Congratulations on your Finds!!! Nice to see you find those 2 extra V's and a DDO, love the Canadian pennies also. Great job, I know it's a lot work, Thanks 😊
Very interesting hunt Rob. You have actually nudged me into buying the two volumes of Canadian Small Cents since i find them in boxes and storage lockers. You sure found a bunch in the New York boxes as you predicted. Thanks again for posting! Happy Hunting! Stephen
Did a box myself today in eastern Oregon. 12 wheaties (1940 oldest), 412 coppers (2.8 pounds), lots of 69-s minted lol, and... SOOOO many 1979 pennies 😲(Birth year), 7 canadians, and a six pence. Hope this helps people who are wondering the averages. Oh, also had a couple from the 60's that had super high luster. Nice hunt!
I had a box a couple weeks ago I think someone had an older copper dump in I found 5 rolls worth of 60s-80s that looked brand new amazing luster and detail
Another awesome video Rob!! Love watching you hunt coins because I learn something I didn’t know every time, like key dates and varieties and you tell us how much you think the coins are worth and a lot of other channels do not tell you the value of the coins that they find. But watching you hunt junk silver coins are my favorite videos to watch. Keep up the good work bud and I hope that you start feeling better again really soon. Can’t wait to see a new video buddy.😃👍🪙
Really good hunt Rob. I didn't know about 2015 ddo 001 or the 1980 ddo. Now I have to go through my Penny's and look for them. Thank you for sharing your penny Hunt's they are very informative and helpful. Your the reason I got back into coin collecting.😊
I may be taking a road trip to New York or Philadelphia one day soon, it's the only way that I'm gonna find any P Mint coins on the left coast. Good hunt brother, and thanks for sharing.
Wow - two 2023-P "VDBV" varieties - a 2015 DDO - a ton of wheaties and a boatload of Canadians! Those were two sweet boxes! And I have found a couple of the 1980-P DDOs, so they are out there. And I know I asked you about the 82-P bronze DDO - as PCGS does recognize it - any plans to add that to the mat? Another great video!
A book isn't a bad idea - if you could get images licensed from Variety Vista... One of my side gigs is publishing books (I have published over 300 books)... @@RobFindsTreasure
loved that hunt lots of Canadians just some info the 1963 and 1964 Canadian pennies are the highest mintage of all the 60s decade so those are the ones you would most likely to find
Lol I was just telling someone the other day how it's easier to check the vdb under the scope if u tilt the cent a bit ...those 2023s have some glare!!
Yeah that's about par for my boxes. Usually get 2 or 3 vdb-v's in a box. Have almost a tube filled with them and also have 6 good ones in for grading right now. The Canadian Cents are also ridiculous. Copper also is about right. Good luck on the next 2 brother.
From 2002 through 2012 there were two different types of cents being produced - copper plated zinc and copper plated steel. Obviously I would expect the latter type, being magnetic, to be harder to come by for the same reason 1943 cents are hard to find in boxes.
@@RobFindsTreasureThanks Brother! Love your videos been thinkin about doing some as well like you. But i also love metal detecting like to see more of them to. I have found large copper cents some old silver and indians as well wheats so on. But i do find so much trash also but did find a button from the civil war very cool. Hey you ever found a floating head 2019 cent yet? I found one in a new 2019 roll that the head is more detached than the one on ebay
FYI 38% of all minted US pennies, are not in the United States, and that's a lot of coins. A lot of the Indian Head Pennies were carried off to Europe during WW1.
We used to get a fair number here in south Florida due to Canadian snowbirds, but I get them seldom now that Canada stopped making cents. Maybe some Canadians bring their saved pennies along to spend here, but now I expect that they just save them if they have any.
That's awesome. I've just started recently about a month ago and only average around 9 wheat pennies a box. A whole lot from the 60s im going to sit on. Are 2009 pennies worth any more? And what is the ring of a penny of way off as in real thick on one side and no ring on the other?
Good finds Rob! I found an interesting 1989 zinc penny the whole "IN GOD WE TRUST" Is missing also the L from liberty and the 9 from the 1989. I have a video on my channel when I found this penny in a coin roll. Can someone check it out and tell me if it's an error or just somebody messed with that penny?
Sounds like a grease error Wich is were grease is were the metal would be stamped but it stamps the Grease instead and the grease goes away leaving the letters blank I found one from 1994 nice find
@THECOLLECTOR-vx4xl Thank you for your response! I have a video about this coin on my channel can you take a look at it? Just to see if we talk about the same thing. Are they valuable? Have a great day!
I live in New York (hour north of the Bronx), but I've been really struggling to find Canadian pennies lately. Maybe I need to take a trip upstate closer to Canada haha.

Maybe. If I add too many I’ll need a hunting book. Maybe I should write one 😂

Awesome, Possum
The record for the 1979 in ms-61 condition commanded $207 at auction in 2007.

70 plus Canada Cents is crazy
Nice boxes Rob. I did a box of pennys and nickels yesterday. Found 12 wheats 1934 to 58 and found 22 59 and under best was a full horn 1936
Nice!!

Hi Rob!
Hi!
Nice upgrades and hunt good sir!
Thanks 👍
VBDV THE EAST COAST FAMILY 🎶
😂
I’d figure Hawaii boxes would be your favorite.
Well, I do like them too, but historically speaking, the NE boxes are always good.
👍
That '79 will probably come back as a 66RD at best - depending on the reverse. Just sayin'. ;)
yesterday i found a roll with 20 Indian pennies in it!
NO YOU DID NOT
BROOOO
Just got 2004 Lewis and Clark DDR nickel, and it also has a misaligned double press!
Keep those Canadian cents.Canadian banks are required by law to turn in their cents unfortunately.

Sad.
I have a 1992 close am looks like doubling on the back

✌️
What do you do with the copper once you collect it?
Where do you get your pennies from? Online? The store and bank where I'm from both say they don't have enough pennies
I order them from my banks.
I wonder if Rob's closet is as neatly organized as his coins?
👍😎👍
Is ta-boot your new catch phrase? Heard you use it several times in this video.😊
Im canadian. Our bank doesnt send their coins to the mint so we have 30+ dollars in mixed pennies if you want i can send them to you
Just realized I wasn't subbed
Hi first
💥BOOM! (and Hi!)

I noticed that you pull the copper pennies. Do you sell the copper to a third party?
You want some rolls from Maine?
Wht is on the 80 penny
