  • NASCAR Cup champs Kurt Busch (2004) and Kyle Busch (2015, 2019) detail their sibling rivalry that’s progressed from their time as kids wrecking each other in karts to adults in the limelight and racing’s biggest stage. The two share stories of their beefs and brotherly bonds, including a crash at the 2007 All-Star Race that halted conversation for a year and a wink and a pass at Kentucky in 2019.

You have to chalk it up to seat time. Kyle raced every overlapping truck & Busch race he could. Kurt didn't do that. No, the vehicles aren't the same but enough a like that seat time makes all the difference. When NASCAR took that option away recently Kyle has not been as awesome. Kurt had a lot of cringe worthy moments but his battle with Craven was epic.

This is my only disappointment in the Busch brothers. I get the competition side of it. My brother was the same way. Every sport I played so did he but was just a bit better at everything. I embraced it and was proud of how well he got. He always looked up to me and never thought he was better. But I could see it. Anyways he died in Afghanistan and I dont have that chance any more. The Busch boys still have that chance to show how brothers can compete and be nothing but happy for the other. They are both excellent drivers and I enjoy how they have no filter with the words. I hope they can maybe look at the competition between themselves in a little different light. 2 of the best drivers in the world.
Edit. But I really do enjoy the competitiveness between them and that mindset is why they are both champions. It's in the bloodline you can see it from the old man down to the new tyke. They are racers so I get it and enjoy it and don't change a thing. And the post race interviews are gold. Keep em coming and have a hell of a year boys. Let's see a 1-2 finish this yr

We use to love heroes and those who gave their best and devoted their lives to being the best. Now we expect our would be heroes to be just like all the rest. We are told to praise mediocrity and find fault in those who try and be more. You don't beat the rest and become the best without upsetting those who are and will forever be mediocre. I would rather be led by assholes who won with no regrets than be a follower of those who don't have the balls to deal with the haters and say damn the torpedoes its win or bust.

Everyone seems to compare kyle to normal? He is an outlayer, winner and champion.. Nothing normal will get that kind of achievement. His brother and father made him the best he could be without ever knowing! Then i start to think, why do we compare everything to normal when normal is, well , normal.. The title of this should have been, the "making of a champion" who would not settle for normal. While everyone was being mature, kyle became the best.

He was really arrogant and a smartass, but We still have his hats! LOLLL Kyle Busch autograph on the hats. PFFFFT. Not that this is in anyway the same, but my som was in Bible quizzing and the kids were all told to not jump to answer questions so that two of the other kids could answer them because they were in their final year and so far had perfect records. The coaches wanted them to end the year with perfect records. I threw a fit and pulled my kid out and told them what I thought of their “Christian” ways. So lots of people expect you to just let them win.
