- I applied every single lot challenge and the haunted house lot type. This is the second time we've done it, so we have some extra twists!

I think a neat challenge would be to improve your house each time you remove a challenge, but in such a way that it makes sense. For example for dog hangout: build a fence, for foxes,: have a bin shed, vampire nexus: put up garlic, mould: get a better roof with no holes etc.

Ideas for removing haunted house: having to get the brave trait (8,000 pts) and/or getting a paranormal license and maxing the career.
Second getting the paranormal license and maxing career. It will add a level of difficulty to the challenge that James loves.

@@Dr_Sleepenstein technically you can reach a certain level, but it isn't like promotions in the traditional careers, like you get bonuses and awards for "levels"
SPIN THAT WHEEL! 😂 To remove the Haunted House Residential trait you could have it that Samaj has to befriend all the spirits on the lot, including Guidry and Bonehilda
Yes! I love Bonehilda! If he does it while the lot still has gremlins, she can help clean everything, too!
the problem with this one is, I don't know if it's even posible. Because all the spirits count Temperance or the mean ghost. And I'm not sure is she can become a friend or not
@@Sytrylt she can, but I say you have to woohoo with them all.
@@SytryltYou can befriend Temperance but like Greg she is programmed to reject most interactions and perform mean interactions that make befriending her difficult. Sims also get a trait that makes them scared when she's around.

For the haunted house: could it be to complete the medium skill and befriend Bonehilda and Gudry. Or get like a 3 or more stars in a freelance paranormal work.
I really needed a laugh today and seeing Semaj, Lilith and Francine keep slipping on the ghost puddles was a highlight

I did not expect to laugh at that but the more they fell the more I laughed.
There's only 17 things you can "remove" with the goals. I say add 7 more items to the wheel. Maybe plus Simoleons like 1, 5, 10, 100, 500, 1K, 5K for example. That way, you have to do all of the challenges.
Or to add a positive lot trait like the money-giving gnomes for each further challenge completed!
That also reduces the chance that Semaj can remove a lot trait making the game last longer.
@@crotchwolf1929 yep! That's the idea. I think I would even leave the money options on the wheel so that you might have challenges that are never removed and you have to keep the whole time.

I think I've rewatched it five or six times. One of my favorites of Jame's ever. That one, Cottage Living, Horse Ranch and the Seasons series. I just started rewatching the original of this last night so I was shocked and happy to see a new series of this.

A spellcaster medium and his vampire roommate living in the worst house ever?
for an extra challenge you could vote in one of the more annoying neighbourhood action plans, like the ones where you get fined if you don't comply, or the one where they take your stuff. and you can make a lot of money from befriending the specters and also actually become a celebrity from selling the stuff they give you, so you could then fight the paparazzi.
I would love to see a challenge where you do everything that is offered. For example, any time someone calls to hang out, or donate money, or get married. Or any of the calls that come in you have to do them no matter what you are in the middle of.
It would make it less difficult, but if you're home at 9:30 pm when Guidry appears, him being there and awake will keep the gremlins away and nothing will break.
It does take a few days for him to appear, though, so he was still going to have issues with it for a bit.
I remember in the last series it got to a point that there was always someone awake at midnight so gremlins became less of an issue.
In my game a cat somehow won the lottery XD I feel like this chaotic energy is spreading XD
It happens a lot in my game. I hate that pets are sims enough to win the lottery but not enough for us to beg the grim reaper for a few more days with them.
Seeing expensive food and deciding "maybe I'm not that hungry actually" is relatable
As a companion to the grilled cheese aspiration, when giving gifts to spectres you should always give them either grilled cheese, or something you found in the prairie grass
Not James forgetting that fishing gives you fun again 😂😂😂 I am surprised he’s doing this challenge again because I thought the first time he was miserable but I do like the goals and spinner wheel!

Love to see the series back! There are more challenges to remove than challenges to do, though so, here's a few ideas...
- have a work rivalry
- get the blessing of the sun (JA)
complete the werewolf relic collection
-collect the skulls from the day of the dead
- reach charisma level 10 without using the mirror
-. attend the turtle hatching in Sulani
- get hit by Crumplebottom's purse
- win a vegetable contest at the fair
- gift a death flower floral arrangement
- wear the forbidden sweater (NK)
- reach the top of mount komorebi/woohoo in the cave
I wish cracks and scuffs cost negative money in build/buy mode. Like, it should cost you money to get rid of them, and adding them decreases your house value

Mine too. I've rewatched it a bunch. As long as he doesn't do the Strangerville Mystery again, I'm excited! I wish he hadn't gotten rid of Simple Living so quickly. It's so much funnier when the first ones he checks off are the ones that don't bother him like Wild Foxes or Filthy.
I feel like max ghost hunting carreer makes sense to remove the haunted house

An extra challenge could be accepting every like/ dislike and new trait that pops up. So Semaj would have to dislike handiness and be paranoid on top of everything else

Unpopular opinion, I'm more invested in this new challenge that the current gameplay, the new expansion pack is so buggy!! I'm glad that James keeps coming with fun content though
Semaj's neighbor comes over to fix stuff and is completely flirty with him- sounds like someone was expecting some compensation for her help.

I think it's better next time to repair and clean everything with magic since you need to get cursed anyway. It's also will be much easier for you to deal with all this mess :D
He also needs to get his handiness skill to level 10, so I think repairing stuff by hand would be a quick way of doing that, especially if he's repairing 4-5 appliances every day for the foreseeable future. But I agree- repairing and cleaning with magic would make things MUCH easier 🙂
@@Nimeariel he can just do both. it took a lot of time to fix everything and it will become tiresome at some point.

Maybe if he can't get the gremlins trait removed quickly, he can work on handiness until he gets his repario and scrubaroo spells and then pick and choose which ones to magic and which ones to repair manually. And then just get the woodworking bench and sell the carvings for money!
Maybe you could remove the haunted house residential as a reward for completing one of the three really hard ones (go to sixam, go to the forgotten grotto and lift the curse of the night wraith)
The haunted house makes it nearly impossoble to get your sim to do ANYTHING, I think it'd be frustrating even to watch
@@Kristenhas3cats haunted house by itself is fairly easy; once he gets a few of the more difficult lot challenges out of the way (gremlins and grody in particular, im glad he got simple living out already) it'll be cake. just wait for a thunderstorm to roll around, that was always a fun combo XD
yay!! i think you should turn NPC voting off and then cheat in some annoying NAPs, like the sharing is caring one - except you don't get to use it to your benefit. even adding some and not doing the necessary things will push bills up, so that would add a challenge. and then add them to the spinny wheel and cheat them off when they pop up 🙌🏽 you could even replace them with the two cool ones that make the neighbourhood nice, to accompany you improving your house (modern development and green initiatives or something like that).
No, the NAPs have to be removed by asking neighbours to vote! that will be so much harder 😅 especially if everyone hates him because of the starts fights thing 😂

I think something you should add to the list is get hit by Agnes Crumplebottom's purse 😂 not difficult but you'd have to go out of your way to do it and it's always dramatic when it happens.
Storytime: My sim was in a nightclub hitting on Mortimer and got "Crumplebottomed" and then the entire nightclub's population ended up mysteriously knocked out on the floor just a few minutes later. Everyone except Agnes Crumplebottom.

Love this challange! I think getting full medium skill and becoming a paranormal investigater sounds like a good goal for getting rid of the haunted house trait. Maybe also getting the “brave” trade from the reward store?

To get rid of the haunted residential trait you could marry bonehilda. This was a great start to this mini series and it’s nice to see James enjoying himself a lot more hopefully the sims team cracks on with fixing bugs. Hope everything all good James and new puppy doing well

This is the greatest idea ever. I've been trying to complete each of these myself in a single game but doing this as a rags to riches with extra challenges is HILARIOUS. So excited!
To get rid of Vampire Nexus, Semaj should have to become a vampire! That will also take care of the "transform into an occult" goal

The first time you played this was one of my early introductions to Sims TH-cam and by far my favorite Sims series ever. So chaotic, we love to see it.
Maybe you could turn bust the dust on as a challenge. Also, I think the hand item in buy mode for paranormal stuff gives you the ability to choose the difficulty of the haunting, maybe you could go from super haunted to less haunted before getting rid of it. Also, you could add the challenge of having to agree to every phone call as a challenge. So Bess calls up, there goes all your money lol
james for future reference, you can look for frogs an unlimited amount of times in that pond! sometimes you'll be unsuccessful but you can just keep clicking look for frogs! so much easier than running around for the logs :)
I would take out the harder challenges from the wheel and apply those to specific harder tasks on the checklist - like say you can remove the haunted house lot trait when you made ambrosia or when you got that specific spellcaster curse removed. Just to make it harder and more fun of course :)

The original series of this is one of my favorites of yours. I just started rewatching it again last night and now here you are with a new one! I agree the first half was slow but it got so much better as it continued. I'm shocked that you were able to cook all those grilled cheese sandwiches without the stove catching on fire from the Cursed trait. That was such a problem in the first series. Can't wait to see the next episode of this. So much better than the For Rent series (not because of you but because of the stupid bugs). If you want high value items and a cow plant berry, you should fish off the dock in Magnolia Promenade. High probability of cow plant berries, dragonfruit and voodoo dolls in a short time fishing.
