seems such a low amount compared to the utility the other talents bring vs the extra range.
Completely agree. The lvl 1 W talent is the weakest by far. E gives so much more slows and area control while Z gives more dmg, mobility, and overall synergy to his wolf build(im super biased to this one, it is hella strong). I think cleanse on lvl 7 is overrated and too situational, blood and thunder is better
So I'm trying to get better at HotS, but my issue isn't mechanics or skill. I'm pretty good in terms of pure skill. My issue is in understanding the game theory behind HotS, such as when to rotate, what heroes counter others, what do I prioritize on the map? Does anyone have tips on better understanding the Game Theory? (Before anyone says look up TH-cam guides I do. I'm just looking at all sources.)
Where do you find teammates who know what they are doing? I just never come across these people when trying to solo. Last game, 3 people immediately fed and died 3x each in the first 3 min. Then the 4th player just gave up, sat at base to end the game in 10 min.
Hey Man! I've been a follower since hots release. Just recently came back to the game 'cause of your videos, and I'm getting some great fun. Will also try this if ppl let me solo with Reh! Just one small thing if you don't mind: You tend to end 80% of your sentences with an upward inflection, like it was a question, and it annoys the sh*t out of me :D Pls pay some attention to it, and I promise I'll pay more attention to counterpicks in drafts. Thanks, and keep the videos coming!
NP, your Q healing to yourself is scored in Team healing, not in Self healing. So you healed your team for about... 10k-13k healing. Yes, healing was not your main goal but still you should not missunderstand it as helping your teammates.
Because they will lose in soak. And also to get 7 first. They have tlv who also mainly soak. So basically its 4v4 at first obj. Its just that they have better comp on thst 4v4.
At 4:50 you take 2 consecutive orb shots from liming in 5 sec... Can't you dodge it ? This playstyle is weird. At least you have a carry hero, and this is what has always been the basis of what make a double support work, I do not think it is the build particularly
Johanjof the 1st one looks deliberately walked into to block the interrupt on the channel. Second one is attempted to dodge slight move right but the space was too narrow.
@@SaiHayabusa Well there is qhira right behind him and valla and ana beside can poke for that, and indeed it is generally the role of range hero to poke for that because it is safer. And space is not narrow he can just go right. The only time it was necessary for him to take the shot in that moment is at 5:15, to peel for valla, but he dodges instead... Note that I just point little details that interest me I don't mean to say he plays poorly. I still do not think the build has anything to do with the win of their comp.
Solo lane Rehgar, or: How to get flamed and reported in lower level games
So long as you have another healer you shouldn't get flamed
You get flamed from everyone who won't open up for something new :(

I think tell ppl what ur doing helps like. I'm gonna camp b4 obj. Or I'll split push with boss. Or I'm going to murder this fucking deathwing. 🤩😁👍🏼💐
The number of Reghar's I've played with since this video trying this build and feeding while doing no damage or healing has been quite incredible.
Finally a hots video lol

TH-cam showed me this right now and nostalgia hits like a speeding truck... This game was gold... 😢😢
Looking at it, there are quite a few healers who could solo. I think double healer might be coming back
Glad to see a successful Vikings player. I’m struggling with the xp change.
Stumbled upon this channel. My steam id was Paradox with pretty much the same triangle illusion. Wonder how many people did the same thing as we did
