I think that it is so important that the NASCAR Cup Series continue to schedule events here at North Wilkesboro, NC. I agree with Richard and Dale, the Cup Series cars have got to have more horsepower. If close racing and the ability to pass other cars is important for a good race, these drivers need more throttle and horsepower. Richard and Dale can provide a lot of insight about how to win at North Wilkesboro. From 1958 - 1992, Richard won 15 events there, all in a Petty Enterprises car. I’m sure that The Chief was more than capable of dealing with any disputes in the garage area after a race! I think that the NASCAR All-Star event at North Wilkesboro Speedway was a success. Congratulations to the #22 Team and Joey Logano on winning the All-Star race in a big way. I greatly appreciate this recap by Richard and Dale.

It was good to see action at old North Wilkesboro again. The place looks great. If it was up to me, we would move the Clash to mid-summer in 2025 on a Saturday night at Nashville Fairgrounds. Anyone with me?

Maurice Petty was well known as “the enforcer “, if needed. Nobody messed with him.

I wish Dale would stop correcting himself when he says we. When Lee went over the wall in Daytona, everybody left the team. Dale, Maurice and Richard had to get everything running again. He deserves some of the credit for all of those wins and innovation.

I herd a story one time that Maurice went after another driver in the press box at Martinsville after wrecking the 43.
Could be a wise tale !

Something has to change for the short track racing to improve. With all due respect to North Wilksboro, both of the last 2 All Star races have been very boring races.

Richard keeps telling them they need more horsepower. Short tracks won’t get any better until they get back to 750.

I figure mnascar wants entertaining races, they need more horsepower and faster speeds....zzz...I've been a fan since the 50's. when did stock cars start having one giant center lugnut?
