  • The newest GMC Acadia boasts a sleeker look, enhanced technology and greater efficiency in a slightly smaller and significantly lighter package that strategically repositions it to further separate it from GMC’s full-size Yukon.

    is it just me or does that car look fuckin good. the front grille and headlight led accents look well proportioned and the side profile is so clean. the denali version looks nice too. I've never seen a gmc I'm not American but it does look nice

    Good spot on the headlamps. I'm seriously annoyed brand new cars have dim, even dangerously dim, headlights. I hope auto companies stop being cheap on a critical nighttime safety feature.

      It's actually not the auto companies faults, the USDOT just has very strict rules on headlights. They have to be shitty to pass. That's why we can't have the cool tail lights on the Euro Mercedes and Audis, they're just too well designed.

    Just picked up a 2017 Acadia Denali, what an awesome vehicle. Perfect size and plenty of power. On my first tank of gas and a long drive I managed over 25 MPG and it has less than 300 miles on it. I suspect that will get better. Perfect vehicle for my family. I didn't want or need a full size SUV. USAF Retired

    Great review. GM need to step up their interior design. And why did they make it smaller? i would prefer they kept the old proportions and give it more power and updated interior.

    • @Agent77X
      @Agent77X 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bambataa Smaller means less materials used in the making of Acadia and charging the same for it, you can figure that out!

      HW2800 I know what you mean. These greedy bastards no that they can get away with it because most people don't bother to say no. I know a guy who was so disgusted with the downsizing that he decided to buy a Traverse.

    • @shortfuse75
      @shortfuse75 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bambataa I agree. I hate that it got smaller. I was going to buy a 2017 Acadia. I owned a 2008 version and loved it. When I saw what they did with the new design I was thoroughly disappointed. I talked with the local GMC dealer in my town, and they don't even like the new design. However, they also told me people are buying them like hotcakes, so I might be in the minority with how I feel.

  • @speedfiend925
    @speedfiend925 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I found the build quality in the 2018 I rented to appear solid. However, visibility out the rear window was compromised and I found knowing where the front of the car was challenging when parking. Might have to go for the Denali if I ever get one since the lighting is dim without HIDs. These should be standard at this price point. Not sure if the wood accents were real but they looked convincing. The ride seemed a bit choppy over bad or uneven pavement but I was driving it in Sport mode which I read in the owner's manual tightens up the suspension damping. It seemed to ride better in Touring mode. Overall a nice effort by GM.

    Ok, too be honest, LED front and rear light should be standard on vehicles starting around 30k, h___ the Toyota Corolla has them standard (front headlights) and hopefully, the 2018 gets GM's new 9 speed auto, would also be nice if all awd models offered the GKN dual clutch awd system, that comes standard all the Acadia All Terrain

    I think it's time they media outlets stop pretending pricing works the same for all brands. MSRP for GM is thousands above actual price anyone needs to pay. MSRP for Toyota is often very close to what you'll actually pay. I'm not saying I like that it works that way, but this vehicle with 3-5k off becomes pretty compelling.

    I test drove a Buick years ago and was sitting in the back seat noticing the materials in the rear were far worse then front of the car. I was like I bet on the website none of the pictures show the back seat, and I was right. GM likes put some nice stuff that eyes are focused on but puts garage where not looking. Its old human habit of never looking up or down only straight ahead.

    I cant believe GM is still incurring in the same errors and lack of attention to detail that brought the company to the bankruptcy... I cant believe a brand that is only sell in US (perhaps Mexico as well) they cant manage to make it under good quality control... Or maybe that lack of attention to details and quality is what GM considers "good"...
    Sorry, but I'll stay with Toyota or Honda, even with Ford.

What happened to the GM counterparts? They look hideous and the build quality aren't great either. Not saying any domestic brands are good at building solid cars in the first place.
