I had 12 core biopsy. 3 cores Gleason 6. I was convinced my low grade cancer would grow so slowly I would never have to worry about it. I adopted a strict plant based diet and practiced a very healthy lifestyle. My cancer turned into a very aggressive form of the disease and within 5 years I had Gleason 9 throughout my entire prostate. Take Gleason 6 seriously. Thank you.
Unfortunately for you Mango the biopsy missed the higher grade sample , an MRI would have identified that. I am so sorry things worked out that way for you. The numbers of proven studies of 3+3 & 3+4 (Epstein1 & 2 grades) & not having progressed is now in the scores of thousands. There’s no fix for overtreatment, not even an apology.
