FYI. When using. Panel bond. You need to stick it to the steel. Take the paint all the way off. You can add fiber glass resin with out the hardener to bondo to turn it into glazing putty. Hope these tips help.
I saw your car like 2hrs ago on insta and I loved the bodykit and wondered to see about the whole making process, now I've got this video on my yt start page... Just wanted to let you know I really love the style and lines of the kit, it really fits the car and looks kinda natural...
Welcome! The content here is much better than Instagram so i hope you stick around! I tried my best to keep the original look of the car with a very modern twist so it's rewarding hearing you say that about the kit.
It bugs me that the part behind the rear wheels didn't completely cover it. Critique aside i love how technology is allowing rapid but quality builds to happen.
Why didn’t you print the panel with some thickness so you could cut out the fibreglass, resin filling and hand finishing? I thought that would be the point of 3D printing. And if it wouldn’t be strong enough then 3D print a mold for the parts.
@@DingDongDrift Are you planning to just replace the entire front/rear end bumber or just simple cut parts of it and just bolt and glue it right on it?
loved watching it man, what thickness did you initially print the panels in? planning to do something similar myself, as i do cad surfacing for a living, just need to save a bit more for a 3d scanner and then i can get started :D
They're not flimsy, but they're flexible over a large distance. Once mounted on the car they're as stiff if not stiffer than OEM bumpers. If you check out the individual videos i talk about how surprisingly stiff the panels are just from being glued on the car.
I have watched all of the vids, and I meant before reinforcing them with fibre, I have no doubt that they're more than stiff enough once glued into place and reinforced with fibre :D@@DingDongDrift

That's good tips thank you!
A bunch of us are dreaming about the wide body SC. Grateful you took the time to make it happen✨
Share this so more people see what's possible with these underappreciated cars

As an sc400 owner I also understand the urge to do this! I am glad you did something about it!!
The lack of good and original body kits is a big problem with this car
You can use panel bond. And fill the edges of the panels. To help blend them into the car.
Did you mean panel bond?
@@DingDongDrift yes. Lol. Dam auto correct
Yo you inspired me to do my sc400! Happy to see this thing get some love
Hell yea man!
CASTROL SUPRA VIBES FR
Looks great!
You got good taste in music fr. Reminds me of School boy Q
this thing is SICK… what made you choose to go with those gaps by the tail lights?
I explained it in one of the videos, but you'll see in the coming months
Give it a front splitter and a rear spoiler couse right now it looks like it got stomped on
this is the hardest vid you've ever dropped. im looking forward to seeing the end result of this build more than the release of gta 6.
Idk man gta6 is gonna be pretty wild 😂
@@DingDongDrift true, but unless they put SCs in story mode, ur channel is definetly better lmao
@@rya1t thanks man, if you could share the video it would mean a lot.
@@DingDongDrift sure thing! i post it to my ig story
@@rya1t appreciate it man 🙏

@@DingDongDrift no just researching
@@dominicwood3750 oh ok 😂
I think it would look so good to modify a mk4 supra trd spoiler onto the back
Nah only original stuff here, no OEM anything
what material did you print with?
dude can i get a track list? love the tunes as much as the ride
Bird cage - Dylan sitts
Take my call - witchitaw slim
Gunshy - Nyck caution
That's all - witchitaw slim
Power - Cushy
Plz tell me u sealed the fender wells off camera
Nope
I wish vielside made a batter kit like the one Han had for his rx7 Tokyo drift. That changed the completely
that's where i'm going with this, in the end will look almost nothing like an SC400.
@@DingDongDrift then patent it and sell it to duraflex so i can buy one for $800 dingdong kit
@@RezSoxBaseball you can already buy the kit file and print it yourself from my website

Well that's not good lol i guess i need worse music

Thanks for watching, i don't remember exactly but i think the panels were around 3-4mm thick.
damn thats thicker than it seemed in the video, judging from the flimsiness i thought they were half that@@DingDongDrift

Even before they're reinforced I'm saying, simply just glued on, you could drive like that with no fiberglass and they'll hold up fine
2 layers of fiberglass bruh... why so much? 1 is enough🤣
There's different thicknesses of fiberglass
Yo make Me one for a tsx wagon
Probably could have put a bit of effort in to a front lip
Oh you think it's finished lol
