I love how when you were talking about how friendly and affectionate the Mexicans are, there were kids playing with each other in the background. Perfect example, even from a young age! Thanks for sharing the differences so fun to hear! We hope you both have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Love you friends! ❤
Hola amigos, we didn't even realize that until now that you pointed out 🫢. Thank you so much amigos, and we hope you are having a fantastic 2024 so far. Looking forward to meeting you again soon 😍🥰🫶
It is so interesting, and it quite nice to see that there are quite a few South African- Mexican marriages. Do you guys live in MX, SA or anywhere else? 🙏❤️🫶
So Jason and I are a mixed couple but both Americans from TX (he's Mexican/El Salvadorian, I'm white) and there were so many little things with us even i can only imagine with different countries. But we put hot sauce on EVERYTHING too Jason's Mexican influence (lol), we eat with forks mainly, but his dad and most of his family eat with tortillas, I'm barefoot all the time Jason wears shoes inside.... Lol my brother in law is Portuguese and they've been married 18 year (he's been living in the US) but there used to be SOOO many of these little things that were so different.
I find it interesting which habits and traits end up becoming the norm within inter-cultural relationships - hahaha, the hot sauce thing became a real addiction literally over night 🤭😅 There is nothing better than walking around with no shoes on, I love it - haha sometimes Geovanny will do it too and he doesn't mind it too much 🤭
I am also married to a Mexican. We are moving to Mexico in a few months. I wish I new I wasn't suppose to change my name because I had alot of papers ro get appostilled.
Awesome you guys must be excited for the move. We understand, this is one of the main reasons Simone has not changed any of her papers. Wishing you the best on your move. Sending all the best vibes 🙏🏼❤️
Hot sauce, pickled jalapeños, corn tortillas and ketchup are essentials. I almost went crazy when I visited UK and Spain bc one of these essentials was missing 😫. I’m Mexican-American so that’s why I include ketchup. I wish they would’ve given examples of the dark humor that they mean 🤔
Absolutely! When I (Geo) lived abroad, I really missed the flavors of Habanero Chile and other things from my childhood. Speaking of dark humor, it often involves joking about death or disgrace, and we tend to see it as a form of humor. However, it can be insensitive for people who are not familiar with it from our country.
I am mexican American . We were raised with my parents Mexican customs . My husband was born and raised in Denmark . I Can relate to this very much . I don’t think people realize how different customs and traditions can sometimes be hard in relationships . That being said we’ve been together for over 20 years lol we have a daughter and that’s been pretty crazy taking the best of all 3 cultures and make it work lol
Definitely, the culture difference can play a huge roll in relationships but we do not realise them until they appear in our day-to-day living. Oh my.. She must be very proud of having such a amazing background roots. Thank you again for watching our video and commenting. Sending you all the great vibes 🙏🫶
I love all your videos, you are very real and candid about your life. Not everything’s pink and roses and you share the good and the bad which is the way life is for everybody. Keep up the good work.
Ah thank you so much Griselle 🫶🤗 Ya, we never want to make things seem like everything is perfect because no one lives a completely struggle-free life 🤭 Thank you so much for all your support and we're wishing you an amazing 2024 🎉🥳
This is a brilliant video! So great to connect with you today. Thank you for sharing your experiences. For everyone else I’m Sunny, an Australian married to a Mexican. There is so much we can learn from becoming a little bit Mexican ❤
It was awesome to connect with you too Sunny 🥰🤗 I'm so sorry for the major delay on responding to your comment 🫢 If anyone watching this video is married to / dating a Mexican, join the community that Sunny has created on FB - facebook.com/groups/174904762219760 🫶🇲🇽

Omg so funny. I’m Aussie and was once living in Mexico with a Mexican. My goodness.. the fights. Generalising as I’m sure not all Mexican men are the same but my ex must have been very macho.. My ex was horrified when he realised I went to a man Dr for female things.. More horrified when I went to get a wax and that was by women. Taking something off his plate to try was something he didn’t get. Generally being an independent female, he didn’t get 🤣. He did come to Australia and then he got it. But I realised he was still very macho and that wasn’t for me.. bye bye but what a great experience I had dating him
*Hola* Jeffrey, we are sorry for the late reply we're slowly catching up all of our messages, comments, and emails. We hope you are having or had a great time in PDC. If you are still here these are the tours we highly recommend 🙏 gyg.me/sANZ15CC Saludos amigo ❤️🤩. Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️
Merry Christmas 🎉 but shoes in house is a terrible idea unless you spray and clean under your shoes. What Contaminants Do Shoes Bring Into Your House? One University of Arizona study found many harmful bacteria on the inside and outside of shoes. Among the bacteria found was E. coli, which can cause intestinal and urinary tract infections, meningitis, and diarrheal disease
Very interesting. Marriage on its own is challenging enough never mind additional country and cultural differences. Congratulations and well done! Not all South Africans like the sweet so much and that’s more of a family or personality thing I’d say. I actually thought the opposite that South Africans weren’t so animal mad especially with dogs as we kept our dogs outside the house and they were more functional vs what I saw in N America where the pet is like a member of the family. I think it differs between individuals again. Mexico is also a different level with dogs and it differs between people and families from what I’ve seen. I agree that these things open your mind to more possibilities and none is wrong or right just different.
Definitely, Simone has done a great job adapting to Mexico but definitely there are still some things that she struggles, but slowly she has been adapting. Thank you Allyson for watching and commenting ❤️🙏🏼
Question? If I am a temporary resident in MX can I start a youtube channel? Or do I have to get permission from immigration? Would I then pay income tax to MX or US? (Don't know the first thing about starting a channel, but thought I may want to learn at some point).🎉 thanks!
Hola Kat, 👋 Absolutely, but as a temporary resident you will have to get a work permit (permiso de trabajo) and go to SAT (Revenue Center) to determine which tax regimen will you establish your income taxation (We use *_Regimen Simplificado de Confianza_***). If you are a permanent resident you do not need to get a work permit as the ***_Permanent Resident_* has it already. 🤩 We hope this information helps, by no means the below information is a legal advice, we always suggest check this with a professional, such as an immigration lawyer &/or accountant 🙏🙏
@ForTheRoadTravels Ok, but can I try out making a couple videos first to see if this is something I even want to do and like to do (supposed to be retiring 😊) before going through with getting a permit?

Interesting that in South African culture they probably more affectionate to animals than people.
Totally, they LOVEEEEEEEEEE animals, even more than people as you mentioned 🫣
It stays males last name.
