Autonomous Taxi Vehicles in San Francisco - The Future for Other Cities?

In August 2023, Cruise and Waymo were approved to expand autonomous taxis in San Francisco, California. A lot of events happened right after this approval. I talk about the good, the bad, and my own thoughts on the debate. Also, is this what we can expect for other cities that will soon have autonomous taxis?

Humans will always have a high error rate when driving. Autonomous vehicle technology, while it may be in the ballpark of human error now, will continually improve. Eventually, like chess bots, they will be so good as to be beyond the capabilities of even the best human drivers. Just patiently enjoy seeing them improve year over year.
