DO NOT overtorque the steering box bolts !!! I ripped my box out on trail because of it (2001 ujoint 4x4 converted e250). Sheared them thangs right off in the box. not good. 55 ft lbs is less than you think. the bolts need to be able to stretch -- use grade 8!

Very nice rig there. I have a 2003 silver Grand Cherokee Overland that needs it's engine put back together after I ported the heads and polished the rods then balanced the rotating mass. Gave it to my oldest son who showed no interest in getting it running. Now my youngest boy is getting ready to turn 13 and I have given him the same opportunity. Hopefully he gets into it and we can have it running with a lift kit and tires and wheels off my 2016 Sahara JKU.

5r110 is like 12ft lb, so if you’re doing one on a 6.0 it’s also a good time to upgrade a 6.4 pan and filter.

As a v10 owner and a 7.3 owner which one do you like more and what made you choose to modify the v10 while keeping the 7.3 relatively stock (atleast stock looking im not sure what you’ve actually done to it)

I don’t understand over landing at all. I like off roading and I like camping but I don’t get it. If I take my truck into the woods, I still have the same 40ish pound pack, I still sleep in my Hennessy hammock and wash up in the creek. The biggest difference is I’m not discouraged from packing sweet potatoes.

I run LED replacement bulbs. Have to get the ones where the LEDs are placed right for the reflectors. Shenkenuo brand or something from the Walmarts, cheap and been holding up well.

IMO SUV and a dump trailer is the perfect combo. Trailer can hold same if not more than a pickup and SUV can go anywhere a pickup can (providing body on frame 4x4 etc) and can haul the same people! Once you have an SUV though then its hard to deny a pickup though haha. Great rig!
