- Collection Dump - Roll Hunting Customer Wrapped Pennies
In this video, I'll be hunting a box of Pennies that is all customer wrapped rolls. I got these rolls from a trade with one of my subscribers Jim - after he told me that a couple has been bringing several wrapped coins to the bank and that he has already hunted one and it produced a lot of good finds. So obviously I was very interested and excited to do this hunt! The box was damaged in shipping and only had 45 rolls in it but despite the missing 5 rolls it was FULL of FINDS! I am thinking that this is either a collection dump or an attempt to help out with the coin shortage - hence all of the great finds.
I'll be hunting for Wheaties, Indian Head Pennies, cool foreign coins, copper and any error or variety cents.
When I hunt pennies I don't just search for Wheaties and Indian Head Pennies. I also am not just a Copper Hoarder either. I look for double dies, error coins, and other variety coins that could be hidden in the rolls. As you know - it's rare to find a super key date for any coin in circulation, so your best bet is to familiarize yourself with the error and variety coins as those are normally not as easily spotted and you can still find some GREAT FINDS out there.

With all those wheaties, surprised you didnt find the 1955 DDO.
That 36 is a DDO I seen it. I know it's too warn but if you look closely on the right of the one you see a faint re-punched 1 as well as to the right of the 9 which I noticed a really faint faint curve just like the one. Also nothing compared that hunt you had with I think it was 256 I think. The one where every single roll had almost 50 Wheaties in each I remember that video so well. I will put another comment for when I find the amount.

$4.38 last I checked. My stack went down about $1500-$1600 in value today.
Probably some people selling off some of their stacks for profit.
I heard a rumor from my grapevine, that silver going plummet in the next two years. People start dumping silver to make money instead of losing money keep your eyes peeled.
When you brought that '18 up.. I could have sworn it was a 1914 D as well! Literally, I gasped! And even after you magnified it and knowing it was an '18, several times to me, it flashed '14! That is a awesome hunt right there I sold a 1917 p d and s set to a guy the 17p was a ddo he sent in to anacs to get graded now I am about to list a bunch of beautiful pennies from 1938-1948

I've found some stunners and beauties of the Lincoln Memorial type but never this many in all the years I've been hunting.
My mouth waters looking at those AMAZING Lincoln cents and weaties. Plus, my collection would love some of those S mint mark west cents! Lol. Great hunt!!

Thanks for another hunt. I bought 5 rolls of 40s-50s wheat cents from someone I know locally who personally hasn't looked through any of them. They run of those We Buy Gold and Silver type things. They also sell quite a bit of bullion when they have it, they are supposed to be getting a few hundred ounces of .999 tomorrow from a customer. Thanks again.

It's been tough getting a box of pennies to hunt in my area, but I ended up getting 50 loose rolls from one banks as a pseudo box to hunt.
I ended up getting one roll that had 25 wheat cents in it, and another that had 33 with a grand total of 73 wheaties.
I also found two proofs, two king George Canadian cents, and two foreign cents.
Nothing as beautiful as you found, and only as old as 37, but boy did that have my heart going

OMG This my kind of hunt!!! People need money bad!! and when are you look at that Jar full of coins just sitting on the shelf and you don't have any bread in your bread box or any milk in your refrigerator you dump that jar of coins ASAP and feed the kids.
What's amazing there's not one steel penny in there.

I’ve always had abysmal luck with customer wrapped pennies but have great luck with customer wrapped halves for some reason. I think there’s a business nearby that uses them and dumps them at the bank because there’s no way a coin roll hunter would miss silver.

Wow, what a fun hunt to watch, definitely one of my favorite videos in a while, probably since the old bill hunt. It is my ultimate dream to find a wheaty as beautiful as those ones. I struggle with Wheat cents in my area, granite, I have not picked up a since box of coins. Still, searching a considerable amount of change for four years, and only coming up with four wheat cents, is depressing.
I've had my fair share of 2-5 wheat boxes so I feel ya. This was not a normal box for sure.

I could be mistaken but that nice 1945 Wheatie you found the 4 and 5 look like there's a shadow double in the coin
Exited to see more hunts! Love these hunts! I got a collection dump in customer wrapped penny roll on October 1st 2019.
It had 21 wheat pennies, 5 of them being steel. (All three mints for my book.) A KG 6, young head, and a Balboa cent. Oldest was 1917, 1929 S, and 1937. Lots of AU/BU and S mints as well. (Obviously not as good as yours xd.)
I've been going through all kinds of bank and customer rolls, lots of them. One day, hopefully I'll get something like you do. Doubt it though.
