I really wish they would’ve shown Taranis looking wildly different. They’re shapeshifters after all, and it would’ve shown the extent of how different their nature can be. Even Riven used to look like a dragon with sapphire scales at times.

There’s even some fanart on that too. As for the other thing you said, while definitely possible, I personally think it’s unlikely. I heard or read somewhere (it was a while ago so don’t quote me on this, I’d look it up if I were you) that Riven granted us the wish to slay a monster during the last wish, and she twisted her form into that of a monster, both feeding from the wish and granting it to us. That would explain her monstrous form that looks wildly different to how she used to look in the lore. There’s also the fact that Ahamkara are constantly described as having wings and their skulls we find are always reptilian/draconic including Huginn and Muninn in the Dreaming City and Hefnd’s giant skeleton in the dungeon, with the sole exception of Riven and Taranis. Ahamkara concept art is also really reptilian.
I love how everyone’s perception of Riven went from evil and corrupted wish dragon to a loving wife and mother, bitter for the injustice she went through and seeking vengeance on those who threaten her children
Taranis is the MVP (Most Valuable Parent) of all time. This man selflessly granted his own wish to protect his eggs/children. Watching this punched me right in the feels.

Mara wished for a unique power that only she could wield. Lastly, Riven desired to monopolize wishes. In the lore cards, she was just as culpable as everyone else. Because she could not deny her nature. Are we the bad guys? Not really no. But were certainly not innocent either. Even Riven's spirit has said her species might have survived had they been more Human. Taranis was an exception, not the rule.

It's nice to see that characters have complexity to them, Riven might be a wish dragon that grants said wish as she pleases but she is still an individual capable of love and longs for a companion. While we all know that Mara is a self serving powerful being but we keep her around as she is aligned with us even if we would clearly not approve of everything she has done or will do.
In an interview while talking about the new Episodes model they talked about how they wanted to keep more important moment in the game going forward. Now I have no idea what that means lol, but maybe they’ll change how the content rotates out of the game? Or maybe they’ll rotate older seasons/episodes/activities back (like they are already doing with Battlegrounds), no idea. But hopefully we’ll see an improvement under this specific point in the next year.

Not "the Guardian," but rather the Guardian faction as a whole is not all that heroic, it is moreso neutral in the grand scheme. The Guardian/player is the hero that hasn't done anything evil
Guardians are meant to protect the innocents and we are learning, bit by bit, that past guardians were working for their interest. The first time i saw that was when their was thid cutscene with saint 14 with like the face ouf devil from the perspective of the fallens. But surely our gardian always stay in the Light, killing only when the real deal is here like with oryx, ghaul ect...
Wow, when you see it from Riven’s perspective, the Great Ahamkara Hunt looked more like a racist genocide because a group of them made the rest of their species look like dangerous monsters.
Like Riven said, Taranis made sure those who wish from him actually got something good out of it. Which means a lot the Ahamkaras were probably assholes more than wishgivers. Still like IRL basically hunting a species to extinction is terrible

Gone and forgotten, more or less. They'd rather reuse the Last Wish design over using any existing descriptions in lore because it's cheaper and lazy, a perfect analog to what Bungie is nowadays.

A wish that good begets another oh Guardian mine we know that wishes can be granted simply by another's wish like with what happened with the curse cycle in the dreaming city where by wishing to kill riven we fell directly into her trap by removing her heart It's the same method but opposite we granted his wish to protect his brood therefore as a chain we guardians are granted a weapon to protect that brood
I don’t think that’s possibile anymore. When a Dragon fulfill his own wishes, he doesn’t simply die, he just stop existing, Riven said this in the last dialogue. Taranis was able to talk to us because his wish wasn’t still completed, but now? I don’t know if Ghosts can bring back something that stopped existing tbh.
