    Thanks for this video. I have had a flex shaft for years, but never really felt a need to use it. But recently I did find a use. After watching your video I was able to set it u correctly. I actually still had all the parts. Very helpful

    I appreciate it. I'm new at this, and you pretty much covered all the experiences I've had in the last couple days. The biggest one that got me was the locking button on the flex shaft. I keep thinking it's an on/off switch, so I press it, and it grinds. I'd like to have a way to turn it on and off on the tool. The other issue was the inner flex shaft itself. Mine pulled out, and I wasn't sure how to get it back in, which you showed. So thank you for making the video.

    I like your video. I hold the flex shaft between my Thumb and Index finger with the the Lock facing up so that way I won't be able to press on it. You had good tips that I did not know. Keep making some more good Dremel tips.

    You have inspired me. Carved many woodsprits and tried different type of wood too. Osage orange is beautiful. Slow down on hard woods. The burr list made the world of difference. Tha ks so mush for sharing. You have saved me money, time and frustration.

      Is it a dremel flex shaft? Do u use the square collet u get when u buy the dremel flex shaft?

    • @jeremyfugarino7901
      @jeremyfugarino7901 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CarvingFusion Yes Sir its a Dremel and i use the collet as well. It almost feels that the flex cable itself bottoms out into the Dremel and puts stress on the unit.

    • @CarvingFusion
      @CarvingFusion  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would pull the inter flex shaft write out and see if it's clean, and try again, it should slide into the square collet easy on the dremel itself then some times u need to move the outer shaft around so u can feel the inter flex shaft slide into the hadpiece itself before u screw ir back onto the dremel

    Why wouldy/does my Flex Sheft vibrate so bad when it's running. It's bad enough that it affects grip and control.
    I've unattached it and re-attached a couple of times. I've only used it about 2 hrs total so I'd say it's still brand new.

    • @CarvingFusion
      @CarvingFusion  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd pull the inter shaft out and see if it's bent? Also sometimes the bearings inside of them are no good from the factory , if this is the case take it back and get another, or contact dremel as they are very helpful and should return it for u and send you a new one

      They do. I use then on mine. Some people don't like to use the chuck because they say they don't get tight enough, but they have a place,(at the bottom of the chuck), to use the dermel wrench on if you need it tighter. Some just don't like the chuck but I use them all the time with no problems.

    • @evilevilrick
      @evilevilrick 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like a dirty switch. I don't know how old the dremel is, or you are, aging myself here, but in the old days when the TV channel knob had to be turned by hand to change channels, they would get dirty and not work right. We used contact cleaner to clean the channel dial inside the TV to clean the contacts. Don't know if that would help, but you might try spraying some contact cleaner into the switch and spin it several times. If you try this do it on an unplugged dermel and let the cleaner dry before you try it, unless the cleaner instructions say different. I don't think you would have to open the dremel, just spray some into the switch and rotate several times, but it might be necessary to get to the switch contacts. Not that hard to do. Contact cleaner is still available, used to clean plugs like stereo plugs from the amp to the speakers.
