2018 RAM 3500 owner adds every Banks part

  • Alan drives for a living. So every modification he makes to his 2018 RAM 3500 6.7L High Output must either add power, increase fuel economy, or both. Recently, the Texan turned to Banks for performance parts for the blue dually. But he didn't just add an intake or exhaust, he went full-tilt and added every part available. Here's his review.
Parts included in Alan's build can be found here:
    Ram-Air cold air intake
Monster Ram Gen 2 intake manifold with high flow heater
5" Monster Exhaust with chrome-plated stainless steel SideKick tip
Intercooler system with high-flow boost tubes
    Ram-Air rear differential cover
    PedalMonster throttle booster

Usually if I try to squeeze into one spot with my dually, it makes the doors of vehicles facing me on both sides inaccessible. I just park way at the back anyway. Easy. Walking 30 yards is never the end of the world, and I consider it a small inconvenience of having a big truck in a parking lot designed for cars. Mine is a work truck, but even if I didn't need it I'd still have a big 3/4 srw anyway.

Basically this guy is saying he was getting terrible mileage and a miracle happened when he installed the banks equipment. All right now thanks has quality products but this is ridiculous his stuff isn't magic and you're not going to gain 10 mi per gallon even if you deleted your emissions you're still not going to get that. The feeling of the truck being lighter is only because you're commanding more throttle with less push of the throttle pedal therefore you think it has more.

If you get out of Cali & into another state that doesn’t require emissions testing. A state that only checks emissions or an inspection every time ownership is changed you can get away with a stealth DPF delete by just running a tube in the center of the DPF or just doing what people did to pre-DPF diesels that came with a cat but never got tested/they would just make a hole in the center of the cat.
A DPF delete is easy to do, now getting it to pass emissions is the tricky part. Depends on ur state.

480,000 miles 2015 RAM Cummins 2500, 4x4, 4 door, 6speed stick, camper shell, LED lights FRONT, BACK, SIDE & Yellow Fog leds, 2nd clutch, 3rd set front pads, 2nd set back pads, 2nd set emergency brake pads. DELETED and factory rims/tires since new. Firestone Transforce 275-70-18 LT 10ply... 17 sets at $150-200 per set of 4 new take offs.... alot of Firestone skinny HT aka Highway tires being sold because of FAT TIRE Upgrades. I have my original HT351vgt turbo, but I don't use the brake at all since Deleting at 78k Why? BREAK pads cheaper than a turbo repair/replacement. Oil changes 5k filters 10k. Transmission/Transfer Case/Both Diffs 25k, 100k change BRAKE fluid, coolant & power steering ATF fluids. DELETED no HP tune, stock tune. I get 27-33mpgs on FREEWAYs and my oil is CLEAR & CLEAN till about 5000 miles when it starts to get grey. I change it. I tapped 2 .25" drain holes into the DIFF covers and I use Faucet rubber washers for draining. In the city I get 19-22+ mpg depending on the roads, hills, traffic, potholes etc. Off roading frequently (beach, desert, mountains, forest roads) I get between 9-15+ mpg. But most of all I get my break pads changed for $60-80labor/axil vs. using my Turbo as a breaking system. My turbo is original, and at 100,000 service, I clean out the HOT BLACK carbon side with BBQ CLEANER 2x/cold. Kind like the BIG RIGS cleaning out their DPF with the carbon foam.... I'm super happy with 2nd clutch at 350k, stock replacement, not upgraded. Happy with the MPGS and the CLEAR CLEAN OIL... and the minimum maintenance. I do Fuel Filter changes at 10k with RETAIL DIESEL FUEL, but at 3333 miles when I Use RED DIESEL aka Heating oil and off road Diesel.... just to be safe... and over the BIDEN Administration I "hedged my fuel costs" by contracting for EPA Recycled Heating oil, $1-2/gallon.... federal laws....
