    Loved the original Attitude series, Although the reactive looks real close to what the OG reactive was, I'd have to go with the Control. You had a good look with both but the control looked like it would be right up my alley! Great stuff.

    Does the blue Attitude ball use the same core as the 1997 Tude2? I've had 1 since new & still use it on house & sport shots as I had my longest string of 21Xs in a row with it in 2004 going 300,236,300 after finishing prior gm with last 6 after I switched to it from a Stinger. I love the Tude2 & hope this can replace it? Thanks, Pack man!

    Every since 1994 I’ve wanted a Brunswick quantum, think once I’m recovered im gonna buy one a hy-road *( never owned a hy-road either weirdly )* ,and I need a urethane ball for sport/PBA patterns probably end up with a storm Pitch Black I don’t want something that hooks a lot I want this for those really short low oil volume lol patterns around 32ft-36ft, it crazy how fast the 2014 USBC open pattern that was a 1:1 pattern broke down with just 4 guys and 12 games bowled first game up 1st arrow by the end of game 3 we were in front of the ball return crazy how fast those patterns break down I can’t wait to bowl again I’m close to Vegas and Reno now I might try a PBA regional or maybe the US Open eventually I was once good enough to go pro but back *( 1998 )* then it was expensive and my sponsor could only cover %50 of the cost and I couldn’t get another sponsor or cover the rest myself, I miss AMF balls and the ABC, USBC sucks in comparison

I also got the purple Hammer now and like it. I recently got an old original Teal Hammer, barely used. I need to get it plugged and redrilled. Should be interesting. Love your videos.

      It’s just a shape many bowlers aren’t used to because it’s not often viable on house shots

    • @DeanMcCain
      @DeanMcCain 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Really it all boils down to how your eye perceives the shape. Jesper Svensson has stated on multiple occasions that his eye doesn't see reactive like it sees urethane, therefore he bowls better with urethane. I bowl best when I can play angle, but I've also taught myself how to bowl straighter. Most of the time urethane wants to be bowled with a lot of end over end roll as opposed to reactive, which when you throw it with a lot of end over end roll you limit the amount of boards it can cross.

    • @shelovet0mmy
      @shelovet0mmy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@remoevans7847 ok long-winded breakdown incoming. So one of the many things to understand about what urethane is knowing what it does to the lane. First the coverstocks are nonporous, meaning they dont absorb oil so it just collects on the surface of the ball. In combination with this, most of them have low diff cores and thus dont flare. This combination makes urethane create a lot of carry down on the back part of the lane. Of course as we know, with every shot thrown with any ball, including spares, the lane is changing. Focusing only on the carry down though, on a flatter sport pattern, the carry down that urethane produces can be good, as it creates more shape to the pattern by creating hold at the break point and further down the lane. This creates more forgiveness for misses inside. Now the exact phenomenon that can be used as a benefit on sport conditions, can be a detriment on house conditions. House patterns already have plenty of shape, and carry down to the outside part of the lane will actually make the lane flatter, because the inside and outside become more similar and lowering the ratio. While its certainly possible have a great look with urethane on both, it is not recommended on house because it makes the lane harder for yourself, your teammates, and anyone else on the lane as the night goes on. Over time there’s less miss room due to the dry outside part of the lane no longer helping wide shots recover because of the carry down.

    • @shelovet0mmy
      @shelovet0mmy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also i dont disagree that it can be used effectively on house, because my lefty friend averaged 239 for the entire season throwing urethane the entire time. But it was viable for him because he was the only traffic on the left side most nights and because his urethane wouldnt affect his teammates

      @@TheHouseBowling Hey Packy - Out of curiosity have you ever bowled using the "one handed syle"? Your two handed style is so smooth that it almost looks as though you are bowling the regular way. Left handed stroker has got to be one of the best combo's for bowling. I am a righty and have always liked the way lefties come off of the ball on release. You keep your release low and the shot looks like butter. Keep up the good work, there will be lots of titles waiting for your name.

    I rev my ball like a cranker but throw is on the slow side. 14.5-15 mph. Because of this I can’t get far enough left to get a strong reactive ball to get to the pocket. If I speed up Im not consistent. Urethane (purple hammer) is easy to control for me so that’s what I use. My only issue with it is it can sometimes it can hit flat. It doesn’t have that strong backend. Maybe someone could give me a good recommendation for a reactive I can control. For context I just bought my first reactive ball in many years and I choose the innovator by radical. I can’t get it to the pocket. Left every time. Is there something a slower throwing, moderately high rev player can control? I probably get near as much rotation as packy is getting.

The Attitude Control scored well, but didn't look nearly as good going down the lane on the house shot, and it didn't look like you quite had it lined up on the sport, but knew where it would fit in your bag by the end.You said that pattern was 41/42 ft, right? but the balls were really reading earlier. I'd go with the resin attitude for league night, especially if it's fresh oil. But as talented as you are I can see you choosing either way.
    I've always had my highest games and series with Urethane. But I've always had my highest average with resin.
    Side note I follow Ben Pettit's site. That 15 year old from New Zealand is going to be a good one. He was wearing a Packey Hanrahan shirt while making a video. I think you two must have crossed paths. Seems like a nice kid
