From start to finish: This is quite possibly the most informative video I've seen on TH-cam. Thank you for taking the time to inform the general public with your deep knowledge! Top notch professionalism in your presentation!!!
Will the obd11 comp. in a 97 operate a 95 obd1 transmission. I have a 98 model in my 95 it works as should. i have been told the 95 will not work 96.97.or 98 due to electronics?
Totally Agree.. One question would the 4L65E work in a 2000 GMC JIMMY Diamond Edition that came with a 4L60E you had said the 4L65E was basically beefier and I'm wondering if it would be better over the 4L60E. PS. Wow I remember the Power glide transmissions. Had one in my 1964 Impala SS that was unfortunately stolen by a body shop in Manhasset N.Y. back in the early 80's. Thanks Eddie.
I agree 100% with Sean (below). I have been working on cars for over 40 years and have always been intimidated by automatic transmissions. With the help of this series I was able to diagnose and repair the burnt 3-4 clutch pack issue without any problem. SAVED ME HUNDREDES OF $$$$$. I am officially a "TH-cam Certified Mechanic"!! LOL I sincerely hope Cliff is getting paid from TH-cam, he deserves it!

The absolutely best source of info on automatic trans rebuilding. Had not seen anything better. Hope YT will not lose it for years to come. James Williams did an outstanding work.
I've had a leak in my transmission for a while and this video helped me find out that my ecu harness isn't pushed all the way out of the transmission and all my fluids coming out of there. Such a helpful video, thank you!
@@geomaz35 same trans? Nice! the 4l60 gets a bad rap for some reason. I've never had a problem with mine and I own two vehicles with them. Actually came here trying to figure out what the difference was between the transmission in my friends 01 Silverado and my 99 Blazer. After watching this video I realize now that my 2000 GMC Jimmy has the same transmission as his Silverado.
@@samholdsworth420 same trans, haven't rebuilt it, which is exceptional. I've only had to change solenoids A & B. I believe the newer Mercon fluids have caused many failures, I only use Mercon 3.
Thanks for this. I have a 95,96,98 Chevy GMC Tahoe Sierra c1500 short bed pickup. This goes a long way towards telling me what the previous owner frankentrucked together!
What an awesome video very well explained I also have been building for over 40 years and got out 10 years ago and learned quite a bit with this video Thank you Sean 👍💪💯
Haha, same. I got a 99 tranny laying around and I wasn't sure if it would work in my friends 2001 Silverado who thinks his transmission is about to crap out.
I know this kind of transmission are old and probably no many guys work on it, but i really appreciate the information you provide really useful. Thank you Sr.
Thank you Jimmy for this informative video. I sure wish i would have found this earlier than I did. I had a 1CAD that was suppose to be rebuilt and found out that the shop swapped my transmission with a 0CHD. Thank you again.
Thank you very much for this video it’s probably been the most informative video here on TH-cam regarding the 4L 60 E transmission is thank you once again God bless you and your family and friends.✝️✝️✝️🇺🇸
Dipstick calibration, fantastic. Had no idea where fluid level would be in case/pan when at proper operating temperature. Thank you for the great information, well done.
WOW Excellent Video.. How did we ever make it without these type of Y-Tube video's - Simply stated, probably saved me tremendous grief... "I immediately subscribed hoping to never miss a video like this ever again.
Thank you for this. I was curious as to how I would go about getting a dipstick for the transmission I found for my future LS conversion. I will be referring back to this video I'm sure!
Some trivia for the the viewers: The 55 and up bolt pattern mentioned here in the video is "55 and up Chevrolet only" type pattern. Therefore, it is not the same bolt pattern as the Pontiac, Buick and Olds during that time period. GM also made a universal case bolt pattern version that was known as PBOC for Pontiac, Buick, Olds, Chevrolet.
Can I fix my 1998 camry A140E transmission following this instructions. I wish you can make a video for A140E transmission. I can rebuild this type of transmissions already. Ived gone over and over watching this. Thank you very much sir for this video. Stay Safe. We need people like you.
