This training facility just militarizes the police training not offering de escalation techniques that can just be taught at a frickin wear house or a parking lot. Joint training for police and fire fighters (what this facility provides) is a major progressive step in the direction of true public safety. So many times you hear of these departments being adversarial, which makes no sense, they have different responsibilities, but inevitably their first responder situations will overlap. Combined with reasonable call for reform of policing methods, this will lead to better, safer, responsible policing for everyone. You can't ask a PD to change it's response without them being able to train their officers for that.
Well there were fireworks blowing up all over and they can fuck your eyes up so I'm sure they weren't standing there eyes wide open. And when you are getting attacked by 100+ people ans you only have 4-5 let's see how steady your hands are... It was funny, but that's probably why it took so long. I know this is a little late as of now, but I used to work with the ATL Police Department, and was on site after the riot broke out. It was absolutely insane what they did for the sake of their own twisted "justice". Love the videos, hope to make it to the range one day.
This has been going on at that location for several months. Dekalb county #10 is right down the road from this location and it was attacked. They also responded to some brush fires in the wooded area and found trenches that were covered up with pungee sticks at the bottom. The brush fires were burning on the other side of the trenches. Theirs a youth center not far from there that was fire bombed because APD established it to help local kids. Several nearby new developments, houses, have been burned down. They’ve threatened the construction workers and their families, even interrupting their church services to further that threat. Two of those people arrested are from other countries. This is just insane how coordinated and calculated these groups are and other than local and state law enforcement, nobody else seems to acknowledge that these groups are terrorists.

I've personally had bad experiences and over time, they affected my perspective of law enforcement. The man helped me form a new, much better opinion of the police in general. It's always about the big bad police when in reality, they're the underdogs and more often than not the ones who are being put in stressful situations.
The insight Cody gives to videos like this one is very valuable. Like he often says he tries not to be biased and often sees things from both sides. if people dont like that they should go elsewhere or just mute the video instead of whinging.

While transparent accountability is a big issue, yeah training is a major problem.
Joint training for police and fire fighters (what this facility provides) is a major progressive step in the direction of true public safety. So many times you hear of these departments being adversarial, which makes no sense, they have different responsibilities, but inevitably their first responder situations will overlap.
Combined with reasonable call for reform of policing methods, this will lead to better, safer, responsible policing for everyone.
You can't ask a PD to change it's response without them being able to train their officers for that.

I know this is a little late as of now, but I used to work with the ATL Police Department, and was on site after the riot broke out. It was absolutely insane what they did for the sake of their own twisted "justice". Love the videos, hope to make it to the range one day.
This has been going on at that location for several months. Dekalb county #10 is right down the road from this location and it was attacked. They also responded to some brush fires in the wooded area and found trenches that were covered up with pungee sticks at the bottom. The brush fires were burning on the other side of the trenches. Theirs a youth center not far from there that was fire bombed because APD established it to help local kids. Several nearby new developments, houses, have been burned down. They’ve threatened the construction workers and their families, even interrupting their church services to further that threat. Two of those people arrested are from other countries. This is just insane how coordinated and calculated these groups are and other than local and state law enforcement, nobody else seems to acknowledge that these groups are terrorists.
You forgot they set fire to a private citizen's car while he was still inside. I'm glad someone else is pointing out that they aren't just fighting cops...they are actually traveling around town committing terrorist acts against citizens.

I've personally had bad experiences and over time, they affected my perspective of law enforcement. The man helped me form a new, much better opinion of the police in general. It's always about the big bad police when in reality, they're the underdogs and more often than not the ones who are being put in stressful situations.
