A guy I just started dating showed me Prom, and it was the most healing thing. I love it so much. It helped me feel more solid in my sexuality and gender identity. The themes about not having accepting family hit insanely hard, and I definitely cried pretty hard during multiple parts.
i love the prom so much. It is the first musical I saw where there were out and proud lesbians. I’ve been out and proud for almost a year now. “unruly heart” never fails to make me cry. It’s such a wonderful portrayal of the feelings we feel. My town is very homophobic and republican so I’ve always been afraid to be myself. I truly relate to Emma (the main character). Thank you for making this video! I truly love this show so much

My first time at my current drama school (about a year and a half ago) it was mid covid. The first rehearsal in person, we learnt to sing unruly heart and learnt to dance to its time to dance

I’d reeaaalllllyyyy like to see you react to some of the songs from the show “Violetta”. It’s originally in Spanish, so preferebly the original Spanish songs since they give an idea of the actors voices. Some of my favourites are: - “Veo veo” - “Si es por amor” - “Are you ready for the ride” - “Ser mejor” - “Vieni e canta” which is one of the few original songs that’s in Italian (since the cast includes three Italian actors) - And above them ALL: “Encender nuestra luz” which I just love, love, LOVE. This musical means so much to me, I decided to come out to my parents a month after I was introduced to this musical, and "Unruly Heart" gave me the courage to do that. I'm really happy that this story is getting more recognition since the movie came out, when I would talk about the musical before this winter, no one understood what I was talking about. I’d reeaaalllllyyyy like to see you react to some of the songs from the show “Violetta”. It’s originally in Spanish, so preferebly the original Spanish songs since they give an idea of the actors voices. Some of my favourites are:
- “Veo veo”
- “Si es por amor”
- “Are you ready for the ride”
- “Ser mejor”
- “Vieni e canta” which is one of the few original songs that’s in Italian (since the cast includes three Italian actors)
- And above them ALL: “Encender nuestra luz” which I just love, love, LOVE. Such a happy song😂

She’s a Swedish singer who’s done a lot of musical theater with Björn and Benny from ABBA! Her performance of “Du måste finnas” (or the English version “You have to be there” ) is one of the most powerful performances I’ve ever seen
