At the beginning, Somewhere was explaining how she invented the Aeropress for coffee, made her millions, and now can spend the rest of her days roaming the trials like Kane from Kung Fu. It all makes sense now.
Alan Adler in drag?
Birdcall is an excellent artist. Yay for Hyperlite! Great video, excellent views as always!! Keep rocking it RR!!! I always carry zipties when backpacking, camping, hiking etc. Thanks for taking us along with you on your journey! Happy Trails!!!

That's great that Hyperlite is replacing the pack due to manufacturing error, a good stand-up company. Yes, you should have a small set of zip ties, I carry 4 12" zip ties and 8 6" zip ties in my repair kit, they can be very useful for quick repairs on gear materials or first aid applications where duct tape may be less effective.
1:40 You might want to keep your bear canister beyond Truckee. You need it in Lassen Volcanic National Park too if you want to camp. 👍
Bird call is a very good artist. Glad he's finding time to paint. Well if the van was going to over heat, at least it was close to trail. Glad they did the right thing and are going to replace your pack.
Glad you got to spend a bit of down time and great trail magic fromtheir family. Also glad to hear that Hyperlite stepped up and is sending you a new pack. Great company, great gear. Happy trails.
Sounds like: Toy Ya Bee 😎
take a few minutes looking at zip ties and you will find you can release and reuse them in a pinch
Give it up for Hyperlite!! Hike~~On~~>
0:22 I love my AeroPress! Best way to make coffee.
Toy yah bee
Should talk about plans after hike. Other trails etc.
Yall are moving right along... Great customer Service to replace your pack like that.
Glad backpack was resolved satisfactorily. They should sponsor you!
Morning, Juliane, How nice of Bird Call's parents to meet you at KMN to spend a little time with the tramily. Looked like ya'll had a great breakfast to start your day. Good to know Somewhere was with you again. 14 miles on a day you started lare. That's great. Ya'll are doing so well. Love the views of what you're seeing. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
New backpack! That is awesome! Love their willingness to take accountability!!
I switched (after 200 miles) from a Zpack pack, to Hyperlite. I had a defect right before using it and they sent me two packs!
What a gentleman! Willing to stop for you two ladies! 🤣😂😅
As always Roadrunner, thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. I’m certain that you have made friends for life! I’m still very close to the ones I hiked with years ago. There is just something special in the connections made on any trail. Be safe wherever you are. Godspeed!✌️🙂💚
Hot Devil? No way, you’re an angel!😇
Good choice on the bear can. Loads of bears between Sonora and Tahoe.
Life is hot 🥵, LETS GO!
Yay for Hyperlite!!! ❤
You always seem excited to get back out on the trail!
I’m glad you got the pack problem ironed out.
A new pack and a new tent in your future. You must be loving life.
So I'm wondering, does it ever get truly warm in the Sierra? I mean, we are well into June and you guys were dressed for winter. What about north of the Sierra? Maybe colder is better than hotter? Just wondering.
I was just up there last Saturday
Hi! I’m hoping to hike this next year, what temp are you guys walking in now!??
Great plug for Hyperlite! Good on them.
Truckee...you're getting closer.
New backpack!
The trail leaving the Sierras looks like desert once again. True or False?
I'll let you know once they leave the Sierras 😀
False. That area is partly volcanic. It's still 8,000 to 10,000 feet altitude.
@@T_Mo271 *Elevation* itself does not exclude an area from being a desert ;-)
It's a high alpine ecosystem with pine and minimal underbrush, which is very similar to a desert environment. Summer nights are chilly, days are hot with radiant sun heat. This is still the Sierra range for another~300 miles and then abruptly switches to the Cascade range and the rock switches to mostly andesite and is much younger volcanoes. Further north the fir trees take over and there is lots of undergrowth, even some segments of "green tunnel."
Are u guys losing weight. Seem skinny.
