I remember when I was going into 3rd grade in 2016, I saw one of these on Amazon and it said currently unavailable and I got very upset with it because I loved the design of these. I’m now going into 11th grade and now I understand why these didn’t sell very long.
This fan moving drastically more air with just the 5 wing blade is the same story with the other one that you already have. It’s the same situation with that black model you made videos of a while back. And despite the abysmal airflow with the second blade on there, it’s actually a decent fan considering how powerful it is with the single 5 winger. These are fairly similar to the HASF-1515 and HASF-1516 16” pedestal fans like the one I have in my collection. Sure, they are noisy but they are still fairly powerful and perfect for a hot summer for those who don’t mind the extra noise. I’d say these are 1/2 decent.
That’s right, still remember seeing them online in the past. Had you not mentioned the Sunbeam versions, I would’ve completely forgot about them altogether.
My Aunt used to have the 2cool fan, but it was the HAOF-612, and it definitely wasn’t the best quality fan and didn’t move all that much air. The balance also wasn’t that great. She got rid of it a long time ago (I think over 12 years ago) and replaced it with a 16 inch Lasko oscillating stand fan, which, of course had much better airflow and was much better balanced. It’s a shame that Holmes would make such a total gimmick out of something that may seem like a good idea, but then the performance of that product ends up being totally abysmal because of the idea not being executed properly.
I thought it was interesting how these used the same base and motor assembly as their 80s and 90s models. The NIB one I have says on the box that these have a GE motor.
I do remember seeing notes about the GE motor somewhere on one of the ones I have also. I suppose that would put these a little higher up on the quality ladder. It really is a shame the good motor was paired with such a ridiculous blade setup.
I had several of these back in the early 2000’s and actually enjoyed them. Unfortunately, the motors burned out after less than 10 years. Then again, I moved to another City and left these with my family and they Never cleaned them. They killed a lot of my fans.
this is unrelated to this anyway I asked a Lasko support hero about the unbalanced fans they said it is normal for it to happen. that is a huge bismo tell me what you think
@@JordanU it’s ok basically typos are here sorry, but my childhood friend had the same fan n the garage whn I’d go over as a kid but the large blade here was the same size as the small blade on his I think
I never liked that product Holmes they make horrible products. That fan looks odd to me . I would never buy their products. I hate that product. The same way I feel about vacuum cleaner products like Bissell Dirt Devil and Dyson.
These fans were from my childhood that I remembered seeing and it brings flashbacks to 90's style of the fan but modern with colors and blades.
Thanks for letting me know.

I think these were long gone by then, I remember these selling around the 2004-06 timeframe.
I'd think they'd have been long gone by 2016 as well.
Good initial checkout video of this Holmes 2 cool Table fan it definitely increases airflow with a single blade set I enjoyed it bro
Glad you enjoyed it.
Much better without the second blade set which was a hindrance to the air flow bro now that your using a one blade set its going work well this summer
I agree that second blade doesn't do any benefit. I will definitely be using it only with the one blade.

They also had a white 12” Sunbeam model that used only the 5 wing blade.

I've seen some pictures or a video of the Sunbeam one. Would be interesting to find.

I got the same fan from a yard sale super cheap and it’s a bit louder than other fans I have with the knob in the back.
Thanks for letting me know.

I have the last of these classic Holmes table from 2007 which is the same fan as this one but in black and without the 2nd small blade
That is a much better design.
@@JordanU I'm trying to sell it and I was wondering if you would be interested

Not good.
You have to take both guards off to quiet it down lol, these blades are nice especially the 16” models, I think I have 4 of those now, somehow.
I figured the rear guard would make quite a bit of noise considering how thick and dense the plastic is.
@@JordanU for sure
yes they look interesting but they dont move that much air
Correct.
this is unrelated to this anyway I asked a Lasko support hero about the unbalanced fans they said it is normal for it to happen. that is a huge bismo tell me what you think
It may be normal in the sense that all the fans Lasko makes are like that, but it's certainly not the way it should be.
@@JordanU hey also is there a way to contact you regarding some of my fans
also im a huge lakewood fan person
and im starting to collect fans
There is 13 days until June
That has nothing to do with the video.

You should buy a modern fan and compare it to these older ones.
I stills dont get to this day the idea of using two kind of blades Amazon basics have one DC fan with two blades.
It's a sales gimmick. These companies don't care if the product works well, the only care is that the product sells.
Cool fan I to think it would look better with out the little fan
Great video do you think you could do a video on the Patton U2-1872 high velocity fan
❤😊😊

this felt more like a beta product. Sounds good on paper but in reality, it just makes it aerodynamically worse.
It's not even good on paper, it's a complete aerodynamics disaster. It seems like something that was designed by the marketing team.
