@@Geeks4x4 I was really impressed with how smooth it was. If you had not pointed out the transition of the body line under the window I would have attributed it to a small dent.
Looking good - consider grinding off the welds, fill with bondo, sand smooth and then do a Starski n Hutch (white), A-Team (red) or a dark blue jurassic park jeep style stripe to hide the bobbed section. Or you could do an extra stripe i.e., dual stripes (like a corvette grand sport front fender) but over the top and down both sides.
Ya that's pretty much my thought exactly with the stripe. Welds sure aren't so that might be my best option... Worried about bondo cracking on the trail tho😱
Interesting thought on the cracking bondo…I’ve had that trouble on a thick bondo job right above my rear wheel well on my truck. Did fine until I took it off-road again. But the bondo was also 1/4” in the deepest spot😂
Thank you for the support, and man that would be fun. But I've got a lot more work to do before then... and hopefully some of those magazines stay in print long enough!
I want to shorten my 07 f250 frame and biuld a 3/4 ton 06 navigator 8" lift 6" susp 2"body on 40s puttin 5-600hp to the wheels via (godzilla or powerstroke would be epic) turbo 5.4 3v 6sp
But running to the store to buy more parts you don’t need yet is SO MUCH fun😂
Ha... you always need more parts😎
I really like the white stripe you went with. It looks good, gives you an accent stripe, and covers at the same time.
Thanks! I like it too! Glad I went white

I'm glad to hear it! I'm no body work expert but it does look pretty good with some bondo and paint!
Make the dodge boys blood boil n get June bug decal made up like the rumble bee for the stripe
@@jakejacob9814 ha now that would be funny!
fyi I have heard that dry ice helps pop the sound deadener off, but I haven't done it myself
The stuff on the rear floor? Ended up heating it and scraping....not fun!
Looks like a a tropicclassic from brazil but with the exscursion rear end
Is that the one with a trunk? Maybe a little bit, its different for sure. Thanks for watching!

Looks great man!
Your the first to have seen her in person! Thanks man!
@@Geeks4x4 was an honor my friend!
I'm for grinding the welds down and using bondo to fill the gap. Maybe white or black on the stripe?
Interesting on the stripe colors... white would be a pretty classic look, like ray had said about the Torino.
id take all your realistic builds to sema and see if people will accept it
Ha! Ya something tells me it'd stand out!
@@Geeks4x4 Id certainly take interest i just hope the press would too, maybe see the excursion on a magazine one day that'd be awesome!

@@Geeks4x4 I believe it probably all e magazines lol
@@mysticwaffle907 Ya It's sad to see, but im glad they are still able to write!
Hello. Awesome Excursion project there. Are you wrapping all of it, or just the welded area?
Plan is to just wrap the welded section for now, but who knows what the future holds.
@@Geeks4x4 Ahaa👍. Will be interesting to see how it goes😀
I'm just as excited as you are!
@@Geeks4x4 😃
So basically you turned a excursion in to a expedition sounds like a waste of time but I expect nothing different from a ford/jeep guy
Ha, kind of, but I get all the excursion running gear, and solid axles. Ya us jeep ford guys are the worst😎! Thanks for watching!
