Removing ABS and Throttle cut from G37/370Z (Second step to drift/burnout)

- This will allow you to do a burnout and keep brake light function.
This is my second video on how to prepare a G37/370Z to drift. I figured out a lot of this from just watching videos on how it was done on the 350z talking to people that drift and also by referring to the FSM for my car.
When you go into the FSM looking for what wire to cut and the connector you will be looking under the (EC) pdf. file that is your engine control section.
on my year model the (connector layout) was on page EC-529 and the (wire) was on page EC-540 pin 122 (pink) the wire will always be the stop lamp switch input.

I did everything u did on the first and this video but my G wouldn't go sideways at all it's like the abs was active the entire time any reason you would know why?
Your my freaking hero... do you need to delete yaw sensor or whatever its called? Trying to take my g37 to a drift event in a few weeks.
Yeah just unplug it I have a how to on it as well. If you don't your traction control will kick in right after you initiate a slide.
Can u do the second step without doing the yaw sensor

thanks man this helps a ton, I'm gonna be drifting my g37 this season. Does pulling the stop lamp switch wire kill your brake lights though? I wanted to leave it out when I'm street driving the car too so I can heel-toe downshift properly but I sorta need my brake lights
You keep your brake lights if you clip that wire.

can you simply just remove stop lamp and that will fully disable vdc?
Did the break lights and turn signals still work after doing this?
Great video , but on my G35x 2007 the blue fuse link ain't the same like yours , mine is 40 - 30 - 50 amp ( pwr wdw/vdc/vdc) so I tried by removing the 30&50 amp and the still coundlt do any burn out or the SLP still kicks in
This video is for a g37 g35 is a little different i have seen a few out there that might help you. I thought x was awd?
@@gillgath yes the X is for the AWD , I managed to find and install a switch to turn it on or off from a flick of a switch , but can't seem to find a way to do the same for the ABS/VDC control

Do u loose your brake lights when cutting that pink wire?
Is it two wires or 1?
Having some troubles finding a service manual for a 2018 370z, any chance that it's the same wire as your car's?
I'm not sure to be honest. If it was me I would unplug the connector check and see if the wire colors were lining up with what this year model has and give it a try its not to difficult to butt splice or solder the wires back together if it doesn't work. Or if you want to be 100% sure before hand see if your local Nissan dealership has the manual and will tell you if that is still the stop lamp switch wire. Once you figure it out revisit the comment section and let others know if it worked for ya.

The pink wire is for the car not to go into limp mode after fuse removal? Cause after I pull and fuse, it just won't rev.
You probably cut the wrong pink wire there are multiple ones the one you are supposed to cut is for the stop lamp switch. Revisit the fsm and go to the EC-529 and EC-540
Same thing happened to me and I’m 100% sure I cut the right wire it was the only one and I’m in limp mode
G2 is the pink wire

G35 is a different engine so its similar but different.
what does second one from the left and second one from the bottom mean I dont understand which ones to cut
The pink wire on the back side of that connecter. Pop that cover off and look at the orientation of the wires in relation to the way I was holding the plug and explaining it flip it over find the pink wire that correlates to that slot snip it. If you don’t feel comfortable with snipping it don’t do it buy a tuner to delete it.
