I feel that I won’t be able to learn and then speak any language fluently without having an emotional connection to or excitement about the country it originates from. It’s simply not enough for me to only rely upon logical reasons behind learning, like ‘it’s widely spoken’ or ‘it’s a growing market’.
@@kstar_ca that’s true! all people have different reason and goals to learn languages. Someone just enjoying to leaning proses and even never have been to that country. We are all different:)
Exactly! there has to be a compelling reason to speak a language. I was trying chinese and then I asked myself why.. I knew no women! Knew no chinese people and had no reason. Niwhere to practice! Just loving chinese food is not enough!! So I quit and went back to my other languages.
If you speak English and your native language you are good to go everywhere.
I am Chinese and studied in Portugal before. Nice to learn other languages.
