It wouldn't surprise me if the local importer doesn't even know what order numbers he/she will be getting. I don't know how this happens as Tamiya must know what stock is on a boat.

I picked up a 934 body and was going to buy an old TA02 chassis for it, you mentioned it can fit other chassis ? Any recommendations? Ps I love the Rothmans look.

I've driven mostly offroad and haven't had an onroad car since the early 90's.
I like the look of the 934 better than the Carerra and you seem to know what other chassis fit it, and more importantly where to find the bodies.
I want one, but I don't want a shelf queen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wasted 3 new bodies trying new paint that worked for a few days then it started to eat the bodies and they deformed 🤯😭
The Protoform VTA wheels and tires are still available in silver, white, and black "Maglites" with narrow and wide widths. Either of those would look fantastic on the Rothmans!
Where are the rally lights from and how did you mount them?
I think the rally body needs a chassis of it's own 😁😁😁

Have you ever tried liquid masking fluid. I use it a lot on my model kits. May make masking windows easy. Also ref head lights etc. Silver sharpie works well....liquid chrome pen even better. Kutgw
I tried liquid mask but I couldn’t get sharp edges at all. Not sure what I was doing wrong.

Liquid mask works good for masking off,it can still be fiddly to cut out your designs but if you apply it properly it won't lift while spraying m8😁Merry xmas to you and your family Gavin😁

@@RCKickschannel Thanks Gavin, Klinik is the only liquid mask I've ever tried,you do need a few coats though, a mate of mine said you can get the same results with pva glue watered down but I've never tried it as i always thought he was winding me up so I'd try it lol

Been looking for 1/10 scale, deep dish Minilites for myself, for my Mk2 Escort. Best I can find are Scale Dynamics Watanabe wheels. Problem is that they only take drift tyres.
That’s a shame as I’m looking to fit off-road chunky tyres

if you are looking for mini light style ; there used to be a Mini on a TG10 mk1 nitro back in the day ;) it was called a 1/8 mini but had a 1/10 chassis ;) might vbe a tad big for the front but would maybe be ok for rear

Tamiya Renault 5 Turbo runs the Minilight style wheel in silver. Not sure how they will fit up with the rear offset as they look awful on the Renault but maybe worth a try with a coat of paint.

Normally white is the back color on bright paints or black for darks. Why on earth did you back a backing color . Seems odd is all

Gav, Scale Dynamics make a Minilite replica, the Japanese Watanabe RS. They are in various offsets which work great for the wider rear. Count -3 from the high offsets they advertise. They use a strange measurement and they are really 3mm less than what you see. Hope this helps!
Actually looking at your finished rims and the "tall stance" that doesn't quite look to scale... Have you considered fitting M-chassis wheels with taller 60mm diameter tires? Besides all the usual Tamiya and ABC Hobby Minilites, Top line make them also with several offsets. I ordered +0 and +8 for my Renault 5 Turbo body.
Funny you should say that, yes I was thinking about the blue escort wheels and painting them. Wasn’t sure I could find tyres big enough that would fit
@@RCKickschannel there are also wider rear tires for M chassis. I believe I saw em at RC Mart iirc
@@RCKickschannel Then again, with a bigger offset filling the wheel arch (in a proper, proportionate way), maybe a wider tire wouldn't be that critical to have?

I would have thought the 45th would have come with the chrome rims
The rims on the car in the video are from the Tamico 10th 934. I didn’t remove the 45th set from the box as I knew I would replace them.
Great video. Pay more attention to electronic cables, too long and not well fitted. You may not complete it perhaps
These will never get more than a gentle run once or twice a year so are more shelf queens with electronics. I have other rc cars I run all the time. I also try to keep the electronic cables stock as I sometimes use them in other cars as well.
