It is working on 20-03-2024. And you don't need to go anywhere. Fast travel at this location. And after riding 700 metre East, you will see the same group. One boss and 4 guards carrying 2 tungsten. Kill the boss with hunter bow which is available at earlier stage. Rest are easy to kill. Use raven to check the guards holding tungsten. Kill them all because you will get silver too. If someone wants to ask anything about this, i am ready to give information. You don't need to save the game. After looting the tungsten, fast travel to any other location and come back to this location. Every run gave you 2 tungsten Enjoy the game. Cheers
This still works. I managed to save the game at a point, where only the tungsten guy walks towards me for a free assassination and loot 9 out of 10 times. I removed the point in Chain Assassination for even faster assassinations
So instead of stealing it, I just assassinated them. Block the guard without the tungsten from walking until he is far enough away from the others to do the silent kill, then double kill the other two. Took 30 secs exactly.
Ghost mode. Enter any Orlog game and when the "Roll Phase" prompt shows, immediately fast travel to anywhere other than where you are at the time (especially if ur in Ravensthorpe). You're then rendered invisible to any enemies. Wildlife still flees, enemies may still speak, but they'll never attack
Just tried this myself. It takes a little bit of practice, but the tips in the video are pretty decent. I found a pretty good spot just in the grass off the road to save at and if you do it right as you spawn in you're almost right behind the guy with the ingot and as long as you don't touch him when pickpocketing, they other guards behind you don't seem to notice.
@@gio6487 Oh man, I think they patched this since then. I don't think the guards spawn in a set location anymore. You can try loading in from that spot and launch sunin and see if you find any moving glowing orbs nearby, that would most likely be the guard you're looking for.
Or you can stand slightly down the hill, save the game and then load the save you just made and the tungsten man will just walk down the path by himself to assassinate. Once you successfully trigger the man to walk alone every time you save and load he will do it again. You can literally let him take 8 footsteps away from his group as the other 2 are stood still facing the other direction. It takes 2-4 seconds to assassinate him, then you can save and load, repeat. I'm not sure exactly what triggers the tungsten man to do this but 90% of the time for me you can trigger it very easily and once you have he walks alone 100% of the time.
Just FYI for people having issues stealing without getting caught, comparing my two saves, I'm always noticed on the max stealth difficulty, and never noticed on the lowest.
This is has changed now. The guy with the tungsten has a restricted area around him. so no wandering nearby, but you can still steal, my guy seems to wander away from the pack so makes it tricky if they stay together. still works the farming tho
Added streamline tip (as requested): use the orlog immortality glitch, combined with the guaranteed assassination setting, makes getting xp at lower levels, and getting tungsten super fast. I mean... If we're exploiting stuff, why not, right?
Great help to get tungsten fast... but having spent almost 400 hrs on Odyssey+ all expansion packs I value the time I actually play without looking for shortcuts. I payed for this game so I want to let everything take its time and explore every single detail of it. 😁
Let everything take its time? I'm at a point in game where all the quests I have are grinds. Kill all order members, upgrade the settlement, complete the jotunheim arc (I'm way below the recommended level) etc etc. Valhalla's level design is crap
It's not patched I've found a couple ways to get them to still show or walk thru everytime. Might have 2 sit there for about 30 or 40secs sometimes but still working
This shit still works even after the patch lol and also keep coming back to it. Say you get bored of it and wanna play the game again, just come back later to get more tungsten
I have a convienient bug on my game There’s this ‘man at arms’ enemy in Stenwege camp in eurvicscire with a gold dot above his head and every time I kill him I get a tungsten Ingot Killed him 3 times now and I’ve progressed in the story to the point I’m welcome in that camp and there’s all these friendly Vikings and then there’s 1 PICT enemy there, even when his dead the gold dot doesn’t dissapear from his head
don't know about the console version but in PC this no longer works. There is now a 4th guy, a big guy that always stays behind the guy with the tungsten and he always stops you when you try to steal it so you end up having to fight them
I just went to that spot and they didn't even spawn. So it may have been a patch that prevented you from farming, and now the 3 soldiers have been removed all together 🤷♀️
Seriously lol? I figured this out the 1st time I farmed tungsten but you sure as Hell don't get one every 10 seconds. No need to lie .... still an entertaining video.
check some lists to know what weapons the game offers now,pick some and go where the guides will sent you,found some nice weapons and shields that method myself,like a shield giving me some chance for healing on parry-just start lunden campaign and there in very first quest you will be sent to location where it sits :) not mentioning that its mythical visual is going nicely with thegn set´s mythical look.

Another way of doing this is assassinating the bannerat (the big guy) and then u can just kill the other 2 soldiers as they are not much of a challenge
I can't get them to repsawn through loading a quick save, I have to fast travel then head back to the location. Is this still working after the latest hotfix or am I doing something wrong? I'm on PS5 and I'm at the exact location shown in the video. I'm also killing them BTW as I can't seem to stop them from becoming aggressive.
For me Tungsten was never a rare material. that chest and dudes with the golden icon over the head respawning in the game. after getting their material, that golden icon removed from players map but they respawning after a while. but nice video and thank you

So i killednall the guys around the tungsten guy but left him. Rode off on horse came back he was by himself. I saved the game. Stole the metal iff him and save the game again. Now everytime i load in the tungsten guy is by himself everytime ready to be pick pocketed
It's weird I try to do the same thing, but when I load the save it shows that the guy has one and I confirmed he's valuable w the crow, but it won't let me pickpocket him again..? 😕 Can you confirm it's still working?
I had the same issue for a while too. I found a slightly bigger bush (not big enough to hide in, but it's a good landmark), just in the grass off the road right by where he tells you to save at. if you save while facing down the hill, in that larger tuft of grass off the road, you'll spawn in right behind him and if you're crouched on save, you'll spawn in crouched as well and as long as you don't touch the guy with the ingot, you can crouch walk and steal... I can get this to work about 90% of the time.

This works really well just one tip. Don't try to steal from the front they will attack you

In my experience, the soldiers notice me even when I try to sneak. It’s not too big a deal, but it would be great if they just kept walking.

5:08 okay that’s not the same for me. if i get within 5 feet from them, they’ll notice me and become hostile idk why it’s so annoying
If they aint there when you get there just save and reload and they will apear

I did this for a short period of time, was really easy, lol.
You can get the tungsten once you can't keep going to your save and load back in so its PATCHED

You can also go on God mod and make it even faster and easy without getting attacked.

They have PATCHED IT
That fucking sucks they patched all of them all the farms now your forced to by their packs
They didn’t patch it there’s two groups of people one group has tungsten and the other doesn’t
The second group with tungsten takes a little while to walk by but when they do and you save your good
it’s patched mates they won’t allow to pickpocket 2nd time after loading save
You can still do it with explosive body skill, just need to explode the body

New way when u kill him and get tungsten then manual save and reload that save they keep on spawning
