Yes that’s why I started where I did in the process. The 05 has different vacuum seals which sucked but other than that same same. Super nice kit tell them geeks4x4 sent ya when you order, just drove 1000 miles and this is the best this trucks felt since I built it.

Ya it might be time to grab one of those. My plasma cutter just makes more work it seems like sometimes…. Maybe I need a nicer one!

@@Geeks4x4 yeah. I’ve got the same plasma cutter, different brand…it comes in handy cutting brackets off of frames and other random jobs, but I don’t use it as much as I’d like…I’m too cheap to drop big coin on a nice unit😂

@@Geeks4x4 Haha right!. I do actually have an 05 Excursion that just tripped the 450K mark on my way back from Utah earlier this month. Nothing major in its life other than maintenance, but I know its coming.

@@Geeks4x4 you know I don't know I watched my boss by Ford with a 6.0 in it and after putting a bunch of work in it it still blew a head gasket and it didn't really have a whole lot of miles on it you know 100 ish and he had me look into finding a common rail in the training adapter and I end up finding a kit and a good 24v all under $5000. Now I don't personally have that kind of money to put into it but I still don't think the average guy couldn't do it

Ya you’re not wrong, and on a 6.0 that’s less than the bulletproof. The issue is all the extra stuff, cruise control a/c, dash that no one really talks about with a swap. Takes a lot of tinkering to get things really right. But I agree do able and awesome

The 05-07 steering box and pitman arm got my stabilizer out of the lower hose did you use the factory 06 bracket?

@@Geeks4x4 yeah I used the bracket as well as the pitman arm and steering box off the 06. Maybe the hose routing is different on the 7.3

That was going to be my next question... sounds like it sure might be. You might try it without a stabilizer or get one of those dual set ups that mounts down on the axle. I believe Skyjacker makes a set up use my coupon code (geeks4x410) for 10% off if you go that direction.

No joke, my 6.0 Excursion was annoyingly expensive to change the oil on, my 6.8 is hella cheap!

ya my 7.3 is a 200$ oil change, 16 quarts aint cheap

Yes 6.0 started coming in the excursion in 03. But no the excursion never got coils on a 4x4 from the factory. It got the 05 grill/bumper/headlights but never the coils
