  • The all-new 2017 GMC Acadia All-Terrain loses 2 seats and gains a bit more capability off the beaten path, but is it truly as mean as it looks? M.S.R.P. - $47,465.

    Nice review! Looking at buying a used 2017 at Carmax (21000) miles, $28,988. Your review was very helpful.

    that interior tho. its nicer than most of Lincolns line up... damn. GMC has been making those moves, but i would still much prefer the Denali over the Terrain

      We like the Denali, too, justin bouche. Especially on the Yukon, but that blackout treatment on this All-Terrain was HOT!

    wow, I'm liking the all-terrain over the denali now. The black out looks great! Especially the gray wood trim, great review!

      Thank you, PeteyP39. We're happy you enjoyed the video. As long as you don't need the third row, this All Terrain is a really nice version of the Acadia. Thanks for watching!

    I prefer the black trim over all the Denali's chrome, but we need 6 seats and want up scale as our retirement road trip vehicle. Guess there is always PlastiDip. Love your vid/review, provided a great deal of useful info. USAF Retired.

    Hey, great review. We're looking at the Acadia for a replacement family car, though we want three rows.
    Not trying to be disrespectful, but, in your video title, you should say "Fewer" seats, not "Less."
    "Fewer" is for words representing things that you can count, or that you can break down into individual units, such as "fewer seats" or "fewer miles." "Less" is for words representing things that you can't count or break down into units, such as "less fuel" or "less power."
    That said, your production quality is pretty good, so keep up the good work!

      We appreciate the constructive criticism, akitadog01. We're going to have to give the editor of our video titles a stern looking at. Happy you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!

    I think this redesign represents a positive one for GM. I would certainly go this route before the Traverse or Enclave.

      We like the design of this new Acadia a lot. But did you happen to see the newly revealed 2018 Traverse at NAIAS? Not too shabby, either.

      therealme812 Yes, I agree. This offering is very nice and the slightly reduced size makes it a great choice when stepping down from our minivan. I like this one a lot.

    Well done! That was a great review. The new styling is much better than the outgoing model. Thank goodness they didn't use the push button shifter like on the new Terrain. How was rough road compliance?

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the trail, this Acadia felt pretty good, Scott F. We wouldn't take it anywhere too rough, though, due to the limitations of its ground clearance and for fear of getting stuck due to the on-road biased tires. But for light trails it was fine. By the way, thank you very much for subscribing!

    I like the All Terrain features but did not like the butterscotch leather only seat color available and the gray bottom plastic skirt cladding. the image of the $42K just looks economy model! Ugh!

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That interior color has been polarizing for many people and on many different brands of vehicles. Chris didn't seem to mind it, but others here at AutoAcademics felt otherwise. Thank you for your comments and for watching, HW2800!

    • @scottfurlong5475
      @scottfurlong5475 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      HW2800 Yeah, that seat color is not very nice. I fell in love with the 'Coca Dune' interior option in the Chevy Silverado but that sort of seat treatment does not help this vehicle at all. Looks too 'King Ranch' for my taste.

    These acadias check your transmission fluid on the regular it burns right through it !
    It’s a horrible designed car, we have nothing but issues with that drive train from the get go. Changed out fluids blacker than tar at 40k miles no off-roading nothing just normal to work and back miles.
    This car now also has the “shift to park issues” that gmc doesn’t recall on (there is class action lawsuit going on about it)
    Here’s something you can do if you have the issue. Pull the shifter upwards off the mid console (pulls right off) clean the old grease up, spray some lubricant down the shaft and that will make it a intermediate problem if not solves it completely in some cases.
    At gm they will replace the entire harness as they are clueless (which isn’t even the problem) and costly.
    It’s the cheap 50cent or so pressure switch . That binds up as they used some white cheap ass lubricant on it. It binds it up !
    I would steer (pun intended) away from this disaster on wheels
    On my vacation in couple months, I will see if I can trade it in.

      @devilsrejects_1191 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Seems like u got the one of a few with that issue, i had the shift to park as well, harness was issue. Gm paid for it, no prob since, also no trans fluid issues, and zero leaks anywhere, hands down best truck ive ever had, since u hate it so much go buy a pos ford and live in a world of constant issues and breakdowns

    So am I the only one that remembers the GMC Envoy the interior "center console" reminds me of that vehicle....anyone have the specs to compare the two...I am pretty sure just by eye balling..its the same size give or take....Envoy 2.0...but still too much money and the build quality is not there it rattles too much for the price...I rather buy a volvo xc90...

    • @djayt1215
      @djayt1215 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the envoy center console looks more like the outgoing traverse and acadia. Also, theres no way you could get a xc90, with the same tech for that price.
