Hey Packy you've really been a inspiration for me in junior bowling today I bowled in Denton Bowlero and got 3rd overall with some scholarship money so I just wanna thank you for teaching me everyday even though you're two handed
I just had a random video idea that could be fun - a 1v1 where you have a random number generator on your phone set to 5-25 (you could change those numbers a little if you’d want) and for every strike shot you have it generate a random number and that is your target at the arrows for that next strike shot. Each bowler gets a new random number every frame, and you just have to try and trick ‘em and make it work. Edit: a righty beating a lefty in a urethane battle? miracles do happen
Just forget resin, use urethane and you won't have to worry about the ball drying out and cracking. ;) I have a 1987 Grey Rhino that looks and works exactly like it did 35 years ago. A killer ball from the outside on drier house shots. That said, the Immortalizer does look like a great product!
So I have a real question. I started bowling 3 weeks ago. I bought a used 900 global zen from my local pro shop, and I just bought a purple black widow urathane from the japan/Korea release. Will the guy at the pro shop actually be upset I'll be bowling urathane on his lanes? Do people really get upset over urathane?
Morons complain about urethane because it messes up their shot. The lanes are perfectly fine with urethane. It is the shitty house bowler who can't adjust to the changing conditions who complains. The house bowler likes to play one line and cannot play anything else.
@@mikehunter4575 I use urethane in one of my leagues because it helps me strike more and trust me there are guys who complain because they don’t strike and blame it on the urethane. Oh well it’s a legal ball and if it’s for your game go for it!
I assume you mean hammer ghost? I have a motive jackal ghost and it is a hook monster as well. I almost bought the hammer ghost but my team mate did so I did not want to copy her. I bought the jackal instead I was the first one at our house to get one but 3 others have now purchased it in the last month after watching mine. But that white hammer hits hard too. Hammer and motive is all I ever use. I love my hammer badass it is my #1 benchmark ball and I have the infamous also and it is a great ball.
Packy, what slide sole do you use? And, how do you determine if you stand on the back dot or front dots on the approach? I’m lefty 2-handed, 5’5, 5 step approach.
I don't believe that a ball can ever die as they say. I haven't bowled in a league in 10 yrs. I just came back this year and I'm throwing a Columbia Freeze that was drilled in 2010. The ball still hits! Before my break from bowling, I was averaging 210. I'm currently averaging 195 after not having bowled in so long.

@@baseball_rocks yeah I'm not saying you can't throw an old ball and make it work but their performance drops significantly over time. If you're a good enough bowler though, sure you can make it work. Hell they used to have plastic ball tournaments and the pros still shot better than 200. But a new ball is always going to perform better and give you more error room
I love bowling Urethane in my league. I also love being a lefty and bowling urethane. The looks I get from others is priceless haha. But I could careless what others think of me.
The bags are a great idea. I am curious though, why ball companies are not making use of these bags? They pour balls and they go straight into a plastic bag and then into a box and then onto a warehouse shelf before being sold to distributors where they then sit on a shelf even longer before finally being sold to the consumer. By time the customer gets their ball, it will not react the same as the company who created the ball intended because the ball would have had time to harden prior to its first time drill. This also leads to every ball reacting slightly different than another one just like it that may have sat longer than its counterpart. Anyways... just some random thoughts.
I have been thinking of recording a game so I can look for my mistakes and watch my pin action in slow mode. I like the idea of the camera in between the lanes over the ball return. I might have to do that. No one is going to walk in front of it. Also that is a great Idea to store a bowling ball and help keep it fresh
Does the immortalizer have like unlimited use? Or does it wear out and you have to keep buying them? In other words if I put my new bowling ball in there is there going to be a point where the ball wears out? If so how long about does it last and can you reuse bag for other new balls?
Personally I’m a southpaw I will throw whatever works I don’t give a crap if someone hollers at me if urethane’s working then I’ll use urethane if reactive Rozen is working then I’ll through that hell if a plastic ball is working then I’ll throw that
First game and second game with The Spy was 256 and 220 what a great ball. This ball is just what I was looking for. Thanks for making that video with it!
Are you throwing it two handed? I ask because I bought the same ball due to having issues with my balls overly hooking when I transitioned over to a 2H bowler. It definitely doesn't hook as much as the other balls I own but it's still not exactly what I was expecting. It definitely hooks if your rev rate doesn't match your speed which is the issue I'm faced with. I *MUST* figure out how to speed up my shots by 2-3 MPH or I'll have to go back to my one handed conventional release.
@@2FingerBowlers Yea that's how I throw it as well and I haven't bowled very well with it yet, but to be fair I've only put about a game or two total on it since I picked it up a few weeks ago. Was having to move much further left then I'd expect with a plastic ball but again.. my speed is not where it needs to be. If I had to guess my rev rate is near 400 as a two hander and my speed is only 14mph. I need to get that up by at least 2 to 3 mph for my two handed release to become more effective. Until then I struggle with my balls overly hooking and crashing head first into the nose and leaving splits like crazy.
I bowl in a traveling league. All in small 4 or 6 lane clubhouses where we never quite know what kind of conditions we will find. The Spy has saved my butt a couple times when the lanes didn't seem like they'd been oiled since the Flintstones were there.

@@PowRKord I understand that, but people in my generation get bored watching good bowlers throw 90 percent strikes on a house shot. I actually enjoy a challenge and bowl only in sport leagues now. I guess that's why I'm an old-school bowler. PS - I think The Toe would do quite well on a flat pattern.
@@OldSchoolBowler One could compare today's house shot to the late '70s-early '80s Pro shot when Holman, Roth and other crankers ruled the lanes (without the use of loaded bowling balls.) The PBA "fixed" that around 1982 by 'taking away the shot' and/or changing the shot for TV finals, which resulted in things like Bob Handley shooting 151 from #1 at Firestone (he threw a spinner & I saw him miss the 5 pin by his ball backing up (I always felt he missed it to prove a point.)) Yes, as a modern 'track player' the Toe would rule.
The last team I was on we had a player that threw a blue urethane hammer no body cared and tons of ppl were throwing the original pitch black it had just came out, and if urethane is working for league I’m gonna throw it screw everyone else they can deal with it, when I started urethane was the best you could get
Yeah Packy, this is not 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.
Depends on score at the end lol
If I don't fall down, I will NEVER foul...
the only ball that i have is urethane but i usally do good with my blue hammer on a house.
Hi Packy
cant stand people who cry about urethane on a house shot.....last time i checked this was America. bowl however you want
It is what it is, let the lanes change and adjust to what happens! That being said every once in a while I might let a complaint slip out 👀😂
isnt he on wsu's bowling team?
picked me up an immortalizer
