    My view is this. The Marin is a long travel trail bike (All Mountain some would say) where as the N9 is a true Enduro bike.

      Totally agree. However, after riding both I like the N9 better.

      That's a fair assessment! They are definitely worthy of comparison despite their differences.

    I totally agree about looking good to feel good 😂 I would choose the Alpine XR purely because of the nicer suspension. Suspension directly affects the quality of ride, drivetrain though... not so much. Having good brakes definitely matters also 😅

    My passion of biking is reborn after having N9. Riding it mostly in DH track.

    Both bikes look killer and both bikes are definitely capable of “eating up terrain” by the sounds of it. I do like a shorter wheel base for more fun as ive learned but I hear that Linkage on the N9 is 🤌🏽. Great vid and very informative by Jared as always!

    Good vid, still want to test ride a N9. I am super interested, but the paint scheme does leave something to be desired. My T8 is S3XY!!!!!!!

      N9 is one of those bikes you need to see in person, in my opinion. The rainbow overcoat POPS.

    I’ve had two frame warranties from Marin both my fault not the bike being weak and no questions asked exchanged.
    My LBS is 1.5miles from my house so Marin is the east choice for me. If they had sold polygon and the same accrued I’d choose that brand. Both nice!

    Polygon IMO N8E is the one that I have been researching for a while as my first EMTB bike, my budget can't exceed 5k.... Any recommendations? Thanks in advance...

    please someone explain the difference between the colossus n9 and the older siskiu n9 and is it worth upgrading?

    • @bikesonline
      @bikesonline  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The new Collosus is a bit longer in reach and wheelbase than the older Siskiu N9 and has a slacker head angle too. This makes the bike a fair bit more stable on faster more downhill/enduro oriented trails. The new suspension layout is a bit more supple too. The older N9 will be a bit more maneuverable and playful due to its shorter and steeper geometry.

    Just wish the Colossus came in more colors. What possessed them to launch it in that green color..

    I'd love to get the N9, but the XT hubs are holding me back as they're still loose ball/cone. 🤮
    Any possibility of working with Polygon to ditch the XT for something cheaper like Formula sealed units and taking that money to lighter rims???? :O

    • @bikesonline
      @bikesonline  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The spec could always change down the line, but for now that's what's included on the build.

    In 1st category depend on which country you live, in my country you can get Alpine Trail XR much cheaper than Collosus N9. Plus in my country you can get cheaper Specialized Status 160 or Nukeproof Mega 290 Comp.

      That's true! Location can definitely impact pricing!
