I think it's ridiculous how in the early days of television they were not allowed to show a married couple in bed. I've never understood the reason or logic behind it I mean you're not going to be showing them having sex married couples have been sleeping in the same bed since the dawn of time there's nothing inappropriate or unnatural about it.

@@MrMenefrego1 I did some online research shortly after I commented. Apparently, he is ambidextrous. There are pics of Dick signing autographs left AND right-handed! I'd always been happy that he is in the same minority group as I, but there you go...

If you look at it, most episodes that involve Rob being the subject of attraction for someone else involve Laura acting much more maturely than Rob does in the same situation. Even in this episode, she only begins to get upset after she sees the lipstick and overhears him out of context. If it was Rob instead, he immediately begins to get jealous without even thinking.
It doesn't take much for Laura to get jealous. Why does Rob call her Laurie in this ep, but usually he calls her Laura? Weird. I always thought Jerry the dentist was cute.
Laura really loves Ritchie. It could just be a motherly thing, but she generally shows more affection for him than Rob does. Rob should have told Ritchie that his mother was the most beautiful woman before he had to hear it from Jerry, and Laura had to hear the out-of-context remark. If I was Laura I may not have forgiven him.

Rob hugged and kissed Ritchie when he would come home, but didn't worry about or believe him as readily as Laura did. I am not blaming him or anything: he loved his son, and he's a working person, but Laura was much more present in Ritchie's life than he was. Whenever Ritchie had a problem, he would first run to Laura.

Jerry Paris was underrated as a character actor on this show, but especially as a director of many of the episodes. I loved this show.
He had a great, natural presence!
