Cool game! It was the first PlayStation 2 game I ever purchased several years ago, and I also had the PC version when I was a kid way before then. So many memories!
This game is was started and feed my Corvette addiction since I was a little kid. NFSHP2 introduced me to the Corvette. This game started the addiction.
If I may jump in, I recently got this game for the PS2 and also have tested it on the PS3. I suggest, you add the additional information, that this game freezes when it tries to save on the virtual PS2 memory cards.
Well, for me it doesn't so much freeze but rather takes the better half of a minute to save. But you do kinda have a point. I am using a PS2 myself, after all.
I would play this all the time on my brother’s PS2. I learned what overlapping was in this game when I tried to do what I thought was catching up and wait for the other guy to do a lap and be behind me so I could be in 1st again.
Nice to see the corvette virtually in gaming! When I played videogames, it was in the 80s and there you couldnt choose a car. There was only one :) Although I prefer the real V8 Cars it's interesting for me to watch the detailed silhouettes in the game. It's very realistic. If you want, take a look at my channel. I hate Corvettes because of this game. I bought this at a school book fair as a kid and I was disappointed. You know how bad a game has to be in order to be sold at a school book fair AND leave a child disappointed? Now as a grown man, I sometimes will run Corvettes off the road in any racing game, because fuck this game lol
