  • Reggie gets another flight in on his Sig Senior Kadet Sport, only this time he loses power around 200 ft in the air. The speed this airplane gets to with a tiny OS Max .46 is surprisingly impressive!

Very interesting, how did you the speed and direction telemetry ?
Nicely flown and excellent landing considering the engine was out

What is your best advice for keeping a 2 stroke glow engine "lit"?

A properly tuned and set-up glow engine doesn't just die mid flight. I think he said he was having fuel pickup problems from the fuel tank.

You can use an onboard glow igniter that will stay lit at half glow power while on flight. It uses its own battery or can be powered off of the flight pack. The on-board is controlled by the throttle input.

I’m coming to find out , I’ve got the same issue with that exact same motor on another plane . About half way thru a tank of fuel , it would die . Apparently the stopper was lose , vent tube had rotated from the top of the tank and interior lines disconnected from the clunk
