Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the twelfth major installment and the twenty-second release in the Assassin's Creed series, and a successor to 2018's Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Set in the 9th century, the player controls Eivor, a Viking raider and Assassin during the Viking invasion of Britain. The game is scheduled for release in late 2020 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia, and is to be Ubisoft's launch title for the next-generation consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
In Valhalla, the player takes on the role of Eivor, a Viking raider who leads their fellow Vikings from Norway in raids and battles against King Aelfred and the four Anglo-Saxon medieval kingdoms of England - Wessex, Northumbria, East Anglia, and Mercia - near the end of the 9th century as part of the Viking invasion of Britain. Additionally, the game will continue to tie into the modern-day events related Abstergo Industries' researcher Layla Hassan, who was featured in both Origins and Odyssey, and to the Templars and Assassins that have tied the series together.
Players will have the choice of playing Eivor as either male or female and are further able to select their hair, warpaint, clothing and armor. Combat has been changed to allow dual wielding of almost any weapon. The "Eagle Eye" mechanics are also expected to return in the form of a raven that will be Eivor's animal companion in the game. The player can use the raven to scout the nearby areas as previous avian companions had done in Origins and Odyssey. The game will rely less on a traditional leveling system and instead focus more on the selection of skills through skill trees selected by the player as Eivor advances through the game. Enemies will be rated based on the collection of skills. The skills trees will be similar to those found in The Witcher, Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Player choices through conversation or gameplay options will have impacts on the characters and their political alliances with other non-player characters.
A central feature of the game is the settlement that the player, as Eivor, will help build and lead during the game. Ismail described its importance as "a lot of what you're doing in the game world is, at the end of the day, going to feed into the settlement so that it can grow, it can flourish." The player will be able to direct construction of certain types of buildings which in turn provide benefits for gameplay. To build these structures, the player will need to lead the vikings on raids to collect resources. Naval combat will return, though more as a means of faster medium for travel for performing such raids, and for escaping after land combat, rather than in engagement with other naval vessels.
Valhalla is a single player game, but will include online components for the purpose of encouraging players to share their progress and creativity.

For anyone who tried this as described in the video and even tried calling in the longship to no avail, HERE'S ANOTHER OPTION:
1. go hide in the bush that he hides in
2. make a manual save
3. load that save
4. the enemy carrying the Tungsten Ingot will spawn in front of you! 👌🏿

This is exactly what I did a couple of hours ago. I average 1 tungsten ingot every 65 seconds on a PS4.

@@HighPotatoo It’s only crashed on me twice. Two of my friends told me they’ve had multiple crashes in no specific spot. Just random crashes for no reason. Probably has to do with overwhelming the ram somehow. Typical Ubisoft game, they always need work after launch. Pretty ridiculous with a single player game lol

I also want to say that I upgraded the Berserker shield and the Spartan Bow to Mythical without the use of Tungsten at the start of the game, but I don't know if that's a glitch or not but it made the early game before going to and after arriving in England much easier at low power(rank).

It's a little funny that they removed the crossbow from one of the Assassins Creed games to be more historically accurate but have metals in this game that weren't even discovered for 800 years after the game is set.

Just did the nickel one. Can confirm that you can travel there with your long ship and you *DO NOT have to clear the abby* to get this trick to work. Just go ahead and travel there. Once you're there, quick save, reload, and you should have the 5 patrolmen spawn.

For people looking for Carbon : I have the same method, I just go in Ledecestrescire at the crossroads above the pond near Offchurch. There's a patrol there, just kill them for 1 Carbon then save and load, rinse and repeat.
Edit: There's two patrol (meaning two carbon ingot!) south of Meldeburne and the fast travel in Grantebridgescire. They are at the crossroad near Ravensburg.

An FYI for anyone doing this. I received one of the diamond shaped runes off the Banneret. It was the "Chained Fury Rune" - Increase Attack after each hit (up to 10 times) not sure if this is common knowledge. I had been wondering how/where to get these particular runes.
Yes you can farm those guys for runes
Still works as of December 13th, and you can just save and reload right behind them on the road. Most times you don’t even have to move to assassinate the big guy.
Thanks a ton man. I was able to farm 50 of these in about 30 minutes. I somehow got the other mobs glitched down the road every time so I was able to get the guy alone every time.
This was one of the most effective exploits I have ever seen, on a PS4 Pro with an SSD it took me 15 minutes to fully upgrade all 3 of my bows... so now it's so easy the game is broken for me.
Even faster style of getting ingots:
1: make save file RIGHT NEXT to the enemy
2: keep yourself crouched all the time and pickpocket the target
3: run few steps back, next to the road
4: save the game and repeat
im doing this on pc and get 2-4 ingots in 1 minute (depends how fast i can make the save and load it)

If you assassinate the big guy, axe throw the archer, you can if you have skill unlocked throw the big guys sword at the guy carrying the ingot, also could even get a double assassination animation if they close enough while spamming the RB/R1 to do the axe throw. It can all be done within a second of each other and speeds up the process even further. So from 5 seconds can be down to 3-2 seconds.
*ATTENTION!!!*** SEVERAL LOCATIONS LIKE IN THE VIDEO WITH *ALL* INGOTS BELOW👇👇👇
1.Tungsten ingots:
1. ROAD LEAVING GLOWECESTRE NORTH- 2 GUYS ACCOMPANIED BY A *STANDARD BEARER *
2.ROAD LEAVING GLOWECESTRE EAST ( BOTTOM EAST ROAD ) (yes, the road in this video) 2 smaller soldiers usually accompanied by a bannerett
!!! UPDATE* NEW LOCATION
3.Road leaving Wincestre northeast headed towards Lunden look for 4 smaller soldiers with a Goliath soldier. Usually spawns around the synchronization spot on that road.

4.Hamtunscire Southeast and across a river from Wincestre at the Dertemor Bandit Camp east road leaving that camp on the road that goes across the river going towards Wincestre look for 4 little guys one 1 big guy.
2.Nickel ingots:
1. Road north of WULFASWIC (which is south ESSEX) this road runs east to west into Epinga forest one way and behind king Aesewine's tomb the other. If you find 4 SMALLER SOLDIERS with 1 GOLIATH SOLDIER. One of the smaller ones will have the Nickel ingot.
*New Location*
2.North Cent at the harbor fast travel This road runs east to west and curves off westward. Sometime its 4 little guys with one big guy sometimes its jus 5 little guys. (An easier way to think about it, its the harbor fast travel right below Wulfaswic's harbor fast travel. The (#1) other spot to get Nickel Ingots on this list)
Update! *New Location*
3. Folcanstan which is south Cent
Just fast travel to the harbor there and walk north on that road. Look for 5 smaller guys or 4 smaller guys and one big guy. (Easy way to think about this its the fast travel right below #2's fast travel on this nickle ingot list)

4. East Lunden road that runs North right beside the Bodilsburg Garrison.
4 smaller soldiers with 1 big soldier.

1.Grantebridgescire (East Mercia)
Road in between Earnningstone, Wandrie and Meldeburn look for 5 or more smaller soldiers sometimes all small soldiers sometimes one big guy.
These are only locations I've discovered so far.. please like so more people will see.
***keep roads clear of the dead or they'll usually stop coming.. hide them in bushes or generally out of sight.

It definitely works for anyone doubting, also doing it super fast instead of just taking the time and killing all enemies will result in more data corrupt saves also don't make too many extra saves either lost tons of hours figuring out how to avoid data corruption. Hopefully this helps.
Works great one slight improvement (for speed purposes) when they walk in formation just go behind middle guy with tungsten and 'steal' you get it with no violence then just go to the bush, rins repeat.

Okay, I am not usually one to comment on these kind of videos but this was very interesting and I did a bit of experimenting of my own.
As of today, for the PC version, these guys still do pop up (if, of course, you have gathered all the wealth from the region).
HOWEVER :
- You DO have to reload AND fast travel (I usually use Glowecestre) for them to respawn.
- For me, they do not spawn exactly at the spot mentioned in the video, but on the same road, a little further East, near Belas Knap. They respawn exactly at this spot, and they patrol the road from East to West, so I'm guessing the respawn is based on where you first discovered them in your version of the game. In any case, as they seem to patrol this road and always have the same path, you should be able to find the spot for your specific game. Unfortunately, if you're like me, it means it will add a little bit of travel time each time you reload your game, instead of the method explained in this video, where it only required reloading your save.
- There seem to be other patrols similar to this one, travelling various roads through the region. I was able to spot at least another one using the raven, and I'm guessing there must be several others. They are quite easy to detect as they are the only "travelling"/"moving" wealth points, easily spotted with said raven. Might be useful for someone having trouble reloading the game or making the patrols spawn back, you can do a little tour of the region each time you load your game (even other regions having tungsten wealth, I'm guessing).
I hope my own experience could help. Was quite fun figuring out all the little details of how these guys work :)
Thank you for this. I decided to assassinate the big guy first then chain assassinate the tungsten guy. Makes the farm super fast. Was able to save 20 seconds per load.
For some reason I just love the bannerets (sorry if I spelled that incorrect) I love finding them at random and testing new weapons on them also they are pretty easy if you don’t attack nonstop
They patched it. The dead bodies are still there after saving and loading or fast traveling.

idk why they have to ruin this type of stuff for us, there isnt even enough tungsten in the freaking game, and there is bugs that are actually important that developers could focus on, during times like this....it pisses me off that they ruin this stuff that is doing ZERO HARM... its because whiney POS's bitch about it!! I have always said if you don't like it, DON'T USE THE EXPLOIT!!! but no they gotta cry and ruin it for the people who want it.. people make me sick

The Glowescestrescire location for tungsten bars worked. Found the guards patrolling away from Glowecestre
I just got two.
Edit: Made a manual save, did *not* reload, and simply fast-traveled to the nearest point.
Still worked! Got 2 more Tungsten ingots.
The guards were on a slightly different road though, to the north walking _towards_ the city.
Thanks a bunch for this. Just an improvement tip. Theres a bush just behind where they spawn, do the save and load thing from there instead.. Doing it from there you double the profit as it only takes about half the time you are spending in this video :D

This worked like a charm for me (11/30/2020). Most of the time just the guy with the ingot walked down the hill so it was easy pickings. Never got less the 2 titanium and never more than 4. This is rather repetitive so I did this like I do when I'm spearfishing for silver, I turn the game sound off and just listen to a podcasts until I've had my fill.
It’s been fixed, I’m not sure if on purpose but, the bodies stay and also it will work 1 time they also don’t reset so you get lucky for getting 1-3 tungsten ingots
It's not fixed the road in the video is the least ingot producing road but it still works I made a list of 4 roads that produce every type of ingot.. check the list👆👆👆

AS OF 7/21/21 , on PC, this isn’t quite as easy or quick anymore, but you can still farm for unlimited Tungsten if you go into the town, because the soldier with the pouch respawns in the main town, accompanied by a Goliath and another soldier. It doesn’t respawn at the fork anymore, though, you have to go into town and look for them. So it will take you longer to farm a lot.
I usually assassinate the soldier, quickly loot the tungsten, then get far enough away from the other soldiers to fast travel across the map, then save the game, load the save, then fast-travel back to the synchro point in the NW corner of Lesdecesteshire. Usually call my horse and then ride around the town looking for the pouch soldier again.Sometimes you get more than one group that’s carrying Tungsten. I don’t even wait for them to walk out of town anymore because I’ve leveled up enough to survive just fine in the thick of the soldiers in the town. But then I do dash out of town and fast-travel away again to save.
So it still works, but now you have to earn it.

I found for the first portion of this it is easier to assassinate the strongest guy first and if you come up from behind them you can get a good chain assassination on then which makes it even quicker.
UPDATE: It doesn't work as quickly since the recent patch but if you 1. Blow up the corpse with the booby trap skill and 2. you're super patient, you can keep looting him over and over. I'd recommend finding your own method but I think you'll find he respawns (regardless of saving and re-loading). And the spawn time varies from instantly to probably around 5mins. So if you run around clearing out Glowecestre and checking with Synin you'll find he keeps rolling through town with his posse just begging to be looted 😉 (NOTE: he seems to spawn on the roads leading in and out of town but always the opposite side of town to your location. So if you kill him on the western road just outside of town he should spawn on the eastern side after you destroy the body).

It's supposed to actually work that way it is a in-game feature to help correct a glitch known as the absent tungsten glitch what causes all function that fits within the world disappear so this particular guard is meant to be a Band-Aid for that issue
The tungsten still works just synchronize yourself to the raven peak and travel back to it every time h do the run
For the nickel spot. there's a tower with a fast travel point on top. Its south east of wesburie. Below in that tower is a single npc with nickel. So far everytime i fast traveled to that point he had respawned. But i think saving and quiting outside would work as well. And since there's no enemies, that would work really well in think.

It glitched out and didn’t let me collect the tungsten so you have to keep saving and loading until you see the bars go up
Trying this January 9 2021 and I can’t get it to work. The horse passes by every time but the group isn’t patrolling
Also on the previous coment , the guy just Respawns every 10 min right at the crossings in the near by village, when u use odins sight the guy is wearing small pouch on his waist, this is how u can recognise him, but be ware if u don't kill him first among the 4 npc, he runs like hell it is nearly impossible to catch him so make sure u kill him first ,ITS STILL THERE IT IS NOT PATCHED, SO JUST WALK AROUND AND WAIT FOR HIM TO RESPOWN AT THE CROSSINGS

The fastest method i found is the go straight up to the guy that has it and steal it from him, do a quick save rather than a manual and reload. Takes like 10 seconds tops and they won't discover you and all you gotta do is hold 1 button since it auto walks when you start stealing

First method no need for gold check mark. I just did this with that area hardly unlocked. This bush idea got me all I needed to upgrade my blacksmith hammer two bows my crit war pike and all my armor and I grabbed few for spare. I moved up to the bush right where they spawn. so no need for bird I spawned behind them 2/3 sleep arrows kill and repeat. ALSO BONUS ITS A XP FARM. I LEVELED TWICE.

It’s a money method so put guaranteed assassinations on take out the big guy first for a faster run use harpoon too very helpful skill
or just use advanced assassination. either way, good advice!

@@jiro6172 sleep arrows give you away. If you kill him when he's in the back of the group with an advanced assassination you can get two kills off before having to fight anyone.
The Ark-Ham Sandwich no because if you move up to the bush where they spawn you are behind them. I can get three sleep arrows off before them even know what’s going on. Walk up kill all three while they are laying on the ground
@@jiro6172 then what happens when you run out of arrows? Using 3 at a time you'll drain them pretty quick and have to go get more. This way you don't have to worry about wasting time doing that

Save, reload, fast travel then they reappear, usually in a few different locations and sometimes more than 1 group. Pay attention to titanium in area too, as they'll respawn as well.

It seems this has been patched and no longer works. They don't respawn for me.
it still works on ps4 in June '23! well.................sorta. so the first time i loaded my save, all the guys were still dead. so then, on this same save, i went to the river spot and called for the longship. when i went back to the bush, i was met with the brother looking for revenge with his revenge note. so i performed another save/reload and then the group with tungsten was there again!
except i haven't been able to recreate it again. and after trying several things including fast traveling to the nearest town's lookout and going back to the spot again, there are 2 dead soldiers i killed next to the lookout before i did my first save of this venture. so they've remained dead this whole time even after the group re-spawned for me once. and the revenge note guy keeps re-spawning every time i do a new save/load from the bush. peculiar...........
i maxed my Eivor yesterday using a trick i found in a vid by Jorraptor, and i *will* be trying this as well as i'm *always* short on tungsten

Also there’s an invisible and Xp glitch
For invisible glitch -
Roll the dice (at Ravensthorpe) then fast travel after flipping coin (do not exit the coin flip screen stay in it while you fast travel)
After fast traveling enable HUD, and no enemy will see you and you can get an instant assassination
For XP Glitch (you need to do the invisibility one first)
Travel to the Dark Weald in England (south-west of Winchestre) and find the Cat boss, ONLY KILL THE BIG CAT NOT THE SMALLER ONE) after killing it, run out of the area and return and rinse and repeat
wait when you do that will you have to like save it every time you stop playing it like in the story missions or later in the game?
Ultimate question: Does anyone know how many Tungsten you need to upgrade everything (if it's even possible??)
Why would it not be possible
3 per weapon, 1 per armor, 3 per bow. Seeing as armor is still being added as well as weapons, the number will continue to increase. I say, get 14 tungsten and focus on your main power set so you can get more tungsten for your alternate armor/weapons/bows. Stop after about 20 tungsten, spend them, maybe hunt for carbon ingots (to make mythical I think?) and them grind for money somewhere. I’m still running the rivers for fish. Money is slow regardless.

This is ideal :) thanks, the tungsten one works great everytime I save and reload I get either 1, 2 or 3 titanium and a tungsten but for the nickel one that doesn't work how I'd like it too. Everytime I save and reload it keeps jumping between 11, 12 or 13 that I already have it won't let me collect more for some reason hmmmm :/
Awesome! Must be your (player character) level affects how much loot you get. I noticed you've got 4 bars of adrenaline; so I'm guessing you've progressed much further than I have. I'm lvl 64. Never got more than 1 tungsten and 3 Ti ingots at a time; NO nickel ingots at all. Oh well----better than what I had! Thanks! BTW: It's Glau chester shire. ;) Or, close to it.
Everybody save some time! After you kill him save, then just load that save don’t quit to main menu.

I've been raiding and unfogging all of England and got nothing but titanium and gold ingots but not one Tungsten. Someone tell me why?
What power level are you for me I had to advance in the game before I got it
You can buy them at the merchants at Settlement Level 6, you don’t find Tungsten until you go into 190+ power level regions

In that time, it was pronounced Gloc-ces-ter-shire I believe. One npc told me to fish for an eel so he could make his Gloucestershire sauce (which reminded me of Worcestershire).
