All of it doesn't matter because money can make a car a little or a lot faster, all the way until something breaks, so a little incline isn't something to go crazy about. There's elevation everywhere to differ a couple 10th of a second between 2 of the exact same make and model. This is why drag strips also exist. @pettypablo

With the 10R80 auto, 7th is the 1:1 gear for top speed, gears 8, 9 and 10 are OD gears for fuel economy. Now if you had a SC with 800 hp 8th gear may give you a slightly better top speed but the OD gears are quite tall.

Actually going down hill doesn’t help at all. I’ve tried acceleration timing down hill in multiple newer muscle and sports cars. 0-60 down hill was no quicker than on a flat road.

I don’t think this was 7 seconds man. My 21’ gt500 runs a 60-130 in 6.96 (draggy verified) stock car, on a good day. No 5.0 even full bolt on tuned on e can keep up with me without n02 or some serious gutting and max effort built motor/cams/etc..
