I keep being drawn up to the Lamplighters and it's pretty cover, you may have convinced me to finally pick it up. I have heard a lot about The Long Walk and Tender is the Flesh (and planned on picking them up eventually) actually but nothing about the other books.
Tender is the flesh scares me - it keeps coming up on my recommended books and I just can’t bring myself to buy it 🫣 if I were to recommend books that I’ve not really seen talked about - it would have to be anything by Laura Shepard - Robinson, all of Natasha Pulley’s books, All the Colours of the Dark by Chris Whittaker (top book this year so far - adored it) and the Eddie Flynn series (you think you know where the book is going and then the author drops a major twist)! Love that you always recommend books that aren’t always the usual book tok type
funny that the Long Walk is the only Stephen King that i've read haha, but i do believe it is one of his lesser known books. Tender is the Flesh is the only other book that i've heard of, so i think you did a good job finding hidden gems! thanks for the recommendations! i have an unpopular recommendation for you too. i know you like literary fiction and sometimes read mystery thrillers. this is a mystery thriller that reads more like literary fiction imo, so i think you might enjoy it! it's called Speak of the Devil by Rose Wilding. a man ends up murdered and 7 women whom he hurt in various ways are the prime suspects. basically a whodunnit, but it focuses a lot on how the guy hurt each of the women, and how they struggled and coped. (definitely check the trigger warnings though, it goes into some sensitive subjects.) thanks for the video! always looking forward to more! 💕
I tend to look for videos that have at least one book I've heard of because then I know their tastes, and it gives me something to interact with. But I appreciate this style of video too :)
The only one I had heard of was Tender is the Flesh. I looked up The Last Interview of Ada Fenn and found that the author has another book called My Wife Jodie that sounds interesting. They are both on KU so I have added them to my Kindle. Thank you for a great video 😊
Don't worry! I've only heard about 2 of them and have read none of them. Tender is the flesh sounds so weird, perfect for the coming season. Also added People of abandoned character to my tbr! Thanks for the vid❤
Girl your accent is so amazing I absolutely ADORE it

How To Be Dead is giving Beetlejuice vibes. 😂
Haha I totally see that 😅
Does my TBR really need me to add more books to it? No. Will I still watch this video and add some new books anyway? Definitely.
Oops 😅🙈
