    I found a post on the Tamiyaclub site covering this known issue. It's a little different but it can also help you fix this issue. www.tamiyaclub...

    Q1: Since the bodyholes arent precut, could you get away with leveling it out between front and rear?
    Q2: Why the hell do they release a 45th model with such a fundamental flaw?

    Good job Gavin! Very neat & well explained. Probably neater than mine! I feel I cheated... On my black edn 934 I measured that it needed a 6mm wheelbase reduction: 4mm front, 2mm rear. I chose to do 3mm front & 3mm rear so that only the arms needed modifying & avoided the added complexity of the gearbox & pins etc. Both the top arms needed just a washer or two. Then I simply bent all four body posts forward a touch to compensate for 1mm rear bias. I used 4x blue alloy 3mm spacers from the Avante spacer set.

    Thank you very much for the explanation. Wouldn't it be neater to get new shorter chassis plates made and somehow get a shorter drive shaft? Is that possible /available? Pros and cons? I'd like the fact that the whole suspension and drivetrain section would stay untouched... Custom carbon plates would be no problem, but the 4wd driveshaft ?

    • @RCKickschannel
      @RCKickschannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure you can do these things Simon. It all comes down to cost and effort. The mod I did cost me nothing over a few little bits from my parts bin really. I would say this mod is good enough for shelf queens and fun road driving but if I was racing this car at a track, I would be more inclined to go a different route as I would not be worried about spending £100 fixing this issue, but I would be looking at fixing a load of others at the same time. You can get a different chassis top and lower plate, as well as lower and upper arms and lower gearbox covers in alloy. That as well as a bucket load of other upgrades and mods that can cost you as much as the original kit.
