Got a dumb question....I have a machined empty front cover. Turned mine in to a machine shop as a core a month ago. What's the best way to find out what boost valve length is needed?
@@expressautotransmissiondav4207 Are you in baxter springs KS? If you are,im about 45min from al rosa vila where the biggest tragedy in panteras history took place..
I'm trying to get the pump in, but I can't get it to offset and it's not really centered. I've done this before, not a pro by any means. It looks like you just threw it together and done. What's the secret please?
The pump bushing and seal I use a sharp 5/8 chisel to remove and the bushing I use a bushing chisel. I use an arbor press to install the bushing and seal

Great video, when you machined the pump half, wouldn't that change the clearances for the vanes? Should you machine the otehr half also?

For sure..alright,alright,alright.(dazed&confused)
What do you set your clearance on your clutch packs 3-4, forward, reverse input drum....ect?
How much do you charge to turn faces?
You don't machine the pump housing? Just the pump cover? What is done to correct the wear in the pocket? We machine both halves here.
what is your business info? need to get a pump side resurfaced.

Which company you can recommend me for fast parts for 4l60e parts???
Wanted to ask about the lathe you use to perform the machine work. Would you be willing to share the specs on that machine?

I am looking for a replacement pump slide for my 1991 Astro Van with 4L60 tranny. Can't seem to find a source. Please help.
How did you remove the bushing and seal
The pump bushing and seal I use a sharp 5/8 chisel to remove and the bushing I use a bushing chisel. I use an arbor press to install the bushing and seal
Where do you get a pump kit
I use the TransGo 700-PKH (5500+ rpm) and the spring that comes with it you can't squeeze it by hand.
What clearances do you set the Slide / Rotor / Vanes to sir?
GM 4L60/4L60e Rebuild Procedures by Cliff McCormick, manual has all the clearances in it, can find it free on the internet
Ya I would like that
I wonder why nobody has ever made a gasket to go between the pump halves.
most pumps are metal on metal, dont want gasket material to enter the pump area
A video of you setting up the pump on the lathe and doing the measurements would be nice.
Do you know any reputable shop in Houston Tx that can work on my transmission
Unfortunately I do not.

So line pressure won't go above 63 psi? Also what year is it do you have a way to watch epc command
